MY REVIEW: Very disappointed with the 2/$12 Burgers special with fries on Tues. Did not get fries due to cooker just happened to stop working while we were there and was only offered a bag of chips . Burgers were small and did not feel it was worth 2 for $12. However I personally had the turkey burger and even with out the onion rings it was very good and more worth the $6. Will try the one in tomball and see how they are before I give them a high rating compared to 5 g*uys.

MY REVIEW: All their beef hamburgers are Angus Beef only...and you can tell it. They also have buffalo, venison, ostrich, alligator and elk burgers...haven't tried these yet, but what a menu. We usually get the 1/3 lb burger with the jalepeno bun - excellent! Today (Tuesday & every Tuesday) we tried their 1/4 lb burger (Special - 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 drinks - $10). The 1/4 lb beef patty seemed thicker than any other 1/4 burger on the market. Every day of the week there is a special.
I have no complaints about the 3 onion rings with your meal since they will "refill" with 3 more onion rings as many times as you want! This Burger Fresh is in a former Dairy Q*ueen building but it serves Blue Bell ice cream now. We've only been there once that we had to wait a while to be served since it was so crowded. All other times the service was fast. Look out, M*els and 5 G*uys! This place is serious competition.

MY REVIEW: I had lunch today for the first time at Burger Fresh in Conroe. Before arriving, I already knew Texas Monthly magazine had this eatery ranked as the thirteenth best burger in Texas. I walked into their no-frills edifice today and skeptically ordered their bacon cheeseburger and onion rings.
To my surprise, Texas Monthly got it right. My burger was enormously good and their onion rings were outstanding.
Their onion rings were freshly made, not frozen. The rings were about the diameter of a baseball and were approximately one or two inches tall. A standard order of their onion rings consisted of three large stacked rings, but they were so large I found it difficult to find room for the third ring (but I did).
I am currently unable to quantify precisely what caused my burger to be so scrumptious. The best explanation I can offer: it reminded me of a burger I savored as a youngster in the late 1960’s from an old mom-and-pop burger joint in my small Central Texas hometown.
I advise you to avoid their fries and tots and stick with their fresh made onion rings. Based on what I saw, I think their fries and tots are of a frozen origin. I implore all restaurateurs reading this review to please avoid utilizing frozen french fries.
If you order one of their baskets, it is declared on their menu your basket will be “bottomless” and will be continuously refilled with fries, tots, or onion rings until you lose consciousness. Knowing that offering me all-you-can-eat fresh made onion rings is akin to offering a junkie all-you-can-smoke fresh made crack, I wisely selected the non-bottomless standard order of three large onion rings.
This eatery has a very modest external appearance and is located in a sparsely populated sleepy corner of Conroe. It has the flavor of a small town old fashioned Texas burger joint. I will be returning soon.

MY REVIEW: Decent quality burger, the bad part is I ordered the bacon cheese burger basket with onion rings. There was only ONE piece of bacon on the burger broken into 3 pieces. They only gave me 3 onion rings! do they really consider that an order of onion rings? Three? Really? Decent food, not great, but it just bugs the crap outa me that they skimp on ingredients to save money. I will NOT go back. These people need to realize, I live in Tomball, they are competing against M*el's Cafe! Same price i can get a better tasting burger, with 3 pieces of bacon on it! Not one piece of bacon torn into 3 pieces! And the onion rings, you don't get 3 onion rings, you get about 12 to 15. like I said, I will not be going back.

MY REVIEW: 1st time upon hearing about this place from my son who works in Conroe. Went about 6:00 p.m. NO lines. Great and quick service. Ordered the one featured in Texas Monthly not the one on the big poster. 1/3lb. burger on Jalapeno bun. Very, very, good. I did think the meat could have been more flavorful (maybe more of a charcoal or grilled taste). The chocolate malt was great. The onion rings are some of the best I have ever had. French fries were good too! Would eat there again although it is kind of far from Spring for a hamburger.

MY REVIEW: Some friends of mine raved about this place and took me to lunch here, and they were right on the money. My burger was amazing! It was juicy and delicious and I loved the creative touches. The burger I had was served with pepper jack cheese on a sourdough jalapeno bun. Served with real french fries, too. Of course, they serve traditional burgers, as well.
While we were there, the owner was out and about talking to the patrons, and mentioned they are serving breakfast now, beginning at 6 am.
On Tuesdays, they have a 2-fer deal - 2 burgers, 2 french fries and 2 drinks for $10. Pretty nice.
I don't go to Conroe often, but when I do, I intend to stop here.
