MY REVIEW: This store is great! They have tons of candy that you never see and from all corners of the world. I will definitely be going back for stocking stuffers. They also have these little mint tins that have lots of different funny sayings which will make great little gifts. The man working there was very help and when I asked about a particular type of gum he knew exactly where it was!

MY REVIEW: Wow! I visited Candylicious with my sister while on a desperate hunt for rock candy to use on the groom's cake for my niece's wedding. I can't wait to go back! I was absolutely stunned at the selection of candy and novelty items. I was even thrilled to find some of my favorite candy from the U.K.! The guy who waited on us was very friendly - he seemed like the type to remember his customer's names. I highly recommend Candylicious and plan to get candy for my son's birthday party favor bags there!

MY REVIEW: This was my first visit to Candylicious. This store is great! They have everything. There are so many types of candy-even chocolate covered insects! They also have great, fun stocking stuffers. I definately recommend this candy store. It's the best!

MY REVIEW: I think that candylicious is one of the better candy stores in houston. The candies are very up to par with my standards. They have some neat valuables there. It contains very creative candy that I wouldn't have thought of ever seeing candy like it. If you have kids i suggest you take them there. Also, if your a chocolate lover like I am, then go next door to The C*hocolate Bar. The icecrams are superb there.

MY REVIEW: Nice place to pick up special candy items, not only for kids! I got some fun gum packs for a dinner party and used them as placecards. Service was OK, what can you expect from teenagers? As a special treat, go next door to the Chocolate Bar...now THAT'S an experience!

MY REVIEW: Candylicious is a candy store and if you need bulk suck it up and go to Sams. Candylicious specializes in candy, not giving customers a bargain. There will be things that are expensive and there will be things that are reasonable. Candylicious is ideal during holidays and has many good gift ideas. Halloween is near and they always have a superior selection. I know the guys and they are very down to earth though there is one kid. The shop came into existence after watching several episodes of food finds on the food network and that is how so much of the old hard-to-find candy in the shop got there. They are open minded and will most likely listen to you if you have any suggestions candy and what not. If you believe Candylicious is expensive then don't even contemplate D*ylan's Candy Bar who in my opinion should at least have more vivid colors and appealing decorations if they are going to charge more than Candylicious.

MY REVIEW: As far as the candy side went (not counting the Chocolate Bar on the other side) I didn't think there was much of an appealing selection of fresh goodies-- tons of prepackaged gift giving items, though. A little over-priced, too. Also, service was not up to par- young guy behing the counter was very unfriendly and did not smile once, even after being repeatedly thanked and smiledat. I definitely wouldn't drive all the way back there for the candy or service.

MY REVIEW: Great expansion and the best home-made ice cream i've sampled in Houston (and i sample PLENTY). You have to taste the "Totally Nuts"...like your favorite nuts bound together by the best chocolate ice cream...a slightly liquified Caramel Turtle experience, cool to the tongue, but warming your soul. You have to see the delightfully different birthday or special occasion cakes made out of wrapped candy...it's like Kingdom of the Sweets the way you remember it from being dragged to the Nutcracker ballet as a kid. As to service, it has always been the best there for me. Special orders, tracing down a particular product, finding things in bulk when i needed them, hearing my concept and researching appropriate sources...the male staff and female staff all helpful and welcoming. A visit inspires more creative gift-giving...what transplanted Texan wouldn't enjoy some chocolate (or white chocolate, or mixed chocolate) cowboy boots? i took my mom there on her one visit to Houston because as a kid she'd find candy stores for us to visit together, and it made her literally wipe away tears of nostalgia. Does all this cost a bit more? is the parking sometimes a struggle? yes. Is is worth it? yes yes yes. After all, if you're about cost and convenience, why go to a boutique store at all? K*roger, E*cdkerd's and R*andall's have candy aisles right next to your ATM, photo counter, and pharmacy. Going to Chocolate Bar/Candylicious should be like a pilgrimage. By all means, GO DECIDE FOR YOURSELF. You'll thank me later...

MY REVIEW: I've been going to the Chocolate Bar and, now, Candylicious, for years and have never once been treated to anything but superior customer service by fellow sweet tooths. I can't imagine the place these other people said they visited. Sure, during peak holiday season, the wait for individual service items is a bit longer, but my god is it worth the short wait.

MY REVIEW: I was reading the other review about the service at this place and was expecting to be treated poorly. To say the least talk about friendly and pure down home Houston. You would have thought I was the President...I was treated so graciously and nice. There is no attitude here at this place. Talk about a fun store, my goodness this place has everything from my childhood. I bought candy that I thought I would never see again! The overall atmosphere of this store is FUN, FUN, FUN!
Maybe the other reviewer is not in touch with his inner child? I have been back many, many times and it's always the same... friendly and nice.
This is the place to go for CANDY! Plus they are next to The Chocolate Bar talk about finding heaven these two places are the deal!

MY REVIEW: Strong points - great selection Weak points - staff not very friendly, overpriced and expensive, poor location.
I will only go back if I'm looking for a particular candy I can't find anywhere else. I found the male staff had a bit of an attitude I did not care for.

MY REVIEW: Oh wow. Been back since the new dessert/cake wing? No? You haven't LIVED. They've been busy... doubling the size of the old store, populating the space with comfy stools, cozy non-precarious tables, doubling the adored icecream counter and adding a boschian exploration of desserts... (heaven, hell, and many things in between) was inspired. It's interestingly retro, with charming lighting playing off the trademark purple walls, and now cleverly offers a refreshing array of liquids to chase down your decadent dessert choice. Only new must-have not already apparent, a slightly larger selection of coffees, and actual cream vs ersatz. Thankyou chocolate deities!

MY REVIEW: Surprisingly, considering what a sweet tooth I have, I didn't like this place and didn't find anything that looked good to buy. For one thing, nothing is sold in bulk, so if you do happen to find something you like, you can only buy it in its smallest packaging, which is expensive and irritating. Another negative thing is that most of the candy is of a common variety -- they're easy to find elsewhere. Also, the store is so tiny I became claustrophic very fast and left after five minutes. And considering the impossible parking problems, I won't be going back to investigate further.

MY REVIEW: I am a fan of The Chocolate Bar, so naturally I thought I would like Candylicious. Wrong....I love Candylicious! As a child I was a total fan of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. This was better than the movie. Get ready, because I walked around the store just getting giddy over the old time favorites! First of all, the bright colors that you would assume would be overwhelming were succinct in a playful coordination of colors. I was delighted by the creative displays that invite you to investigate each piece of candy. Not only that, but they have candy selections from all over the world. It almost seems like one could gain detailed knowledge of World Candy History and the time line of events.
As I walked by Big League chew I reminisced over a fight my brother and I had over the package, and as I walked past the Old Fashion Taffy I remembered my Saturday summers at Galveston's Sarsaparilla. It did not have the self playing piano, but this store contains great edible memorabilia that will delight your funny bones as well as tickle your tummy.
If you are a creative person or want to know what creativity is suppose to look like, it is a must see!
