MY REVIEW: GREAT COFFEE AND WONDERFUL SERVICE FROM AN INDEPENDENT MINORITY BUSINESS OWNER!!! It is wonderful to share in Tina's success - her place is convenient, quiet, comfortable, reasonably priced and perfect for studying or visiting. The goodies from W*hole Foods are great and the catered salads, sandwiches and wraps make inexpensive and tasty lunches. For non-coffee lovers, she has Tazo tea, chai lattes and fruit smoothies. This is not only a great coffee shop but a wonderful neighborhood place worth supporting.

MY REVIEW: Great place to study. The music is good but low enough to concentrate on my work. I've been there when every table was full and it was very quiet because everyone was studying. The coffee is pretty good... although Splenda would be a nice addition for sugar substitutes (just my preference). I like the under-decorated atmosphere also and the willingness to display and sell work from local artists. This place will be wayyy crowded once UH students get their heads out of the arses and figure out it's there.

Only complaint... the hours. They need to open earlier and stay open later on weekends and stay open later on Thursdays and Fridays. Oh... and with the great space, there should be live music on Thurs, Fri, and/or Sat evenings.

MY REVIEW: The coffee house has a beautiful, earthy feel to it with a relaxed atmosphere! I was quite impressed with the simple and elegant decor as well as with the friendliness of Grabba Java's owner Tina.

MY REVIEW: GREAT GREAT GREAT coffee!!! Superb lattes & other assorted coffee drinks in addition to perhaps the best assortment of house coffees found anywhere in Houston. Owner Tina is very friendly, and great service from all staff, cool decor and nice comfy & cozy lounge area with TV. Great spacious place for studying (good light, comfortable furniture, not smoky, not too much noise, etc.) or for just hanging out with friends.

MY REVIEW: The coffee is great, the owner Tina is friendly and knowledgable and the internet access is great. Tina very openly discusses that she cut back on appearances so she could afford the best coffee and coffee machines and still keep the price lower than St*rbucks. I can do without the decor for that exchange! Thanks for a great alternative to busy crowded chains!

MY REVIEW: Strong Points - high speed wireless internet access (need your own wireless card, ssid: gjc), friendly staff, good music playing in background, has a t.v. in back with movie selection

Weak Points - need more comfortable chairs - only one couch and a few comfy chairs...could use slight more decoration and different lighting....
