MY REVIEW: We stopped by this place on a whim as we aren't from this part of town. Wow, the flavor on the food here is amazing. I had the Enchiladas Verdes and it was some of the best I've ever had. Service was outstanding. There was someone at our table every few minutes minimum, either refilling drinks, salsa, chips, asking how our food was. Do yourself a favor and try this place out! We'll be back whenever we get to this part of town.

MY REVIEW: Like another reviewer I've been here many times but this last visit will be just that...the last. This last visit has to do with food quality and amount of food they give you for "take out" vs. "dine in". I will eat here or order take-out due to convenience of location in relation to where I live. The food is at times okay to very greasy. I try to order food that doesn't have much grease but you cannot get away from the greasy flour tortillas they serve for things like quesadillas or soft tacos. They just don't make good tortillas. The biggest complaint is their takeout. They short you on food but charge you the same as if you dine in. This last visit I made my issues known to the waitress and she said she'd talk to the kitchen manager only to return to relay that the kitchen manager said "that's the way it is." He had no intention of rectifying the situation. In essence, he was willing to lose customers in order to make a few pennies on every takeout order. Restaurants such as this who care so little about their customers deserve to lose them.

MY REVIEW: Great food. Gallitos Snapper is great with a nice spicy flavor with mushrooms and sweet onions + jalapeno's cooked in a wine sauce. El Panchito is another favorite of mine.Egg plant deep fried in corn meal full of sea food (scallops, shrimp, etc) covered with cheese sauce, Charo beans-fantastic! I've been a cust for twenty years even before this location. The people are very friendly with good service.Alberto will be a great server; I've know him for at least 18yrs.

MY REVIEW: We have eaten here many times before, but this may be the last!! The enchillada dinner came out cold. They took it back and just reheated the plate, but did not care that the salad and guacamole were on the plate and came back hot!! They had to take it back again and just remake the dinner. I had asked for the onions to be put on the side, which they took back with the cold dinner...and then charged us $0.75 for a side of onions!! A manager should have visited the table, but we never saw one!! I think we can find another place to spend our money....Guess they have forgotten how to keep the customer happy!!

MY REVIEW: We went there. The restaurant looked beautiful from the outside that's why we went in. When we went they try to charge $3 extra for some jalapenos for our chips. There kind of pricey and the service kind of sucks. The only good food i liked was there fried fish platter. Fajitas were someod old not fresh you can easily tell. Will never go back.

MY REVIEW: Decided to give it another try after our first visit failed to impress. They tried to pass off microwave-hardened tamales to me. I could not even poke my fork thru them. The manager was quick to respond and my new order was much better because they had properly steamed it. I didn't even bother to complain about the 3 thin slices of dried out, twice-fried pork they called carnitas. They'd already lost my business.

MY REVIEW: Los Gallitos is the Best Tex-Mex restaurant in the Houston area, period!! Everyone that I know gets taken to Los Gallitos and I have not had one person say that they weren't coming back. Large menu to choose from, excellent chips and red and green sauce. The house margaritas are ok, but I don't go there for the drinks, just the food. I will say that the strawberry margaritas are better than the plain margaritas.
Even if you don't like Tex-Mex they have excellent fish and chicken dishes. The Fish Louisiana is every bit as good as P*appadeaux and alot cheaper. The Chicken Marsala is to die for and compares with any Italian restaurant in the area. Go there! Go there! Go there!!! Did I mention go there?

MY REVIEW: Our family loves Los Gallitos - it is our favorite Tex-mex place. The staff is always great and attentive. Your tea or water will never get empty.
The chicken dishes are the best and a good deal. You get a whole breast with tortillas on the side. My Dad always enjoys the okra dishes. I love their quesdillas - they are super cheesy. The beef fajitas are tasty but sometimes tough. The mole is just okay, seafood dishes are hit or miss. The fish is usually great but the shrimp is not always the best.
The green and red salsas served with the chips are awesome. The margaritas are popular but I don't get them because I usually go for lunch. This is a great place, but you have to experiment to find the best dishes for you.

MY REVIEW: This is our absolute fave Mex food in Sugar Land and we've lived here 10 yrs. and eaten at them all. I was born and raised in San Antonio and I know good Tex-Mex! We eat Mexican every Friday night and eat at Los Gallitos at least every other Friday. When we want to impress out-of-town friends, we take them here b/c of the great food and charming patio/water view. The fajita chalupas are my go-to dish and the fajita tacos (fajitas, plated) are my husband's fave. The fajita meat is flawless, very reliable. We also like B*ravo's in MoCity and La C*ocina in Pecan Grove is also worth the drive. The 2 salsas at Los G's are also wonderful--the green sauce is the best in town.

MY REVIEW: Coming from San Antonio where Mexican Restaraunts are EVERYWHERE, I have been very pleased with Los Gallitos. They have a variety of dishes to please any appetite, even low-cal options! But even better than their food is their view! It's one of the best views in Sugar Land! If it's a beautiful day, ask to sit outside, as long as you don't mind the ducks coming and begging for some chips. I like the fact that they give you two kinds of salsa with your chips. Their queso is not my favorite, but again, I'm from San Antonio!!!

MY REVIEW: Was apprehensive of trying this place as many friends had warned me off, but I was wanting to try something new as I was alone and short on time. The atmosphere is typical Mexican, wood, tile and lots of Mexican flags. I was prompty seated as there was not that many patrons at 1230 on a Monday. I didn notice lots of Gringos (anglos) in large groups (company lunch destination) with margaritas on every table (as a non drinker now I will take that as a recommendation for the ritas).
I scanned the menu and didn't see what I was looking for so I asked the waiter if they had soup, they did (chicken and totilla) so I ordered the soup and he recommended the plate with a fajita taco rider- I agreed and dove in on the chips the addition wait staff had brought out with salsa and a tomatillo sauce (green sauce)- both were good, real good actually. The tostadas were not hot like many places in the area, but were good and crisp.
The soup came out quickly and was piping hot, I heaped up the rice and pico with avacados on the side and splashed theme in the bowl. Once I stirred it up I noticed lots of chicken (hand pulled not chopped up) and took a big bite...yummy. The soup rocked. I decided to venture to the taco, beef fajita, and it was pretty good as well.
Over all a nice lunch, service was good and the food was good as well. I would risk it if anyone was wanting a place that was quick and courteous...

MY REVIEW: Our family of 3 tried to go to a very popular Mexican restaurant in First Colony, but when we saw that their were no parking places left and their was a crowd waiting outside the door, we decided to give this place a try. As this was a Friday night we were suprised to find that there were more empty tables than occupied and there wasn't anyone sitting at the bar.
My husband and I ordered La Parriella to share, which is $28. The menu listed it as shrimp, fajita beef & chicken, beans, rice, guacemole, ribs and mixed vegetables. When our order came there was not one bit of steam coming off the fajitas, let alone the smoke that you see at most Mexican restaurants.
The shrimp was chewy and bland. The fajita beef was tough. The mixed vegetables consisted of onion only! The ribs were a tiny portion, which really did not matter when we found that the only spice used to cook them was bbq sauce, likely from a bottle. I was amused when I saw the amount of guacemole that we had on our plates. About one teaspoon on each plate. No pico, no sour cream.
We will never return!

MY REVIEW: I LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant! Everytime I go it's a great experience. All the servers I've had are very knowledgable and answer all my questions. They're very quick at lunch - I think they understand how quick an hour lunch can go by. I usually try to order something different everytime and have no complaints on any of it. The quesadillas are delicious and my friend is in love with the fish tacos. Margaritas are yummy and not too strong. This is definitely the place to go if you want great food and great service and a reasonable price!

MY REVIEW: Mexican food falls under compulsive behavior for me. This is our home away from home. I still consider this the best I have had in the Houston area. Not crazy about everything on the menu, but if your burnt out on TexMex, you must try this place. Very reasonable prices and exellent dishes! Great staff. Fresh ingrediants. "Muy sobroso" Try the Enchaladas del Mar, or any of the dozen choices of fajitas.
