MY REVIEW: Very good food, quiet restaurant, unobtrusive staff. The lunch buffet is $9.99 and has some very good options which vary from day to day. I’ve had the buffet at 2 other Pakistani places and several Indian places and this beats them all. The mutton biryani is excellent, likewise the chicken jalfrazi and chicken karahi. Daal and other sides have also been good. One interesting dish was kari palora (?), a yoghurt and tofu dish that looked a lot like Swedish meatballs. Naan is excellent, it comes out hot as needed, just remember if you’re running out and want more signal the waitress before you run out as it takes a bit to bake, of course.
The buffet is 6 days a week (closed Tuesdays) and also on holidays for no extra charge, even though they add extra dessert options on special days, including Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. I'm looking forward to an evening visit and choosing from the menu.
Though the restaurant has a Bissonnet address it’s actually a block off Bissonnet at the intersection of Plainfield and Ponderosa and easy to miss.

MY REVIEW: We go about once a week to La Sani and it never fails to satisfy. We live inside the loop and have many other options but we drive out here about once a week for their wonderful cooking! The food is extremely fresh and the preparation is excellent. From the simplest to the most complex dishes, the flavors are always perfect and the quality superb. The staff is extremely kind and the service excellent. This really is a hidden gem! The prices are VERY VERY reasonable for food of this quality. We order their food to go for parties and everyone always raves! If you like south asian food, you must try La Sani!!

MY REVIEW: The food here is the best south Asian in Houston - hands down. All of the food is carefully prepared to order and the quality and taste is phenomenal. The service is fast and courteous and the prices are very reasonable. (Their reasonable catering is one of their best kept secrets) Houston is lucky to have such a place! We have been going here for years every week and I still look forward to each visit. Go and enjoy!!!

MY REVIEW: Went back tonight after almost three years and the food was as fantastic as I remembered it. The decor on the other hand seemed fancier than I recall. I had haleem (spciy lentil and meat preparation) which is not on the menu and it was wonderful. The chicken tikka was super-moist -- which is not always the case at many local South Asian restaurants. The okra was unusual yet delightful. The prices were very reasonable. I can't wait to go back. Definitely worth the drive for inner-loopers like us.

MY REVIEW: THis is the place for authentic food that really satisfies a craving for home-style desi food. The price is very reasonable for the buffet. This place is my favorite to go for iftar during Ramadan. I've never been very impressed with the desserts. True, the service leaves something to be desired, but assume that Pakistani/Indian restaurants are going to have lousy service. The owner who sits in the front is very friendly.

MY REVIEW: Best Indian/Pakistani food I've ever had in Houston: they use complex whole spices here, and go easy on the ghee (clarified butter). With lesser quality Indian food, only one or two flavors come out, and you get bloated very quickly from all the excess ghee they put into the sauces. At La Sani, they cook for people from the Indian subcontinent, not for silly weak-palated dilettantes...the result is beautifully authentic food. They also have an incredible lunch buffet, which is perfect if you want to sample different things. The lamb curry is especially good.
Great service, warm atmosphere though not as busy in the evenings.
Only two drawbacks: the rice pudding has a little too much cardammon in it, and this being a halal place, there's no alcohol on the menu.

MY REVIEW: Excellent food and service. So far the best Paksitani restaurant in Houston. May be a bit too spicy for people not from the sub-continent.
