MY REVIEW: My wife and I met another couple to watch one of their many TV's for a rival College Football game and to have lunch. First of all the food was terrible. we shared two appetizers amongst us. The pot stickers wern't warm and probably something they picked up next door at Costco and didn't leave in the microwave long enough. At halftime we orders lunch. The hamburgers my wife and I had also were very bland and also were probably picked up in the frozen food counter at Costco. All around the food was very disapointing. To make the experience worse, while sporting our teams colors, one of the waiters would contunue to walk by and spurt off demeaning words and insults in regards to our team. All four of our party found this to be in very poor taste. All I can say is if you want to get together with some friends and have good food and place to watch a sporting event, this is not a good choice. If you want to go get drunk, eat frozen food and have the wait staff belittle your favorite team, this is the place for you.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I used to frequent the location on Westhiemer quite often when we were dating. And it was nothing but spectacular. So when we found out that there was a location going in at 249, we were estatic about it. Little did we know. The food was horrible. The chips and queso, very nasty. The queso looked as if it had been sitting out all day long and was clumpy. My husband ordered what he thought was a club sandwich, and it was clearly not one. Served hot?? and nothing like a club. My philly cheese steak was tough and just not good at all. We will not be back to this location. I guess we should have figured out it was not good since there was only 2 other people in there on a Saturday afternoon.

MY REVIEW: The Fox and Hound is owned by the same corporation that owns Bailey's, a nationwide English pub chain. As with most corporate restaurants, don't expect personality, character, or reasonable prices.

We went there once and were thoroughly disappointed. The service was inexcusable. Plates of food were left on tables for hours; no one bothered to come by and pick them up. Servers were uninterested and frequently absent. A member of our party even had to chase down a bartender to get his credit card back -- and had it shoved across the bar at him with no explanation or apology. The drinks were overpriced and watered-down; the food was mediocre at best.

I agree with the previous reviewer -- the Fox and Hound is nothing more than an overpriced sports bar with a bad attitude.

MY REVIEW: I have their Fish n Chips each time, have never eaten any other item there though I would expect it to be good. For $7.79 you get 50% to 100% more fish than any other place that serves Fish and Chips, and I have eaten in most. Fox and Hound and Ba*ker Street Pub have the best Fish n Chips I have found. It is a toss up on taste but not on quantity, that edge goes to Fox and Hounds. I will keep going back when I am in the mood for F&C.

Very friendly and outgoing staff. Service is very prompt as is the food getting to your table piping hot. Easy in and out with large parking lot. Also a sports bar for those wishing to watch games.

MY REVIEW: My friends and I have been frequenting this location for years for Tuesday night pint night. Over time the service has slowly gotten worse and worse. Even on slower nights the service is mediocre at best . Also, the beer menu has changed, and not for the better. We used to love this place because they had a selecton that other places didn't have, but now all of our favorites have been removed from the menu. And please, bring back the BBQ chicken potato skins!!!

MY REVIEW: My family and neighbors decided to go her for dinner one night during the week. When you first go in it is very impressive with all the tv's everywhere and decent looking waitresses. It went downhill from there. We ordered our drinks, (several soft drinks, teas, margaritas and a draft beer. The waitress walked by several times and we finally had to ask her about our drinks. She said, "I'll go get them as soon as I can". The place was maybe 1/4 full at about 4-5pm on a Wednesday. Another few minutes went by and she returned with the drinks. We ordered 7 drinks, 2 were wrong. She acted as if I was bothering her to return them. Then came the food. I had ordered an appetizer of the chili cheese fries and some chicken fingers. When she brought them the fries were in a bowl the size of a breakfast cereal bowl which we all thought was very small for the price that charged for them. Things got worse once we tasted them. They were soggy and tasted/looked as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp at the local convenience store for hours. I flagged the waitress down again and asked her to return them to the kitchen, we did not want them due to their condition. The waitress told me that she would call a manager for me. I told her I didn't need to talk to the manager but she insisted saying she isn't allowed to return food or remove items from the bill, only the manager could do so. I said ok fine. Here comes the manager. He wants to know what the problem is with the food and we all tell him and show him. He reluctantly takes them with him as he leaves and removes it from the bill. We got our food, mostly burgers, fries and such and the burgers were really good. Every thing else the adults had ordered was mediocre at best. We all agreed after we left that the atmostphere was great but the food and service left a lot to be desired. I have been reading this site for years and this is the first time I felt so strongly about a negative experience in a restaurant to type up a review.

MY REVIEW: Out of all of the sports bars on this side of town, this is the best. I used to live in the Galleria area and I frequented S*am's Boat/Place all the time. But the S*ms on this side of town just does not have the same quality of food as the one on Richmond....I tried many others on this end of town and I have to say this place is clean, always greeted at the door, servers are accommodating, place is not too smokey and the food is much better than any of the other bars in the area. There are plenty of places to sit and watch whatever game or multiple games if need be.

Yes prices are higher than others, but this is a chain folks. I am not saying it is right, but most nice sports bars are commanding that price on high traffic days.

Recommenations: Get the pizza appatizer! If you like thin crispy crust, you will love this! Nachoes are the best! Plenty of cheese and black beans, and enough for 4-6 people. My husband loved the philly cheese steak and I have to say the wedge salad is my faorite at steak restaurants, and here it is enough to satisfy my craving without paying the steakhouse price.

Overall: better place to go if you really want good bar food and a upscale atmosphere....cheep beer patrions need not try!

MY REVIEW: I love FOx and Hound in College Station and used to frequent it, but I have to say the food at this location is disappointing! The sports atmosphere is great though. Good place to watch multiple games, especially in the back side room. Beer is a little hig, but not too bad. They have $2 drafts on Tues.

MY REVIEW: Overpriced. Ordered a Fuller's ESB and was charged $8.00! Go to any REAL English pub in Houston and get it for $4.50. Very fake pub, so many tv's it's real just an overpriced sports bar, no pub feel at all.

MY REVIEW: I LOVE their food!! The first one I tried was in Tucson AZ. It was great!! We ate there almost every week!! When I moved to Houston the 1st thing I looked to find was a Fox & Hound. Imagine my delight when I found one! I immediatly went there with my husband and parents to expose to them the wonderful food. They loved it and now we are taking the rest of the family (all 17 of them) to there. It reminds me ALOT of a tavern or pub in London or Ireland. It has alot of sandwiches and also formal dinners.. And it is all reconizable food. There is brisket with 6 different bar-be-que sauces for you to choose from for you die hard bar-b-quers.. Philly cheesesteaks, awesome fries, there is a way to mkae your own pizzas.. steaks.. And to the other person who wrote the previous review.. IT IS A SMOKEHOUSE.. it says it right on the name of the establishment. so therefor no non smoking.. DUH.. It is a two layer establishment. THere are tv's in everyroom. and every room has different shows and music in them.. There is pool almost in every room excluding the barroom. (and yes there is tv even in the bathrooms!!) There is also a cigaar room with leather couches facing the wall of tv's for those of you liking that habit.. My review AWESOME!!!
