MY REVIEW: I just had some fruit kolaches from here (cherry, peach, lemon) and they were excellent. Very good "kolache quality" dough/bread and a lot of fruit filling. The most fruit filling I've ever had in a kolache, in fact. I hadn't been here in a couple of years, and I think they must have improved their recipe and/or quality control since my previous visits. I'd have rated it mediocre to poor a couple of years ago (personnel changes seemed to cause a decline). Today, though, it was excellent. I guess I'll have to see how their new, improved recipe rates against M*orning's Kolaches in the categories of: bacon and cheese and sausage, cheese and jalepeno.

MY REVIEW: I go in a lot........ they are the best and blow the kolache fac*tory out of the water........ i read in the paper that they won 1st place at a national kolache festival (whatever that is) for their spicey sausage and cheese. I will be in on Saturday to see for myself........ stay tuned :)

MY REVIEW: Olde Towne Kolaches have the BEST kolaches. All my co-workers beg me to bring kolaches in at least once a week. My co-workers favorite is poppyseed & bacon and cheese. My favorite are cherry & apple strudel. The owner is very helpful and willing to please every customer that walks in the door. Also, for lunch - try the sandwiches. Served from the same kolache bread....tuna is my favorite! I visit the Memorial location. Also, a big plus....the drive thru!

MY REVIEW: I have not vitisted - I am of Czech descent and grew up eating my grandmother's Kolaches - the traditional kind - fruit filled wedding pastries. Grammy made dozens and was considered the premier kolache baker in the county. Wht is this sausage thing?

MY REVIEW: iN THIS TOWN, kOLACHES APPEAR TO BE SYNONYMOUS WITH SAUSAGE ROLLS. HAVING GROWN UP IN A CZECH FAMILY WHOSE GRADFATHER WAS A BAKER, I know WHAT KOLACHES ARE. FRUIT AND CHEESE ARE THE BEST, AND SAUSAGE AND EGGS ARE JUST A MODERN TWIST. THIS PLACE SERVES MAINLY THE MEAT KIND AND ARE OK. VERY FEW VARIETIES OF TRUE (FRUIT) KOLACHES. I DON'T THINK I'LL GO BACK HERE AGAIN

MY REVIEW: Up the street from my house. Owner is very sociable, however, I feel the kolaches are 90% dough, 10% filling. I guess I am more accustomed to actually finding more than a half teaspon chicken and cheese in my chicken and cheese kolaches. But it serves the purpose of something quick to eat on the way to work

MY REVIEW: I drive out of my way to this fantastic kolache shop!! The atmosphere is very pleasant -- kind of like an rustic country store -- and the kolaches beat all I've ever had! The dough is slightly sweet. This is the only place that has the scrumptious fruit kolaches that I remember from my childhood. I keep begging them to open one closer to me. Maybe I should do that myself!!! Worth the drive, by all means!!!

MY REVIEW: The best kolaches in town - bar none! Their spicy sausage and cheese kolaches are great and gigantic. Their sticky buns are also hugh and full of nuts. I don't go anywhere else for kolaches.

MY REVIEW: After reading the last review, I decided to check out Olde Towne Kolaches. It was well worth the drive out Westheimer. Their dough is light, tender and slightly sweet and the kolaches are large. The cream cheese filling is better than any I have had before. Their house-blend coffee was even fresh and very good. That is unusual for kolache shops.
There were also lots of other pastries which I wish I could have tried including strudels made with cream cheese, appricots, cherries or apples. They looked great! This place defintely deserves repeat visits.
The only downside is there are no tables for eating on-site.

MY REVIEW: I'm a big fan of kolaches in general so I think it's safe to say I have a well rounded idea of what's good and what isn't. Olde Towne Kolaches (all locations) beats them all! They not only have great sausage & cheese but they also have great fruit kolaches and cinnamon rolls. Their jalapeno sausage & cheese is to die for and huge! I think the secret to their unique taste and quality is the bread dough. It melts in your mouth and has a slightly sweet flavor that really compliments the rest of the ingredients. If I could, I'd open one of my own! What would it take???
