MY REVIEW: This is an awesome little place that I've been going to since I was a kid (almost 30 years now!), great lunch plates and usually everyone is very nice. Sometimes service is a little slow, but if you get someone's attention they come right away. Not only is the restaurant part nice, but the store has lots of neat imports including great olive oil, teas, AMAZING fresh pitas, humus and babaganoush, as well as an olive bar and lots of great feta cheeses that you probably didn't know existed. Also, for any of their cheeses and olives you can ask for a sample to be sure you will like it before you buy. Check it out!

MY REVIEW: This place is a Houston classic. Zagat rated too. Great food, period. A must for all Houston Foodies. With all the cookie-cutter places out there, it's nice to see an owner behind the counter. Excellent sandwiches and sides. The best lamb shank in the city. The prices are great - such a bargain. You can buy a package of fresh pita to take home on the way out.
