Lindy's Country Cupboard Cake   319 Riley Fuzzell Rd Spring TX 77373 281.353.2670 You might also be interested in these:     Bakeries    ZIP 77373   Add Review       MY REVIEW: a chef i know recommended lindy's to me after talking to her about the outrageous prices for wedding cakes. i had shopped at w*ho made the cake and about 6 other "high-end" bakeries. their samples were mediocre compared to lindy's. when i went in for the consultation she showed my mother and i the book of cakes SHE MADE (not just cake pictures from magazines). when i had talked to lindy's a few days before the consultation i told her i would like to try the italian creame and the vanilla with the buttercreame icing. instead of giving my mother and i a small slice from the fridge in the back, she came out with two little boxes and said this one is itl. cream and this one is plain vanila wedding cake both with butter creame icing. she said take it home, invite the family over, taste them and if you like them - call me back and i'll make your wedding cake. she sent us home with fully decorated 6" cakes. we went home and tried them and it was obvious that we had to get lindy!!! i was the 3rd or 4th wedding that day and she said it'd be no problem. i designed the cake myself from pictures i had seen in magazines and she said that's no problem and showed me pictures of cakes from magazines and then the picture of the cake she made right next to it. it looks EXACTLY the same. SHE IS AMAZING!!!!! pricing is SO REASONABLE. she doesn't charge for every extra little thing that you may want. if you want every layer a different kind of cake no problem. at another bakery i went to if i wanted 2 flavors it was 50 extra and if i wanted 3 different then it was 75. each layer of my cake had different designs. no extra charge. at the other bakery each layer was basically individually priced. And a bonus is that she is just a sweetheart to work with. i HIGHLY recomend her to anyone. whether you are on a budget for a wedding cake or just want an awesome tasting cake. SHE IS THE BEST!!! I got married in 2006 and he recommended this place b/c he got his wedding cake from here. I am a big time shopper so I tried cakes from several places and nothing compared to Lindy's!! Her cakes are so good, just thinking of them makes my mouth water! The ingredients are so fresh and the flavor is just wonderful! My husband chose a chocolate ice chest with beer style cake for his groom's cake. He thought it was the best thing ever. For our wedding cake, when it arrived at our reception hall, it had decorations exactly as how we had discussed. We were very pleased. I have since used Lindy for other special occassions and have been happy with all the other cakes. Italian Creme is my favorite and I highly recommend it!! Weak Points: I have no weak points about her cakes. The only thing is that I wish she were more centrally located. Spring is a far drive from the South side of town, but believe me, it's worth the drive! We ordered our wedding cake and grooms cake from her and she did an outstanding job. To start with, she gave us as many samples as we wanted and the samples were small cakes which was enough for about four people! When I saw the cakes on my wedding day, I ws so impressed. They looked exactly like what we discussed and she even took care of the ribbon and roses that we wanted on the cake. Both cakes were delicious and fresh and everyone commented on how good they were. Also, Lindy boxed a top tier seperately for our one year anniversay. So we had a three tiered cake and also a top tier. So really, we got a four tiered cake for a fraction of the price that other places were charging. Her prices are ridiculously low and the quality is amazing. If I ever need a cake for any other event, this is where I will be going. We got the cake and it was the cutest thing I have ever seen. When we ate it, we discovered that although it was the itialian cream cake we ordered, it did not have cream cheese icing, but butter cream. Don't get me wrong, the cake was delicious, and because of this, we said nothing about it being wrong. This last weekend, we ordered a cake for my son's first birthday. We enjoyed the icing on the first one so much, we even ordered that icing, but when we sliced into it, we were dismayed to find that it was a white cake, not the chocolate that we ordered. I ordered a two tiered cake with scrolls, one layer plain,the other Italian Cream, with buttercream frosting. When I picked it up, a week later, it was a very elegant cake, with pretty translucent sugar crystals on it. It cost 90.00 and was lovelier than my own wedding cake which cost twice as much. Next time I would probably go for the cream cheese icing, though. The buttercream was a little sweet, but that's my own preference. I will be checking Lindy's out soon for birthday cakes.
