MY REVIEW: I tried their cakes @ an open house (butler's courtyards) and to me the cakes (three different kinds) were dry and the frosting did nothing but make me reach for my punch. I tried to ask questions, and all i would get was on word short responses with no personality or friendliness. after reading the other responses about customer service...i can believe them. i will not be using them for my wedding.

MY REVIEW: Great cakes, but horrible customer service. My fiance ordered a surprise birthday cake for me here, since we and all our friends in the Pearland area go to the Cake Lady for cakes. Well... she had to pay in advance for the cake (no big deal)... but after driving 15 miles back home, she received a call stating that they had made a mistake and undercharged her and she would need to pay the difference before they would make the cake. She asked if she could just pay the difference when she picked up the cake, but they said no... their policy is pay in full before. When I found out that my fiance went out of her way back and paid for the difference in price which was THEIR fault, I almost came unglued!
So never again are we going to the cake lady. I now recommend J*ulie's cakes in Missour City... better customer service and way better cakes!

MY REVIEW: Staff is not very friendly, although cake is good. White almond is much better than chocolate.

MY REVIEW: For 2 or 3 years now I've been eating their scrumptious white almond cake. However the last three cakes I've bought had an "off" taste. Kinda reminds me of mold, but yet I know the cake is fresh so that can't be it. I've just today written the bakery a letter advising them of my experiences and asking if they changed their recipe in any way. That great almond taste that used to be there isn't there anymore so perhaps they switched to an inferior almond extract. I'm hoping they'll change the flavor back to the way it was.
I will say that the sheet cake I ordered for my daughter's birthday was the most impressive cake I had ever seen. But I was a bit embarrassed when we actually began eating the cake.

MY REVIEW: My daughters wedding cake was ordered six months in advance from another bakery. On her wedding day when the cakes arrived we could not believe our eyes, they were awful, nothing like we ordered. Rose, from the Cake Lady Bakery, came to the banquet center and redecorated both the wedding cake and the grooms cake. She made them absolutly picture perfect. This lady did not have to go out of her way the way that she did, but she saved the wedding and my daughter a lot of tears. We will never order cakes from anywhere else.

MY REVIEW: I buy all my birthday cake from the Cake Lady. I have never had a bad one. They can do just about any kind of art work on top. They coppied my sons birthday card design better than I ever imagined. I'm sorry to say that I do not like their cookies. The peanut butter doesn't taste like it has enough peanut butter. I not crazy about their sugar or oatmeal cookies either.

MY REVIEW: The Cake Lady was Amazing! They sat down with my husband and I and made us feel comfortable. We where needing a small but beautiful wedding cake for a very small but intimate reception. They did it! It was a BEAUTIFUL & DELICIOUS cake....and the best part was the price! They even helped us with having custom napkins made for the wedding. It was more than excellent value and the fact that they offered so many different flavors and fillings was just wonderful, she gave us taste samples of everything and was just so helpful for even the low budgeters like ourselves. It was a 3-layer cake custom colored to my bouquet, & filled with a delicious Bavarian cream, they put a lot of love and care in to their work and it showed. I am about to have them do a huge sheet cake for 70 pp for our Adoption Party, I will ALWAYS use The Cake Lady for any event, not worth the risk of going to a grocery store bakery. Here you know it is fresh and delicious. Make a point to stop in and try something, and the store is great for gifts as well.

MY REVIEW: We've used the Cake Lady for every major event: holidays, graduations, birthdays, etc... She makes the best cakes ever! (She does even does better than home made from scratch.) The money is well spent.

MY REVIEW: This is the best place for cakes ever! They have really cute cookies too. They are closed Mondays, so you better hurry and order early! The icing is to die for. They will make nearly anything you ask. The Cake Lady also has a little gift store attached with cute items. Always have cute holiday/seasonal items too. We have been getting cakes with Rose before she opened her shop!
