MY REVIEW: We have been eating here since 1994 almost once a week. The food is consistently great. No MSG, fresh taste and a wonderful staff. I am always happy bringing friends and family to Chef Chan's knowing that they will always please. If you are in the Woodlands, give them a try. You'll come back. My biggest problem is I keep finding new favorite dishes!

MY REVIEW: They have a plethora of lunch specials and the food is always good and reasonably priced. In addition, they were able to provide a "special" cooked meal with no problem for my guest who had a dietary restriction.

MY REVIEW: We love the Special Steamed Dumplings. We usually opt for Shredded Chicken with Garlic or General Chan's Chicken, throwing in some Sesame Chicken for diversion on occasion. It's nice to be able to just go enjoy a nice meal without the buffet hassle and know the quality will be right on. We come as a extended family of six plus or just a couple and the service is great. Keep up the good job and we'll see you soon!

MY REVIEW: The sliced beef and broccoli is to die for. Did not really care for the egg rolls. Barbeque ribs were okay too. Really like the beef and broccoli. Meat was very moist and tender.

MY REVIEW: I have been coming to Chef Chan's for about 4 yrs now. I love this place! My husband is very picking when it comes to this kind of food and, now I can't keep him away!! I disagree with every bad thing anybody says about this place. I have never had problems with food or their service. I will continue to keep coming here over and over again. Definetly not B*ejing/W*oodlands House, Gross!!!!

MY REVIEW: I have been eating there since about 1984. The strong points are by far the relaxing atmosphere. Ming always comes to our table to say hello and we are treated like family. Sesame shrimp is my favorite but tonight, I tried the Chef Chan's beef for the first time. I did not realize that was orange beef. The dish was a treat! My favorite appetizer though is the Shrimp Soong. The sauce that goes on the the Shrimp Soong makes the appetizer that much more OUT OF THIS WORLD. Cannot end this review without mentioning their hot sauce. The sauce is one of kind and also a delight.

MY REVIEW: I've been eating at Chan's since it opened. The decor was new in the late 70's. I have to admit that "take out" is much better. I recommend the string beans w/ pork, house special fried rice, and orange chicken (spicy or not spicy).

MY REVIEW: I have been eating at Chef Chan's since 1982. The food is outstanding! The food is always fresh and the seasonings perfect no matter what dish you perfer. The portions are generous and I am a big man who never leaves hungry. The atmosphere is wonderful. No noise or rude people here... a great place for a romantic dinner for two. The lack of turnover of waitstaff is refreshing as you see the same faces everytime and they are always glad to see you. A nice bonus is NO buffet nonsense but wonderful fresh prepared lunch specials in the $4 to $5 range. A well kept secret of those in the Kuykendahl/1960 area.

MY REVIEW: I'm lucky enough to be friends with a guy whos parents/grandparents own this establishment. I've known about this rare gem for over 10 years, and can honestly say that I am truly addicted to the Chef Chan Beef and the curry fried wontons. You can not be prepared for the Jawesome power of this cuisine.

MY REVIEW: This restaurant is by far the best Chinese food around. MUCH better than PF C*hang's. I try the Orange Chicken at every Chinese restaurant that I've never been to, and am always extremely disappointed! If you are looking for the BEST Orange Chicken around, you have to try Chef Chan's, and ask for the "hot red pepper oil". I am always willing to try something new, but always say "why did I bother". The Woodlands location is just as good. Also, if you're a fan of Mu Shui pork, you have to try Chef Chan's, WAY BETTER than PF C*hang's!

MY REVIEW: This was our first visit to Chef Chan's Restaurant. We are new to the 1960 area. When we arrived at the restaurant, we wondered if we had made a mistake, but hoped that the cars outside weren't just the employees. The restaurant was bright and very quiet (we were the only customers). The decor needs to be updated (seventies meets neon), but the captains chairs were comfortable. We ordered the spring rolls, which were very crispy, but did not taste authentic. They had a "fresh out of the freezer and provided by La Choy" taste. For the main course we tried the Pork Fried Rice, which was tasty, the Sesame Chicken, which had a good flavor, but was dry, and the Garlic Beef. I am not sure if I have the name correct for the third entree, but it was good. None of the dishes were outstanding or mind blowing. The meat dishes didn't have enough sauce and there was only a tiny bowl of white rice served to share with both dishes. And, oddly enough, there were no chopsticks on the table or offered. There was no buffet, which was good, but the food just was not good enough for the price. Our search for good Asian cuisine will continue.

MY REVIEW: We are mostly home delivery customers, only getting to the resaurant infrequently. We love the food, the consistent quality, and the moderate prices. I'd list week points but I can't think of any.

MY REVIEW: This is absolutely the best Chinese Food around. Our family is addicted to the food. The restaurant is really nice, clean, and the waitstaff is very attentive. Every time we order food in, or take out it is always the same and always good. We have never had a bad experience eating there. We visited P.F.C*hangs and weren't that impressed. Everyone had hyped it up. It was okay. But Chef Chans is cozy, out of the crowded area of the Woodlands and the food is delicious!

MY REVIEW: Since I used to live around the corner I nearly always ordered take out. One of the nice things of Chef Chans is the lack of a buffet. I've tried many things there but, without a doubt, my favorite was the moo shu pork. Simply the best I have had anywhere.

The other dishes were well prepared and the sauces were delicious and just the right thickness. They make excellent fried rice that they would prepare spicy at my request. My only complaint is an odd one. They would generally have too much meat and not enough vegetables. Though the phrase, "too many shrimp", is almost as bad a swearing, especially considering the tender monsters they put in the dishes, I would have liked to have seen more veggies.

Overall, it was my favorite Chinese restaurant due it's convenience and dependable quality. I was sorry to be moving too far away to partake regularily.

I am glad I saw this review, I didn't know there was another Chan's near my new home just outside The Woodlands. I will be trying it out soon. :)

MY REVIEW: This is a neat Chinese restaurant because it has the look, feel and smell of China. The staff is warm, friendly and has an excellent memory. They always remember our favorite comfort-food dishes.

The staff is also willing to accomodate requests for dishes and spices not on the menu or from a particular locale in China. It is a good place to go to forget that one is not in China.
