MY REVIEW: I FEEL THAT 9 AMIGOS HAS COME A LONG WAY THIS SEASON. WITH THE NEW MANAGERS AT HAND THERE HAVE BEEN MANY SMALL AND BIG CHANGES THAT MAKE THIS RESTAURANT A GREAT HANG OUT SPOT BEFORE AND DURING THE GAME. I NOTICED SOME COMPLAINTS ABOUT CERTAIN ITEMS ON THE MENU BUT AS OF JUNE 2007 9 AMIGOS HIRED A NEW HEAD CHEF WHO IS WONDERFUL AND VERY EXPERIENCED. THIS WAS A GREAT MOVE FOR 9 AMIGOS BECAUSE HE HAS ENHANCED THE FLAVORS OF THE FOOD AND ADDED MORE TRADITIONAL QUALITIES TO THE MENU. 9 AMIGOS IS A GREAT PLACE TO GO EAT GREAT FOOD AND HAVE REAL TEQUILA MARGARITAS. THE PATIO IS A GREAT WAY TO ENTERTAIN CLIENTS OR GO FOR A FAMILY OUTING OR JUST HANG WITH FRIENDS. GO ON THE ASTROS WEBSITE FOR THE NUMBER TO RESERVE A TABLE. $65 FOR AN OPEN TABLE OR $110 RESERVATION INCLUDES YOUR TICKET TO THE GAME AND A THREE COURSE MEAL WHAT ELSE COULD BE BETTER. WHEN SITTING INSIDE ASK FOR VICTORIA SHE ALWAYS GIVES GREAT SERVICE AND CAN ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE. DONT ALWAYS BELIEVE WHAT YOU READ AND TRY THIS PLACE OUT FOR YOURSELF.

MY REVIEW: I had the worst meal I have ever had. I was able to choke down three bites of what was suppose to be a steak. I am still not sure what the meat was but it was definately not steak. Someone else at our table ordered the snapper. The smell of the fish when they brought it to the table was unbearable. The fish was sent back and a chicken dish was brought. I know the chicken was better than the fish and the steak but it was not great and was only half eaten. The desserts could have been good but they were served warm. I left the warm cheesecake on my plate. Our tickets were $110 which included our food. That is a total ripoff. I will never go back.

MY REVIEW: Great place to watch the game, but my food was absolutely terrible. Everyone else at our table had the same opinion. I was an invited guest and didn't pay for the ticket or meal. If had paid for it, I would have been very upset. The Astros organization or Minute Maid management needs to find some other restaurant to be out there.

MY REVIEW: I have left many messages for the management of this restaurant to get information about reserving the tables that are in the out field. NO ONE WILL CALL ME BACK. If they are not available for the general public, please just let me know.

MY REVIEW: I have read all the previous reviews - half were good and half were bad. We always get to the game early and sit at the patio. Our orders have always been right and the food has always been excellent. Their chicken quesadillas are some of the best in Houston and my husband always has the burrito and loves it. The queso is very good also. For the past two years we have had the same 2 waitresses at the patio and they have both been very hurried and very scattered - but they were always pleasant and always got our orders right. It is a little expensive but compared to the other stadium fare it is worth it.

MY REVIEW: My daughter had bought me tickets to see the Phillies/Astros game as a Mother's Day gift so as a treat I thought we would eat at 9 Amigos before the game. Upon arrival, the waitress brought over chips and hot sauce and took our drink order consisting of water and one diet coke. As we looked over the menu we both realized that there was really nothing on the menu to our liking for that night so we decided to just pay for the soda we had and leave. I asked the waitress to bring me the ticket and upon getting it I noticed they had charged me for the chips and hot sauce. I have always felt that was complimentary at a Mexican food restaurant and we had barely eaten any of the chips, non of the hot sauce but I thought whatever. My ticket came to $8.39 so I gave the waitress a twenty dollar bill... my change came back with only eleven dollars change. I questioned the waitress where the coins were and she said that they never give back change. That floored me and the only thing that kept me from ranting and raving was that my daughter gets very embarrassed if I "cause a stir".... needless to say I will not be eating there ever again. After leaving a dollar tip and telling the waitress to get the 61 cents to go along with it, I ended up spending ten bucks for nothing... No thanks, I will hit the vendors from here on out.

MY REVIEW: This place, sadly, has really fallen off in quality of food, and the range of offerings. Sad because, a captive audience deserves better choices regardless of the inflated price. To sum it up: High prices, mediocre food, mediocre presentation, music turned up too loud to run patrons through quickly. Drayton McLane! Please give us better food, service, and choices in what we can grab to eat when we come to the ballpark. If you have to price items that high to pay your bills, at least make it more palatable.

MY REVIEW: This was the absolute worst mexican food I have ever eaten! The enchiladas were disgusting, the waiter got our order wrong, and the prices were horrible! A bowl of queso for $13?? It'll set you back $50-60 for two adult and two kid entres, and that is with NO alcohol and no appetizers or dessert! However, maybe a stiff margarita would have helped! My husband and I decided that we should have sprung for better seats and ate before we set foot in the stadium. What a waste!!!!!

MY REVIEW: Quick, attentive service, everything was clean. The nachos were good, the fajitas were great! The T-bone was very thin, but tasted good. The $8 brownie is now legend in our family - MUST GET BROWNIE AT BALLGAME! All in all we enjoyed it, but can't afford to go often - dinner for four $121 before $20 tip.

MY REVIEW: My wife and I walked down here from our seats and ate dinner during the middle innings of a game. We both loved the idea of being able to eat a nice sit down meal at a comfortable table while at a ball game. We sat in the main dining room under the stands in a booth next to the windows and watched the game on tv, but it still felt like we were at a ball game. The margaritas were decent and the combo fajita nachos were actually quite good. It's unfair to compare this place to all the great mexican restaurants in Houston, but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend 9 Amigos to someone attending a ball game. You actually get real nachos and a real margarita made from tequila here. Elsewhere in the stadium, the margaritas are made from wine and the "nachos" are chips with cheese sauce poured over them. Our service was very good and the prices were good too, especially compared to the high ballpark concession prices. I will definitely be back.

MY REVIEW: Very bad service, non attentive. The food was cold ( nachos) The t-bone was paper thin, The restrooms were trashed out, management running like crazy but not managing the place. The place smell like sewer and the patio upstairs where we ate had many flies coming from the open trash container in the back. This is a shame for the city of Houston. Please make it better I love the Astros.

MY REVIEW: 9 Amigos is the best thing ever to happen at Minute Maid Park. It was off to a bad start, but the management has changed things completely there. I can't wait for the season to start back at it again. Watching the game from the centerfield is really fun and always a good time. The food is delectible in ever sense of the word and takes a different turn from just the regular or Rotel with Queso Tex Mex approach. 9 Amigos es excellente....

MY REVIEW: Centerfield Bar started out a bit rocky in April, but Aramark had enough sense to bring over some management help from Landry's. It rocks now! Food is okay, best item so far is the chicken/beef combo-nachos. Drinks are adequate, though nothing exceptional considering the cost. The management will cater to your needs. Wait-staff is okay, though they do have a couple of outstanding people. A problem is the constant shuffling of help between the main restaurant and Centerfield; you can't get the same person two days in a row. Ed, the Assistant Mgr., is the hardest worker in the place. Overall, good place to party!

MY REVIEW: Bad Service, Bad Food, Bad Place - We waited 15 minutes for a glass of tea, 40 minutes for two salads (and one of them was wrong when they delivered it). The waiter in our area of the restaurant was totally confused - He had to return to several tables to ask what they had ordered, and several orders were filled incorrectly. Several diners around us were given the wrong tabs. When we received our tab, it had several extras on it that we had not ordered.

We will stick to hot dogs next time.
