MY REVIEW: IMO Best restaurant for lunch around the galleria area for the money. HOK has never failed to deliver me a deliciously fresh combination chick/beeef kabob plate! The owner is really cool guy as well.

MY REVIEW: Hands down, BEST hummus, rice, and chicken kabob in the city. And I LOVE hummus and have lived in Houston for 30 years trying it all. Amazing. The freshest ingredients and unbelievable flavors. And the owner is super nice

MY REVIEW: If you're looking for a delicious authentic meal at a great price, House of Kebab can't be beat with a stick. I've been going to House of Kebab for five years, sometimes on a daily basis. The menu covers all the basics of Mediterranean cuisine: chicken and beef kafta, chicken and beef shawarma, falafel, and all the usual sides like hummus, tabouleh, yogurt with mint, babaghanoush, grape leaves, fatoosh, and salad. In addition, there is usually another dish to choose from in one of the warming trays. This is usually some kind of stew or lamb. You can get your meat with either white or spiced rice or choose two other sides to go with it. Another plus is the .99 all-you-can-drink herbal tea. If tea is not your cup of...well, you know...then there's a cooler full of Gatorade, yogurt drinks and tropical juices. I like the mango.
While the ambiance at this Middle Eastern eatery is, let's just say, spartan, the eats, as well as the friendly service from House of Kebab's ownwer (a very nice guy), fully compensate. Yes, there is always a television tuned to the Arabic channel, but for me, that just sweetens the deal. Bottom line: food on par with any of Houston's best Mediterranean joints, prices that those places can't hold a candle to.

MY REVIEW: I eat here once a week or so. The place is not pretty but I watch them prepare the food (open kitchen) and I watch the care they take in preparing every plate. Impressive.. The food is always freshly prepared and tastes really good and is consistent time after time. The best Hummus I have had anywhere, best Tabouli, best spicy rice too! Very good prices too.
I usually call ahead and order take out because they take their time preparing. They do run out of the Shawarma Beef and Shawarma Chicken frequently so I'll order a chicken kebob or kafta kebob in that case. Either way it is good... just remember it is a hole in the wall and there is almost always loud soccer on the TV in Arabic.

MY REVIEW: What a great eatery. For me, as a Muslim, it’s a great deal that i can not only enjoy a cheap, freshly prepared meal, but above all its prepared with Halal ingredients . The Arab brother who runs the show, knows well how to feed the hungry like me. I met my wife here few months ago, and we been coming here to enjoy the food with our kids ever since. Great Job…..

MY REVIEW: The food is okay, but you get very little of it. They were also out of my favorite dish (chicken shawarma), when I went.

MY REVIEW: I visited House of Kabob about a week ago and I must say that their food is very, very fresh and tasty. I had the chicken kabob with the hummus and it was very good. The chicken was very fresh and seasoned well and the hummus is some of the best I've had. They have quite a few choices on their menu and their prices are very reasonable ($5-$8) for a meal. The restaurant is very simple and plain but if you're after a good meal at a good price its the place to go.
I must say that I am a big fan of D*arband Shishkabob but after eating at House of Kabob I might be visiting D*arband a little less now. Try it for yourself!

MY REVIEW: I have been dining here since 2003. The food is amazing!
The pita sandwiches and plates are always fresh and delicious. Try the combination plate, you'll get a taste of all the meats with rice and 2 sides...for like $7.
The plate of the days is always a bargain...a treat for the taste buds!

MY REVIEW: This place is truely a hidden jewel. The food is as good as it gets. If you are looking for good lebanese food, come here. The ambience is so so but the food makes up for it. I recommend the Kabob platters and ask for extra garlic sauce with their special chili sauce. You should be able to eat within $10. Oh and it's family owned and the people are very nice!!

MY REVIEW: The chicken shawarma is one of the best that I have had anywhere. The prices are low. If you are looking for good food at cheap prices, then this is the place. No ambience but it's almost like you are having home made food.
The chicken kabob plate is good too & come with a side of hummus & lebanese rice. Try it once...

MY REVIEW: The best Middle Eastern food I have had ever! The food is absolutely incredible and the price is just fantastic. The portions are great and the flavour is just to die for. I would definitely go there again when I visit Houston. Try the Shawarma or Mansaf with Laban, Oh my Gosh, I wanted to by the whle thing... The people who work there are very nice and I think the the price is very reasonable compared to other Middle Eastern Restaurants around that area that claim to have good prices. This is just the best!
