MY REVIEW: I stopped by Antonini’s for the first time today, and got the large cheesesteak sandwich (no catsup, added mushrooms). $11, including tax. What a marvelous and creation! Stuffed with beef, provolone, grilled onions, and mushrooms, dressed with mayo and topped with chopped cherry peppers, it was beefy, juicy, cheesy, sweet and spicy at the same time. I once lived in Chicago and I’ve spent a lot of time in Philadelphia, and I found this to be an interesting hybrid: kind of what the offspring would be if a Chicago Italian beef married a Philly cheesesteak. To the negative posters who ridicule it because it’s not an “authentic” Philly cheesesteak: It’s not. They make no claims to be. The menu board reads, simply, “cheesesteak.” Appreciate it for what it is: a mighty fine sandwich, one of the best I’ve had anywhere. I may even try it with the catsup some day when I’m feeling bold (up to this point, I’ve only had catsup on meatloaf sandwiches and, occasionally, French fries.

MY REVIEW: I submitted a review 1-25-11 saying I probably should've ordered the Philly steak. And I hoped the bread would be better. Well, I did and it wasn't.
Last time I was not impressed with the Italian sausage, nor the roll. This time the cheese steak proved to be the way to go. The meat was good quality, tender, cooked perfectly and they piled plenty of it on my 6 inch (small) sub. Only problem is, I still think the roll does not do justice to this sub. Like last time, it was baked too long rendering the bread dark and tough.
I ordered my Philly without that over-powering pepper relish, and, of course NO ketshup. This would have been an awesome sub if the bread were better.

MY REVIEW: Love this place, kinda hard to find if you don't know extacly where it is at. But well worth finding. Their Subs are delicious, i am espeically fond of their steak and cheese (PHILLY). My wife and both kids and brother-in law all have great reviews for this place. There small subs typically fill me up but if you have a man size hunger their 1-ft longs will do the job. Their prices are little high but the quality is well worth it. The owner and his son run this place, i haven't met the owner but the son Jared does a great job. It is a little small if you want to stay there and eat, but if you get it to go you will not miss any of the good flavor. I have been passing this review to all my friends and I suggest you do the same. ( the place is located at Medical Center and Hwy 3{old galveston rd}, there is a Valero on the corner and it is located in the shopping center behind it, it says SUBS on the sign as you pull in)

MY REVIEW: Price is Right food is a Delight
Best Cheesesteak south of Philly. I always order without peppers and with lettuce and tomato. Owner and I reminisce about D*elassandro's in Philly and W*hite House in Atlantic City. He has W*hite House Menu on his counter. I eat half there and take home other half. 1 and 1/2 minutes in the Nuker and aint to bad. Rumor has it that he sells other sandwiches. Please disregard and get the Best Cheesesteak south of Philly.
I'm a San Marcos Texan and spent years up East chasing the Yankee dollar. I miss the Jersey Delis and Diners but God has reunited me with the worlds best food. Texas Barbecue!!!!

MY REVIEW: Owner really needs to chill out. Asked me what I wanted. Not can I help you etc. He then sighed as if bothered. Never coming back. I support small businesses but if it is a bother to attend a customer see you later bud.

MY REVIEW: I guess I ordered the wrong thing when I decided on Italian sausage with peppers & onions. Sounded good on this cold, damp day. Judging from reviews, maybe I should've gone with the Philly because I wasn't impressed with the Italian sausage sub. Sausage was poor quality. Roll had been baked way too long, too dry. And pepper relish was overpowering (must be an acquired taste---just not for this southern boy).
If I return, I'll try the Philly steak and hold the relish (yuk, did someone mention catsup?). And hope the bread is better next time.

MY REVIEW: Probably the best sandwich in the Greater Houston area. Have been buying sandwich's here for a few years now. I live in the Katy area, my wife is a Yankee(New Jersey)and gets angry when I'm south of Houston and don't bring her a Sandwich from Antoninis (says, "you southerners cannot make a sandwich" LOL). Also am a fan of the atmosphere! It's straight-forward about the SANDWICH!! no fluff, just great food!

MY REVIEW: A great sandwich at a great price. Very small and hidden restaurant. The sandwiches are very filling. Heavy on the main components such as the meats and cheeses with the additions such as lettuce, tomatoes, and onions as compliments unlike many other sandwich restaurants. A very balanced sandwich with my favorites being the tuna, Italian, and Philly.
The restaurant is a hole in the wall with the tables and seating resembling something out of an office break room but everything is kept clean so its not bothering to me. I have only seen two people working there an older gentleman I believe to be the owner and a younger guy. The "old man" can be grumpy at times and seem a little rough especially if you start getting picky about how you want your sandwich. I've never seen him be rude though. The young guy is always nice and doesn't mind making the sandwich however you like.
Overall I really like this place and the lunch crowd prove many others do too. I give it a 7 out of 10.

MY REVIEW: Everything here is a higher quality than what one normally expect for a sandwich shop. This is the best steak and cheese I have ever had. While I must say the pepper/relish is something really different, but I have found this really does separate this sub shop from every other place. Roast beef, meatball all of them are great, but I can't pick between the steak and cheese or the Italian regular.....I love this place!!

MY REVIEW: I have lived in the area all my life and never stopped at this place. You would miss tucked back in the shopping center with only a SUBS sign to let you know where it is. I was there early and the owner was weighing and prepping everything fresh. If you are looking for atmosphere forget it here, but I did not care I was on the hunt for a cheesesteak. I had read the reviews so I knew they were a little different here. The sandwich was loaded with meat and a 2 hander. i must say I did not care for the ketchup or pepper relish. I thought the over all tase was so so. I might like it better without those 2 condiments, but I think it might be a while before I return.

MY REVIEW: Antonini's is my FAVORITE steak and cheese spot. There is a variety of items on his menu, but I swear I have been going there for over a year and half now and I can't get past my steak sandwich to try anything else! (I had a bite of the italian sub and it is good, but I just can't do it yet). I have gotten so many other people to check this place out and now it is many others favorite spot as well. They also have the homemade meatball sub, the italian...you just gotta go check it out. The owners name is Mike...as far as the condiments on the steak sub, you should ask how it comes and modify the order to your liking. The steak and cheese comes with ketchup, mayo, provolone, chopped steak, grilled onions and a semi spicy/tangy pepper mixture....I get mine with no onions and no ketchup. The place it self is not much to look at but it is a local hangout for many....

MY REVIEW: I'm always reluctant to post a negative review that conflicts with everyone else, but here goes . . .
I wanted a Philly Cheesesteak and they had one, so I tried them.
They were unfriendly and the meat in the sandwich was rubbery and loaded with gristle. The garnish was tasty, but I didn't order a garnish sandwich. After eating about a third, I put the rest down the disposal.
It was takeout, so the lack of atmosphere mentioned elsewhere meant nothing to me, however if I were eating there the blaring radio would have been annoying.

MY REVIEW: I have to agree with the previous reviews the pepper/relish really separates these subs from other places. Also, with the cheese steak, the bread and the cheese are a higher quality than other cheese steaks I have had.
Cons: I was going to say this place lacks in atmosphere, but even the sport talk show always on the radio, the reading material and posters give this place some character.

MY REVIEW: I highly recommend Antoninis! I've lived in Clear Lake for 10 years and have eaten at almost every restaurant and had always seen Antoninis but never been there. After a friend recommended it I finally decided to try it - My husband and I went for lunch on a weekday and we were highly impressed. The subs were awesome! I would say probably the best subs in Clear Lake. My husband had the sausage and peppers sub and I had a turkey sub and they were both awesome. You will not be disappointed!

MY REVIEW: I've never had a cheesesteak anywhere that came close to being as good as Antonini's. The combination of pepper/relish, cheese, steak, mayo and ketchup makes for a juicy, messy, fantastic sandwich. I'm not a big fan of ketchup but it really works on this sandwich, so order it as it comes. I highly recomend this place.
