MY REVIEW: I come here a lot with friends and my family. It's one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants.
I think the Spring Rolls are the best in town. They are full of fresh herbs and are always fresh. Vietnamese Eggrolls are also a must have. I haven't had a bad bowl of soup there and if you go during lunch, you'll get a free bowl with your meal. I prefer the Pho or Mi soup.
You can't go wrong with the Bun (Vermicelli with fresh herbs, veggies, and your choice of meats/tofu) or the Com Tam (a rice version of Bun). They are both always good.
Usually, I order the above, but I can highly recommend the following: the BBQ Pork, House Special Whole Chicken, and Grilled/Steamed Fish.
If you go from 3-7, they have half off appetizers.
Go, you'll love it!

MY REVIEW: Literally, everyone here knows my name. I cannot praise the staff or the food highly enough. My mother and I visit at least twice a week, I've tried almost everything on the menu and without exception, I've been blown away by the consistently outstanding quality of their food. I cannot believe this place isn't packed every day, all day.
The Pho is the best I've ever had in Houston (pretty much anywhere, now that I think about it), as well as the Bun and grilled dishes. I've become addicted to the Bo Luc Lac (heavenly, melt in your mouth chunks of grilled filet mignon) and can't believe they don't charge more for this dish. Their sauces are fantastic, their menu is HUGE and they do ALL of it well. I have also been very pleasantly surprised by their outstanding service.
I don't know how they consistently provide excellent food and excellent service - it seems they never have an "off" day. I bring anyone who is visiting me from out of town to this restaurant because I know I can count on great food and excellent service. I've worked in the restaurant industry and am generally a picky customer, difficult to please and always find something wrong with every restaurant I go to, but I have yet to find fault here. I highly, enthusiastically recommend it.

MY REVIEW: Im a regular at this restaurant and i just had to write a review. The staff is great here, the food is good and cheap, and the music is great. Sure they need a couple more female waiters...but these male waiters are really helpful. I'd recommend this place to asian food lovers.

MY REVIEW: I love Le Viet. The menu is comprehensive, the food is delicious, and the service is attentive. Although it's in an ugly strip mall, the inside of Le Viet is tastefully decorated and looks very nice. The service is very fast, particularly at lunch when I've been. The soups can be a little salty, but I've loved everything I've had here. The prices are low, especially considering I usually get two meals out of whatever I order. I never had to ask for more soda, and when I left my leftovers, they ran after me. I was particularly impressed that, after we had paid, we were sitting there talking, and the waiter continued to bring me refills. Most other restaurants will try to get you to leave, but we felt no pressure at all. Thank you Le Viet for a wonderful experience!

MY REVIEW: I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place, and I'm a very picky eater. It's authentic. Le Viet is my favorite restaurant. The prices are great. You can get a good meal for less than 10 dollars, and it will give you leftovers for the next day. I always get the vegatarian flat rice noodle, pan seared, with tofu, and my husband gets go nuts chicken. I could eat it every week, easily.

MY REVIEW: The atmosphere was very warm and friendly. I like the table setting and decoration. The price is reasonable, but doesn't compromise for the quality.
I will never forget the "Banh Xeo" at Le Viet, both quantity and quality exceed normal expectation. I could only find this kind of delicious "Banh Xeo" in Vietnam. The waitresses are super nice and polite. What can I tell more. I went there everyday during my business trip, and I still want to go back again if I have a chance. the restaurant also closed late at night.

MY REVIEW: Great place for Pho( Vietnamese noodles ) I was suprise because I usually go to Bellaire Vietnamese town for Pho. I was amazed at how good Le Viet Pho was. We also love their catfish claypot. It was busy at noon time, however, we did manage to get a table within 10 minutes. This is my first time, I will definitely go back.

MY REVIEW: This is the best Asian restaurant on Westheimer, and the top 3 Vietnamese restaurant in Houston. The wait staff is very knowlege about the menu. I was there with my boyfriend, a great atmosphere for convervation. The spring roll is to die for. Im glad i dont have to drive to Bellaire for Asian food anymore. Its a feel like a five stars restaurant with a three stars price. Le Viet is a wonderful place I highly reccomend this place for everyone.

MY REVIEW: good food. on Westheimer so not as hectic as the vietnamese restaurants on Bellaire. price is a little bit above what the restaurant on Bellaire charge, but worth it because their food is good.

MY REVIEW: I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves vietnamese food, they have some of the best viet dishes i've ever tasted in my life. And the service is outstanding, friendly and courteous waiters, and even bus boys! The last time i went, which was yesterday night; i brought along a couple of friends (it was their first time), so we asked our waiter, if i could recall correctly, his name was hai. I asked hai to recommend us some good plates, and boy were they some good commendations. I mean i would usually come and order the no.29 bun or 16. beef noodle soup, or occassionally try hot pots ( which is very good!). We had the vietnamese crepe and the le viet sampler for appertizers, which was very good ( and it looked nice). For entree, we enjoyed a tasty treat of multiple good dishes of sizzling beef, seafood platter, and the buttered lobster, and their famous pan fried crispy noodles, followed by fried bananas. I hope everyone that comes to this restaurant will enjoy, or try the food we had tasted. Great service and food! i would give this restaraurant a 9/10!

MY REVIEW: I love Le Viet. The food is wonderful and it can never disappoint me. My favorite is the Banh Xeo (vietnamese crepe), eggrolls, bo luc lac is the best here. I recommend trying this place out. I like the party room as well. I had a baby shower party there for one of my friends and we did the food buffet style. I promise you it was excellent and the owner was so nice to accomodate our needs... Check it out if you get a chance.

MY REVIEW: Actually, they don't know my name... They only recognize me :p This is the best Vietnamese in Houston so far. The food is fresh & tasty and the prices are very reasonable.
We tried almost everything from the menu. As a reviewer said about his friends, I don't freak out over some of Le Viet's dishes (chia go, pho, curry chicken or shrimps, caramelized pork etc...) because my mom and I cook them at home (homemade food is always better) but I can tell you their bun bo is one of the best I've ever eaten (after my grand-mother's and some in Vietnam). The bo luc lac is just AWESOME also.
If you think your food is not salty enough, you can request some "nuoc mam". But ask for the one in the bottle (pure) otherwise they will bring you the chia go (nem) sauce...
The restaurant itself is very nice: clean, good lighting (you can actually see what you eat), not over decorated and the staff is friendly.
2 years ago we invited my in-laws for the Tet (Vietnamese New Year). I don't remember what we ordered, but they had a show with some dancers, 2 "dragons", drums etc... It was very entertaining.
Even if I cook, I can be lazy (especially after a long hard day at work), we often order to pick up. The boxes are huge and there's so much good food that usually I don't need to worry about my lunch for the following day. When I was pregnant not too long ago, I was craving for spring and summer rolls (healthy cravings!). My dear husband would order them every other day (that's why they know his name)
Just to tell you how much we LOVE this place: when the time comes we want to move from our home, the new one will have to be close to Le Viet also. I cannot imagine living far from my favourite restaurant!

MY REVIEW: You've never had soup like the Mekong Soup @ LV, the best in Houston. Tangy, spicy and complex with tofu, chicken, whatever. I'd eat abandoned-underwear Mekong soup if they made it! You like Pho? Try the Mekong. Pho rocks, Com Tam, too. I eat here 2-3 times/week and it is the best tasting, best deal you can get on the west side for Viet food. I have Viet friends who don't freak out over LV like I do, but that's just b/c their Mom is such a great cook - spoiled brats. Ive' tried 20+ things from the menu and I still crawl back to the Pho or Mekong Soup with Autumn rolls. Service is excellent in my experience. I tell everyone about this place - must try. Must have Mekong soup.....

MY REVIEW: I can't take the "Everybody knows my name..." category literally but I do visit multiple times a month for my usual lunch specials. Never had a problem, always nice, and best of all the food was always good! Prices are very reasonable. I've been coming here for several years and I'm sure they recognize me when they see me. Favorite dishes? Nam Vang soup, and the one where you get to pick 3 kinds of freshly grilled stuff served over crushed rice.

MY REVIEW: Just like most of the other reviewers, I agree that the resturant is WONDERFUL! Everything is wonderful, but last time the group I was with ordered the hot pot. Even though the waiter said it was only enough to feed two people, the three of us left STUFFED. I love the spring rolls, and I'm very picky about my viet food so it is indeed a compliment. The staff is very attentive and will answer all questions. I have always been pleased and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a nice, quiet place to relax and enjoy good food.

MY REVIEW: This is a great vietnamese/chinese restaurant. The food is tasty and the portion is big. The service is very nice and friendly. The dish black pepper chicken and lemongrass tofus are the BEST.
Everyone should give this restaurant a try, at least. I promise you'll get hooked.

MY REVIEW: We have never been disappointed in the food, service, quality, etc. Le Viet is one of our favorites for the past year and will continue. Always order the Dinner for 2,4,6, 8 or 10. A much greater value you will never find elsewhere.
Bon Appetit!

MY REVIEW: Le Viet is the BEST Vietnamese restaurant in Houston! They have extensive meat and vegetarian selections, alike. Perfect date place or great for a casual lunch with friends (or take out). It has cute ambience, and very reasonable prices...especially for what you get! I enthusiastically recommend this place.

MY REVIEW: I've been visiting this restaurant for a few years & have never had a bad dining experience. The food is always fresh & tasty, the service is fast & friendly. The lemongrass tofu dish is by far the best I've ever had (& I've had MANY). Several of my hardcore carnivore friends swear they hate tofu, but Le Viet's is so good they now order it when visiting this place. The Vietnamese eggrolls & springrolls are the best.

MY REVIEW: This was my first visit here, so I ordered from the lunch menu. I ordered the Pho soup (with the sliced pork), the Bun, Spring roll and Summer rolls. All of the food was fresh, but it tasted average. I won't be going back. I'll stick with V*an Loc where the food is both fresh and tasty.

MY REVIEW: I have been coming to this restaurnt for a few years now and have had almost everything on the menu. My favorite thing about Viet are thier portions. As for the guy who complained about the prawns he must of had issues because they are HUGE in no way confusable with a shrimp. They are always friendly and fast while keeping things fresh. I have had vietnamese food all over the city and this by far has become my favorite. Keep up the good work!

MY REVIEW: Great atmosphere and staff. A little pricey, but the quick service and food quality definitely makes up for the price. The lunch specials are a little better in price, so I recommend their chicken special with brown rice and vegetable medley.
I am usually in and out in 30 minutes, co if you love and want a quality Vietnamese lunch served quickly...Give this place a try!!!
