We all loved it. My husband and I try to come at least once a week for dinner, but sometimes we fit in a lunch too. The waitstaff and owners are a real pleasure to see and visit with on each occasion. The food is great. Large portions, always more that you should eat, but it tastes so good. It is by far our favorite place to dine for several reasons. First and foremost is that the food is consistently of high quality. We have tried most of their menu items over the years they have been in business and have never been disappointed. Never! Second, their service is so cordial and comfortable, we've actually gone there after a long, hard day and come out renewed and refreshed as a result of the soothing atmosphere. W e have hosted large gatherings of family and friends at Pearl Dynasty and could not have been more pleased with both the food and service our party received. Lastly, I have actually been in their kitchen and found it to be so clean it was almost hard to believe it was being used for cooking! It was impeccable. Food is excellent, Service is fast and staff is friendly and helpful. We've had their take-out as well as eating in and both experiences were excellent. The take-out was fast and as delicious as if we would've stayed to eat there. The only thing we have to complain about is that they allow smoking in the restaurant. While dining in, at the end of our delicious meal, a couple came in and sat at a table that was close enough to smell the smoke when the man lit up. We had our 11 month old with us, who we try to keep away from smoke at all times, so we ended up skipping the dessert and leaving. It wasn't the restaurant's fault that we left but rather the man who decided to smoke in there. We understand that there isn't a ban on smoking so we just left, though we wish there was a ban. Food is always hot, fresh ingredients, freshly prepared and well sesonsed. I've had the General Tso Chicken, Lemond Chicken, Shrimp w/ Garlic sause and loved it all. The fried rice is exceptional tasting & texture even if a bit greasy. The rice separates easily and is fluffly (I absolutely hate rice that is sticky). The fried egg rolls are very greasy (I blot them) but tasty and very crispy (this is key to a good egg roll to me). The decor shocked me the first time I went there. Since it is housed in a strip center, I expected the inside to be basic. The place has a warm feel, is very nicely decorated and has "atmosphere." Great for a date or family dinner. Even still, I live so close that I always pick up. I highly recommend this restaurant. I ordered the Shrimp in Lobster Sauce and it was quite bland. It was made with fresh veggies and seafood, but the sauce was weak. My eggrolls were literally swimming in a puddle of oil on the plate, but tasted pretty good once the oil drained out. My wife had the Gen Tsao Chicken and it was very good- Fresh tender chicken, crisp batter and tasty sauce. I also like the fried rice and the pork dumpligs. The few experiences we had eating dinner there was not worth what we paid for our meal..For one thing the steamed rice was hard..and when I ordered a large hot & sour soup..I ended up with a bowl about the size of a one serving size at other restaurants I've frequented..and if you want extra steamed rice they charge you..unlike other restaurants I've visited..the Won Ton soup was very bland and cold...about the only decent dish we ordered was the mu shu pork..but for what we paid we could have had a feast at Bellaire's Chinatown! I think the owners felt since they were opening up a restaurant with a bit of atmosphere they could charge outrageous prices for dinky bowls of soup and charge you for rice..well..I go more for the food and less for the atmosphere..
