MY REVIEW: I don't go here for the service...its hit and miss at best. This is one area they need to improve on.

The burgers...worth the trip. When I'm hungry for a good burger, I call 9ers. They have biffed my burger twice even with having them to repeat the order back to me on the phone (NO raw onions, only very grilled onions) but the burgers still rule. The salads are huge and tasty. Only ate them twice, usually just get my burger fix there.

Yeah, I'll be back.

MY REVIEW: Delicious food! Big proportions, they're not greedy. So you get what you pay for and then some. The atmosphere, better than the cluttered F*UDDRUCKER'S, and most likely an Astros game on their 2 big screens. Two you ask? Well this place is not too small but perfect for the family or if you want a smaller place to take a date. I will be returning, it's just down the street!

MY REVIEW: I have eaten inide about 3 times and have ordered meals to pick up many times but will not again because the last three times I have picked up my orders and gotten home with them they were wrong. The food is like that of any other fast food place. It is just fast and easy. But yesterday was my last time.

MY REVIEW: Great food. I had the cheesburger with onion rings. Cooked just the way I ordered it-medium rare. My wife had the loaded baked potato. She said it was great. We go there at lease once a month. The food is always good.

MY REVIEW: I do not know what these other two people are talking about. When I went I had the Blue Island Burger, it was delicious. I have also had the Loaded Baked Spud which was amply stuffed. The fried mushrooms are incredible every time. The women who previously complained must just feel like complaining. For the person who had the chicken fried chicken sandwich, do you even know how big 1/8" really is, I mean were you just throwing a number out there for kicks, thats stupid to say it's 1/8" thick. And to your wife who had the salad, the bacon is good crispy so get over it and every piece of food has grease on it so stop crying.

Back to the lady who got there "around" 9, do you and your "friend" know how to read? There hours are posted RIGHT next to the door THEY CLOSE AT 9 so i imagine getting there right before 9 must have really made them mad. You should have never walked through the door that close to closing. I find that the people who work there are very nice and very hard working and would not appreciate people who walk in so close to when they are about to close, I surely would not. The people in the back try there best to get all of the food ready in an orderly fashion and I would never think of them as f...ing foreigners as you might have.

i recommend 9er's to anyone looking for great food.

MY REVIEW: I will never recommend this location to anyone. I will never go to this location ever again. I had the worst...most surprising...restaurant experience ever!

A friend and I arrived shortly before 9 PM. There were people eating at a couple of tables when we got there. The guy working the counter had absolutely no personality...zero! He did not greet us and, instead, waited for us to speak up first. I asked if I could have something other than fries with my burger. One of the options was tater tots. I opted for that and so did my friend. It took a long time for our food to come out. We were beginning to wonder if maybe the guy had not submitted the order. Finally our food arrived and we both had fries instead of tater tots. We brought it to his attention. He turned around and walked away. No "Sorry"...whatever. My friend's hamburger order was incorrect. He went up to the counter to get it fixed. The guy who took our order stood there with a blank look on his face. An older man was with him. This man told us he was packing up our food "to go" because we were rude. What? Rude???? Because the kid got the order wrong and we brought it to his attention??? The kid stood there and said he never heard me ask for tater tots. We're talking potatoes here...literally!!! Geez, can you just fix the order....it's not that big a deal. The older guy went on to say we were rude because we came in after they were closed. Again...WHAT????? It was before 9 PM...there were people there...the door was unlocked...but more importantly....the guy who took our order said absolutely NOTHING about the shop being closed. If they were closed, why did he take the order? We left and will never go back.

I have been to this location approximately 6 times. This is the second time I have had a bad experience with their staff. I'm not going to go back for a third.

MY REVIEW: Wife and I decided to head out and grab a sandwich last night and since we hadn't been to 9ers in a while, thought it would be a good place to go. When we pulled up at about 6:00, there were only a couple of tables that had anyone eating. No big deal, we went in. The minute we walked throught the door, the pungeant order of old grease was so thick in the air that we almost walked out. We approached the counter where two employees just stood there looking at us like we were imposing on their break time. Strike two.

My wife ordered a grilled chicken salad and I ordered a chicken fried chicken sandwich with fries. When the food was brought out, there was no dressing for the salad so my wife went back to the counter where she received a package of fast food type restaurant style dressing and it was weak at best. The pieces of chicken looked like they had been fried in a pan and was quite greasy. On top of the salad were old tomatos and greasy dark bacon pieces. My wife ate about 3 bites of her salad and threw the rest away.

My sandwich looked like it had been cooked in old grease (should have known with the smell). I cut the sandwich in half and I kid you not, the chicken couldn't have been much more than 1/8" thick. There was more breading than chicken. I ate nearly half and pitched mine. Two french fries were all I could take. $20.00 worth of food in the trash. Not to mention the iced tea was nothing more than colored water.

I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to restaurants but this place should be on Kitchen Nightmares. Worst food in Katy in my opinion. Do yourself a favor, go to a fast food joint.

MY REVIEW: Local, so we do it occasionally. The burgers there are good, hand-made patties and both them and the other items on the menus have always been good. Very good fries, chunky and hold catsup well. Chili-burger is good - messy - and a bit too light on the chili part. Just enough to make it difficult to eat witout using a knife and fork (too sloppy to pick up). Drinks are easy to refill and food is quick. Malts/shakes are excellent and thick. Counter staff is always friendly. Kind of an old burger joint atmosphere. Good food, reasonable.

MY REVIEW: Took my wife out for lunch and we decided to try 9'ers. I heard about this place at work and saw the size of the burgers, this peeked my appetite to say the least. We got there early about 11:15am before the lunch rush. We both ordered the lunch special of cheese burger, fries and a drink for $5.99 ea.

Even though the girl at the counter only spoke a little english the order was quick and correct. We both enjoyed the meaty burgers and the hot fries. Comparing 9'ers to one of the fast food places which charge about the same, it was one of the best burgers around. We will definetly be back. One warning is that this burger is not for light weights, this is a real 9oz burger that will fill the tank!!

MY REVIEW: We order from 9'ners pretty regularly. We flip a coin to decide burger or chicken. The sandwich lunch special is the best deal in town $5 +tax, and you will get stuffed. The only gripe is that they keep hiking up the minimum amount for them to deliver to us here at work, we are only about a mile and a half away. So we said "screw that", and we go pick it up. They almost lost our business over it, but the food is worth having to go get it.

MY REVIEW: This was my first visit to any 9er's and the grilled chicken sandwich was pretty good. I don't usually fret over the price when eating out, but there were two small irritations that I consider unnecessary. First they charged an extra 50 cents to "upgrade" from fries to potato chips on the combo. Then, to substitute another low-fat dressing for mayo on the sandwich was another extra .50 cents. Plus they don't offer a small salad - only a large one. So I would say the restaurant is definitely not Weight-Watcher friendly, to say the least. At least as long as I'm trying to eat healthy, I won't be back to 9er's.

MY REVIEW: i HAVE BEEN COMING TO THIS PLACE SINCE THE MID 1960'S WHEN IT WAS CALLED DER W*EINERSCHNITZEL'S. THEIR BEST ITEM IS THE CHILI CHEESEDOG. I'VE EATEN THESE TYPE OF HOTDOGS ALL OVER, AND THESE ARE BY FAR THE BEST. I READ THE REVIEW ABOUT THE FRIES AND I HAVE TO DISAGREE. MY WIFE AND THREE SONS ALL THINK THEY ARE GREAT.

MY REVIEW: The Hamburgers tasted like meat loaf sandwichs, as if they the patty was cooked in the morning and then kept in a oven for hours until ordered. I suspect this is tha case as they wer not very good. The French fies had some kind of coating or film on them and did not taste like fresh cut frys. The Iced tea was stale at best with no lemon offered.

MY REVIEW: Tried the grilled chicken for the first time. We have eaten burgers there many times in the past (the name comes from their trademark 9 oz burger patty). Obviously we like their burgers or "many times" would not have been in the previous sentence.

The grilled chicken sandwich on the other hand was somewhat of a disappointment. First the chicken itself was small; very thin. For the price there and many area restuarants with a more substantial chicken breast for the price. Second the buns were very "plain" in my opinion.

A good place for a burger diversion, but not the place for grilled chicken.
