MY REVIEW: Too awesome all the way around! I have been a faithful customer for over 3 years now. I love the food & service. Great prices & lots of food. I love the Mongolian Beef, Generals Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Orange chicken etc...I'm allergic to all seafood, otherwise I am sure it would be fantastic too! The Best Hot & Sour soup by far. I also love the sour cabbage. All too yummy! Don't change a thing! No weak points here!

MY REVIEW: Taste, so fresh and hot made just for you. Fast service, clean, friendly, lunch specials seven days a week till 4:00 PM. Prices can't be beat for this quality.
Lived in Houston over 30 years and tried my share of Hunan cuisine over the years and this one ranks very close to F*u's Garden at Fountainvie and Voss as one of my favorites.
Egg drop soup is to die for. So delicate and satisfying. Spring roll is delicate and flavorful. Go with hot tea, yeah.

MY REVIEW: You can get great Chinese food at Cafe Taipei and the service is quick and attentive. I love the lettuce wraps, the kung pao chicken, actually it's a long list! You'll have to go to try them all. It's one of the few places around where you can get real spicy dishes if you want them. I think they just re-did the interior? nice and subtle colors.

MY REVIEW: very disappointing...
went for lunch special. had kung pao chicken. very little flavor at all. a bit of ginger and garlic, but not heat despite 8-9 chilies on the plate.
serbvice was just short of rude. waiter never looked me in the eye, nor did he acknowlege me when i thanked him for bringing each item.
however, the egg roll and hot and sour soup were very very good. egg roll == crispy and not greasy. soup == stove hot, complex flavor, much more meat than most.
very expensive for a chinese lunch special

MY REVIEW: Absolutely the best chinese food I ever had, I highly recommend you to stop by and try their authentic gourmet dishes. My personal favorite is the mongolian triple, its a combination of chicken, beef, and shrimp sauteed in a teriffic mongolian sauce complimented with some scallions and onions. The environment is also very peaceful and enjoyable. If you like a taste of true homecooked authentic chinese food this is the place to be.

MY REVIEW: Very clean, free refills, nice staff, very quiet, wonderful food at a reasonable price. i highly recommend this restraunt. we ordered the fried dumplings, sweet and sour chicken and the mongolian tripple. all were hot and tasted like chineese should taste, not like shopping mall chineese food. we went at 830pm and were the only ones in the restraunt on a monday. service was a little slow but we got our appetizer in 10 minutes and our entres 10 minutes later. better chineese then l*ucky village buffet. 4 and 1/2 out of 5 stars.

MY REVIEW: This is my favorite restaurant in Houston... so far.
I haven't been in the counrty for very long, but I love chinese food, and this place is so close I decided to try it out.
My mum and I love it and have been back several times, and when ever we need anyhting really fast I drop in there for the wonton soup. It's SOOO cheap, even for a bowl of soup... which is almost enough for a meal, and the servie is always excellent.
I strongly recomend Cafe Taipei if you enjoy chinese food.

MY REVIEW: I stopped eating Chinese food until I found this place. It's very good. Excellent hot & sour soup. The orange chicken is very good. I don't like the eggrolls - too bland. Very good service, too. Great, cheap lunch menu.

MY REVIEW: Best Chinese American food this side of Taipei...maybe even better. Lunch menu cost less than most buffets in the area but the food is much better and there's plenty on your plate. You won't leave hungry or broke.
Fast service for those with a short lunch break from the office.
The place is run by three sisters who are very personable. Their only handicap is real estate... they need more room now that their list of fans is growing larger each day.
TRY THIS PLACE!

MY REVIEW: Hands down the BEST Chinese food we have had in a long time! We had Mongolian Beef (Fantastic/ very Fresh Green Scallions! None of the old white parts), Hot & Sour Soup the best we have ever had! I am very picky about how Hot & Sour soup should taste. They couldn't have done anything to improve on it! It was fantastic! Spring rolls were ok.... a little bland. We will be back!
