MY REVIEW: Rockfish is always a pleasant experience and I have never been disappointed with anything on my visits. The service is always cordial and efficient and the food is always of high quality, served hot and fresh with a smile. Bonus, it's very affordable! Tried the bread pudding recently and it is yummy!
This restaurant is on my permanent rotation list.

MY REVIEW: This was the best seafood experience that I have had in the Houston since I moved here in 2006.Dexter was knowledgeable and courteous. His knowledge of the menu and the cooking styles was excellent. He made sure to make eye contact every time he passed by and stopped just the right amount of times to ensure our food was a excellent as it was and if we needed anything. My blackened ahi tuna was superb in preparation and flavor and my wife’s patter was the same. The atmosphere was good. It was slightly loud which I prefer. I do not like having to whisper while I converse during dining. This place ROCKS!

MY REVIEW: First time (weekday lunch)and will return. Service was excellent, food was very good (2 of us had fish tacos, me for the first time but not sure they are my favorite but other person said they were good compared to other places), grilled salmon and catfish w/beans and rice got compliments from the other 2 at my table. Price is not too expensive (the discount coupon didn't hurt) for the amount of food and the location. Everyone agreed we will return in the future to try some of the other dishes.

MY REVIEW: We dine at Rockfish quite often. We particularly enjoy the pecan crusted trout, the blackened flounder, the salmon salad, and the crab meat salad. The house dressing is delicious and the salads are generous. We have had minimal problems with the service but the servers are always quite nice to deal with and attentive. We will continue to dine at this restaurant.

MY REVIEW: Clearly understaffed and overwhelmed. Sat nite, called ahead to be put on list for table for 8 and was told they would get it ready and would be available upon our arrival. As soon as we got there, they found our name and the girl asked the a manager? where to put a table for 8...35-40 mins they would have one. I had called about 15-20 mins before..now they had no table coming available and had no idea who had told us such a thing and didn't have our name...didn't she just said she did??? To their credit, they looked for seating options and fortunately a large table left sooner than expected...but it was downhill from there. Waiter was running from back to front....no waitstaff for too many tables, ordered salads which were placed so quickly we nearly lost half the food....no silverware.....finally got waiter...another 5 mins as he sraambled all over looking for silverware as they were out....flagged him down 3 times to please take the order. Food did arrive promptly....very over rated. Seafood enchiladas were so undercooked....too tough to even cut with knife and terribly dry, fish dishes were very fresh but either totally underseasoned or overseasoned to the point the fish flavor was lost. The side dishes are glorified Luby's...loaded mashed potato, corn???? Too many good seafood restaruants in that area to try this again. Bye bye.

MY REVIEW: Wonderful for lunch!
Service is a little slow, and they delay giving you your check. On the other hand, the food is delicious, fresh, and full of falvor.
We've gone as a group, and each dish ordered was correct, and piping hot.
The lunch menu is expanding, and the regular menu is extensive.
We will definatley go back for dinner as well.

MY REVIEW: Took my wife out to try this place and I can now add this to one of my favorite restaurants in H-town. Her seared tuna salad was incredible so was my appetizer sampler. Great portions and service. This is where I'll be taking family when they visit. Only con is there's not one inside the loop.

MY REVIEW: I recently dined at this restaurant with a friend. The food was excellent and the service was also good. I would definately recommend and take guests there. The waitress steered us away from the Seafood Fondue but after requesting a sample we fell in love with it. We both had the Pecan Crusted Trout which was also exceptional. The manager visited our table and asked about our meal. We were hooked! Prices and interior decoration was also good.

MY REVIEW: First time we had been there in some time but found a major disappointment upon finding they no longer offer oysters on the half shell as they had in the past. I've put a note about this on their website -- their response will determine if and when we go back. Whoever heard of any self respecting seafood house not having oysters, especially in season??

MY REVIEW: We had Pecan crusted trout & ahi tuna. Both were delicious. Also had the shrimp margahrita starter - this was also nice. Both meals were cooked very well, both were tasty.
I would have liked to have seen french fries on the sides list for custom orders...I have ABSOLUTLEY nooo idea why fries would not be a side order option?!?!...they are served with the basket dishes, but not the custom order dishes - perhaps this is something you have to ask for separately, doesn't make sense to me.
Also, our waitress was realy slow to begin with, I had to flag her down to order our food which I don't enjoy doing! she was fine after that. In saying that, I would definately go back as the decor was great (diner style), reasonable priced ($8-20), and we found the food to be very tasty.

MY REVIEW: This is probably the worst fish restaurant I've been to. The service was appalling, my fish was served to me still frozen in the middle. After being sent back to be cooked, came back cold. By the time my dinner came out my other two dinner companions had finished their meal. The manager did come out and apologize and said he would credit my bill for my meal. Guess what, bill came and no credit and he was no where to be found when it was time to leave and the waitress didn't know anything about the credit. Waitress was very unprofessional, bragging how hungover she was from partying the night before. The quality of the food was not much better than cafeteria style food. Will not go back.

MY REVIEW: I've eaten at this restaurant three times; the last time was on July 19.
Overall, you get good food value for the money. The quality is better than L*andry's or J*oes Crab Shack, but a cut below P*appadeauz. They give you the option of ordering from a list of sea food that can be blackened or grilled, and any two sides. I chose Salmon (blackened) with spinach and wild rice. The week before, I ordered tuna (blackened), also with spinach and wild rice.
Both were quite good, and the portions don't overwhelm you like they do at P*appadeaux.
Service is mixed. It is, after all, The Woodlands, and they tend to hire local kids who have yet to learn what good service is all about (probably because they drove up in their BMW's given as a birthday/graduatation gift by their overindulging parents).
I efinitely plan to go again, and recommedn the food there.

MY REVIEW: I've been going to this location since it opened. Mother's Day 2007 was a surprise. The "special" contained a 3 inch by 3 inch piece of Haddock, brocolli on long stems, so old it was in bloom (brocolli also extremely overcooked) - all for $18.00 per plate (3 plates). While the fish was very good, the price was excessive for the serving. The brocolli problem was mentioned to the manager, who tried to argue that it was a special kind of brocolli and was otherwise unconcerned. Has this place changed hands? I won't write them off yet because of years of great service and food. They do deserve another shot and hopefully they will improve their attitude and willingness to at least hear customer remarks without making excuses for the error.

MY REVIEW: The food at Rockfish is always excellent and the service is great. The gumbo is fantastic, the shrimp martini is heavenly and the Rock-a-Rita is the only margarita I'll drink. The atmosphere is friendly and casual. You can hold a conversation without yelling and then pop across the parking lot to shop afterwards - and you'll need to after you eat all the wonderful food. There are no weak points at Rockfish.

MY REVIEW: If you are looking for great seafood at an affordable price — Rockfish will have you hooked!
This is by far one of my favorite Houston restaurants. The service is great and the prices are simply unbelievable. I am pretty picky...but they hit home each time I visit.
As a bonus--if you sign up for their email list, they will send you coupons for free appetizers, desserts and every once a while --- buy one, get one free entrees!
Although I have been hooked on the gumbo forever (I get a cup every time I visit), I recently tried to Jalapeno Cream soup and it is DIVINE. They have great salads and the homemade honey mustard dressing is great--spicy,tangy and delicious.
Strong Points: Fresh and Fast, Soups, Price, Service, Locations, All of their specialties (listed on the chalkboard), Jalepeno Fritters, Crab Legs I can go on and on...
Weak Points: Not a big fan of the shrimp/jalepeno bacon appetizers.
Specialties: Bayou Catfish (This is wonderful..), Soups
Desserts: Bread Pudding is really good (Try it even if you don't normally eat it) You will be impressed
We usually head here on the weekends, but recently tried it on a weeknight. Although it was packed, our waiter kept us happy and our glasses full.
Definitely a place you should try..even if it is a chain!
