Hot Shot Wok

MY REVIEW: I don't know many places that deliver to the Medical Center, so I was very pleased to find this place. I have tried a handful of dishes and I recommend staying away from beef dishes. I found the beef to be overly tender, and "mushy". Everything else on the menu is very good. I really like the orange chicken, barbeque pork ( hold the sauce ) and wanton soup. Not too pricey and the take out packaging is very nice. try them and you will be hooked!

MY REVIEW: YOu cant tell from teh outside but this is a great chinese resturant! If you like overly greasy food, go anywhere where but here- this place delievers top quality food, nice portions, delicious, good price, and great service! I will be going back! Hope you try them a try.

MY REVIEW: Really excellent Chinese takeout food. They are from Guanzhou in China which is famous for food. We have been impressed. The servings are pretty large and service is friendly. Best in Houston.

MY REVIEW: Some of the best take out Chinese in Houston. Not overly greasy and they use very high quality chicken in their dishes. Tons of leftovers every time and they have great prices. Try the cashew chicken or the General Tso's and you won't be disappointed!

MY REVIEW: This hidden, hole-in-the-wall restaurant is amazing. I simply adore this place. They only serve white meat and the portions are huge. This is NOT a sit down restaurant, but if you want take-out Chinese, this is the place for you.

MY REVIEW: This place is convenient. Their house wonton soup is terrific and the people are always friendly. One drawback: the very nice lady who owns it lets her little kids take phone orders. So speak slowly and expect the phone call to last up to 10 minutes.

MY REVIEW: I've been three times now in the last month on the strengths of the reviews here. I'm no way as as anamored as some of the other posters with Hot Shot. I see them advertising burgers and gyros on their old sign but I can't find them on any of the menus they have out.

First I ordered the General Tso's Chicken $4.95 w/Egg Roll, Soup, and Fried Rice. Great price and not bad G.T. but the quanity of chicken was very small. Their fried rice really tastes like white rice w/ soy sauce dumped on it and is very bland. All the soups come off a bit bland to me also.

The second time I went I ordered the Orange Beef $9.25 w/ soup and fried rice. The Orange beef was excelent the quanity was pretty fair for the price.

The last time I went I tried the Orange Chicken $7.50 w/ soup and fried rice. The sauce was fantastic just like the Orange Beef but the batter was way too thick (far thicker than the General Tso's.)

I think I'll try some of the other similar places around the area before I come back to Hot Shot to get the Orange Beef again.

MY REVIEW: This is a nice, convenient place with a wide variety of foods, not just Chinese. I've had lo mein, szechuan, gyros, burgers, and other varieties of food. The lo mein is to die for, as it's loaded with thick, rich, savory sauce. They have some great combo menus at reasonable prices too, and also make deliveries. This place is great for a poor college student like me.

MY REVIEW: The best kept secret in Houston that needs to be told. Always, A+ service, food and delivery. They go the extra mile to make sure that your meal is perfect and the delivery people are fast and courteous. I recommend the fried shrimp. Yum!

MY REVIEW: I have never gone to the restaurant, I always get delivery, and the food is almost always delicious with huge quantities and very prompt service. The people who work there are some of the friendliest that I have met in the service industry in Houston. I highly recommend Hot Shot Wok for good food fast and cheap.

MY REVIEW: The Hot Shot Wok is a fast, convenient place to grab dinner. The couple that runs it are the nicest people and the food is reasonable. The inside only has two or three tables, but the pickup is always speedy. The menu includes american and other options for the picky eaters in your group that don't want chinese.
