MY REVIEW: Went for lunch and had a good time.
The antipasto bar was $18 or $23 if you get the made to order pasta. The pasta was good but if I had to do it again, I would skip it and just load up on the antipasto -- everything on the bar was excellent - cheese, mushrooms, lunchmeats, tomatoes with cheese and basil, little pizzas, and much more.
Only bad thing: $5 iced tea, $4.50 cokes. What is this, a strip club??

MY REVIEW: as far as I am concerned this was the best dining experience I have ever had. The filet mignon was absolutely perfect! We were there celebrating our anniversary and they brought out a complimentary dessert with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate on the plate. Everything from the bread to the desserts were absolutely delicious. I will be frequenting this restaurant for as long as I live in Houston! The waitstaff was VERY attentive, very quick, and very kind in bringing us complimentary courses due to our celebration. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

MY REVIEW: We had Sunday brunch at Quattro. This was our first visit. My husband and I had a wonderful time. The food was wonderful, the service was superb. We will definitely come back.

MY REVIEW: Horrible. Overpriced, bad service, mediocre food. I had visited previously for lunch and had had a decent experience, so I went back. Never again. The "lunch" menu had completely changed (including the prices, which went up significantly). I had the hamburger and for $16, I was expecting something pretty incredible. What I got, however, was a tasteless piece of ground chuck with some strange cheese. No plain yellow mustard, either--just honey dijon. The fries were equally tasteless and overcooked. Our waiter was practically non-existent, and when my dining partner's order was delivered incorrect, it was taken back to the kitchen and 20 minutes later I had to flag down a manager to check on it, at which point it was brought back to the table. The tiny, overpriced bottles of soda are ridiculous. There were no apologies for the non-existent. I will not be back.

MY REVIEW: I was extremely disappointed in my dining experience at Quattro. I took my husband there for Sunday brunch for his birthday and was hoping for a kind of fancy brunch. I expected the food and service to be excellent; they were mediocre, at best. We were seated quickly, but the person seating us just deposited us at our table and walked off while I was asking her a question. No one came to take our drink orders or even drop off water for awhile, so we started on the buffet. There were quite a bit of sweet items (pastries, fruit, waffles). There was a limited # of savory items. They did have an omelette station with a cook. I was initally impressed at how quickly she prepared my omelette, but then got partway through eating it and realized that the inside was uncooked and runny. Someone finally did come by and take our drink orders, but noone throughout the entire meal explained to us that there was another section with dessert items (which I would have substituted for some of the other sweet items) on the other side of the room (it wasn't next to the rest of the buffet). I actually apologized to my husband for bringing him here for his birthday because I had wanted to plan such a nice day for him. We both agreed that there are too many good, less expensive restaurants in Houston with better service to come here again. The only good thing I can say is that the valets were extremely polite.

MY REVIEW: We've eaten at Quattro for Easter Brunch the past three years. It's very expensive ($50-60) per person, but well worth it. The newest addition this year was a sushi bar. There were four carving stations -- ham, lamb, chicken, prime rib. There was also a blini station, risotto station, waffle station, and omelet station. The appetizer table had everything from cavier to fresh oysters to brie to pate. I didn't count, but there must have been at least 20 desserts, including a Bananas Foster station.
Highlights -- Scalloped potatoes, macaroni and cheese from the Children's Buffet table, ham, crawfish risotto, creme brulee, chocolate covered strawberries, fruit dip, strawberry blintzes
Outstanding service -- They serve complimentary mimosas, but were happy to make me a bellini. I asked if the Easter Bunny was there this year. The hostess made a point of bringing him to our table. Our daughter had as much time with him as she wanted and we got several good pictures.
Problems -- No diaper changing station in the men's room. They were very busy, so we had about a 15 minute wait for valet to bring the car.

MY REVIEW: I had heard that this was the "best" restaurant downtown so we decided to take some guests there for lunch. It was the worst dining experience I have ever had. Our waiter came to the table took our orders and left everyone that wanted the pasta bar a card to choose what they wanted and said that he would be back to complete the order. We didn't see him again until after the meal was over. We had to get up and take the cards to the pasta bar. Sat for 30 minutes and then had to flag someone down and ask if the waiter was going to bring the dishes to the people that ordered them. I ordered the cobb salad and it had no taste at all, it was the most bland salad I've ever had. When the waiter came by to ask us if we wanted dessert we expressed how unhappy we were and he basically said "we are extremely busy and I'm doing the best that I can". There were several empty tables in the restaurant so I'm not sure what he meant by being extremely busy. His best wouldn't be suitable for a job at M*cDonalds in my opinion. He wasn't able to complete an order let alone provide the excellent service one would expect. I will never go back or recommend this restaurant to anyone.

MY REVIEW: We occasionally go to Quattro for a special lunch as it is near our office. I agree with all the diners that the portions are quite small but that the quality is usually good and the service efficient. However I want to make a point about the iced tea. It is very nice - a special flavored tea - but it is $4.50 per glass. Does that seem unreasonable to anyone else? Honestly I could go $2.50 per glass but literally it just water with a tea bag (or loose tea), plus you have to ask for lemons as they are not brought with the tea.

MY REVIEW: Girl's night out last week. My sister-in-law, Tonisha, and I got dressed up and devoured some of the best steak in town. I hate to use the word devour; however, the meat was so tender that I could cut the steak with a butter knife!
This place is a little expensive, but it is the Four Seasons after all. You are getting good service in a nice environment, and first-rate food. I recommend it very much!

MY REVIEW: First visit for our first wedding anniversary.
Entrees sizes were small to average, reasonably priced. However, $3.50 for a 10oz bottle of coke (no refills)/$6 for five bites of spinach, $7.50 for slice of cake (more like a very petite muffin).
Decor/ambiance was nice, but a little stiff.
Waitstaff had no personality, but were efficient.
Overall, okay experience; however, nothing about the experience calls us to come back ("been there, done that" type experience). Houston has a plethora of upscale restaurants with more to offer with a much more pleasant experience.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I went here for our 1st Anniversary dinner, after I had heard how great it was. I would say the overall experience was good, but not great. The lowdown:
-Entrees (specifically for us, lamb, and strip sirloin) were pretty good, extremely large portions
-Side dishes of vegetables ( as well as the sauces), which WERE delicious, were very very small
-Waitstaff was polite and attentive
-We were unfortunatly seated right behind the waitstaff station, so that's where they lingered, typed in orders, etc.. I felt like we couldn't have a private conversation. (It's a booth next to the windows, which is nice)
-They comped us a lovely plate of truffles and chocolate dipped strawberries w/ "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate on it for desert. That was very nice.
-I saved enough food on my plate for at least 2 servings of leftovers. When I got home and opened the box........... there was only meat- nothing else! He had tossed out the delicious veggies and lemon garlic sauce. Why???! I have no idea. That was a little irritating. Nothing to eat the slab of lamb with.
I'm glad we went, but don't really feel the need to go back. FYI, for one apetizer, 2 entrees and 2-3 glasses of wine, bill came to $90 before tip. :)

MY REVIEW: We celebrated our anniversary here and arrived with high hopes for a wonderful evening; we weren't disappointed. We had a first rate evening from start to finish. We've always celebrated our anniversary by going to a really special restaurant and this can be a gamble on the 4th as it seems that the "A-team" leaves town resulting in a mediocre experience. Not so at Quattro. The atmosphere was elegant; all waitstaff were perfectly trained and attentive. Every person that we encountered was friendly and helpful. The martinis were silky smooth and very large. Very addictive bread basket with artisan quality selections The entrees were breathtaking. My husband enjoyed the best filet he has EVER had and he's been through a few. I had a tuna carpaccio appetizer. Lovely presentation; paper thin and very fresh. Very nice arugula salad with peaches. Seafood Risotto was perfect with tenderly cooked seafood- not the usual rubbery stuff you find elsewhere. Yum! Amazing desserts and coffee that you dream about. Pecan pie with banana ice cream was a perfect complement and we want the recipe.
We had a perfect evening but can't understand previous complaints of not enough to eat. We love to eat and found the servings to be more than generous. It's quality food, a quality experience and we couldn't have enjoyed our evening more.

MY REVIEW: FANTASTIC!!!
That is all I ahave to say. The food is great, the service is wonderful, and the decor of the restaurant is phenonenal!!
We come here every week or so, simpky because we can't get enough. I wouldn't expect perfection from the Four Seasons, and you will only get that at Quattro.

MY REVIEW: We dined at the Quattro at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown in March. Here are a few highlights of our disappointing dinner:
-We ordered a bottle of red wine and were informed by the waiter very shortly that the wine that we had ordered was out and they have a similar bottle which is $10 more. It had happened at other fine dining restaurants and we were charged at the price that we ordered.
-Before the wine was served, we were asked twice to order for dinner.
-Waiters do not know how to serve wine: the first glass for taste was poured half full, did not wipe off the bottle after each pour, and wine was dripping down on the bottle.
-I ordered the special, Florida pompano served with snow peas and carrots and a sauce that I do not remember the name. There was ONE piece of snow pea, TWO small sticks of carrot, THREE small pieces of potato and a few slices of mushroom. The fish was lukewarm. On the whole, portion was incredibly small.
-My husband had lamb. The eggplant (we think it is)wrapped with a piece of cucumber in cup shape was stone cold.
-I ordered strawberry shortcake for dessert. Portion was again small too.
-The best course for the entire meal is coffee, fresh and hot.
So much for Quattro. There are plenty of good restaurants in Houston that can offer good service, sufficient inventory of wine, and reasonable portion of food.

MY REVIEW: The food is always great. Tim Keating has some wonderful items on the menu. The mussels and truffled fries are the best. No matter what I order for my entree I always order the truffled fries as an appetizer and none of my guests have ever been disappointed.
