MY REVIEW: I would have to say this is one of Houston's best kept secrets. It's definitely not for the decor orientated, but rather those who want some good greasy comfort food. I've been here a couple times and I intend on making it more. The first time I went I had one of their burgers. Although I wasn't totally blown away, it was still good and it wasn't a frozen patty cooked on a grill. It was the real-deal homemade patty. The portion size is great which always makes me eat more than I should. I also tried some of the hummus, which was great! My last visit I opted for the philly cheesesteak sandwich at fries. It was huge! My favorite part about it was the white american cheese! Being I'm a northerner, I find that rare in Houston. The price was just under $7, making it even better. The owner and the rest of the staff is super friendly, making it a point to stop by your table and check on you. I'm definitely turning into a regular at this place!

MY REVIEW: My friends from work go here every once in a while to get a Gyro. They kept telling me how wonderful they were, so today I decided to try one since they were going for lunch. I haven't had a Gyro in a really long time and it was really good, they put lots of meat on it and the sauce is good. I got a lot of fries with my order that I couldn't eat all of, because they Gyro was so big. It's a good place to eat and they price is right 5.99, or you can sub. the fries for a greek salad for 1.50. I will definetly be back!

MY REVIEW: A friend and I stopped by a couple of Saturdays ago. We got the greek food. After we sat down, we noticed that all adults were eating the greek food and the kids had burgers.
This used to be a T*aco Bell and it still looks like one.
It is a small place and very casual. The food is good. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

MY REVIEW: I visit Roadster too much, but the food is just that good, folks! Nick's burgers put J*ax Grill and Bellaire B*roiler Burger to shame! Don't to add a chocolate shake to go with that juicy burger! I only eat the hamburgers when I'm having a bad day, which is not too often. I'm usually eating from Nick's Greek menu. Every Greek item is grrreeeaaat! I usually recommend the Gyro sandwich and substitute a small Greek salad for Nick's fabulous fries. The Greek salad is very good and fresh. Very good Greek salad dressing! Every now and then I'll order the regular Gyro sandwich with the fries. The pastitsio and mousaka, and the spaghetti with Greek meatballs are excellent! Put this restaurant near the top of your list. It is very busy at lunch time and dinner. Enjoy!

MY REVIEW: Long on great food! Chicken Souvlaki Salad - Doubt that I spelled that right, but just try it. Perfectly grilled chicken atop fresh geek salad with Feta, onion, green peppers, and tomato. The dressing is wonderful, the salad is sooo fresh. Stop ordering those hamburgers, they are bad for you. All the other greek things are great too. Gyro salad, veggie plate . . . Owner always says "make yourself at home" when he takes your order. Great place for lunch. Not too crowded yet, but watch out it's getting better every day. I hope he expands!
OK, OK, the place is an old Taco B*ell painted BLUE with a silver(?) interior, but once you try the food, you will forget about all that. If it bothers you, get takeout!

MY REVIEW: This place had 3 owners, the first one made great burgers a typical burger joint. The second one, she kept the great burgers and added a Lebanese flair to the menu with shawarma, humus and tabouli, it was great. The third one IS NOT keeping up with the good burger, they're awful, but he did add a Greek flair to the restaurant with souvlaki and such. Maybe he should make it a Greek place and he'll do better. Overall, it's just not what it used to be. I probably will not go back.

MY REVIEW: The hamburgers have been inconsistent when I have ordered them. When they were good, they were very very good; when they were bad....well you know the schitck. When I asked about the difference, I was told that the ones that I thought were good,( big, juicy, fresh, likely hand formed, absolutely delicious) were when they ran out of the regular meat and bought fresh from somewhere local. The ones that I did not care for hard, preformed, gray, dry, were supposedly thier regular meat supply.
The hard preformed burgers.....well any other burger or fast food joint could beat those. I do hope they make the "good" ones the regular deal. They were to die for. I want this place to be that neighborhood spot that I just "have to" visit. It is clearly within thier potential.

MY REVIEW: Was my first visit, the atmosphere reminded me of F*uddruckers but less crowded. I had a cheese burger and there was nothing special about it. Their french fries, were plain, dry, and did not have much of a taste. As for the included ketchup, it was served ice cold, very disgusting. Overall this place did appeal to me and I would probobly not eat there again.

MY REVIEW: Roadster's is one of the best hamburger places around. I've been going there for 3-1/2 years and through 3 owners and the burgers have always been great. The current owner, Nick (who's been there for probably a year and a half), has brought in greek food - gyros, beef or chicken souvlaki salads or pita sandwiches - that provides a great alternative. As a matter of fact, I eat those about as often as I get the burgers. Plus, Nick and his staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome - he's buddies with my son. I highly recommend the souvlaki.

MY REVIEW: Wow! Fantastic Food! My husband had the double meat hamburger with a side of onion rings. He said they both were delicious. I had the beef souvlaki and salad and I couldn't believe the big plate they brought out! I was expecting much less for what we paid. Great value and great food. I will recommend this restaurant to all. We plan on going back this weekend and we live in Baytown TX!

MY REVIEW: After reading the reviews on this restaurant, I could not wait for the opportunity to visit this restaurant. I must say, this facility is over rated. There was nothing special about my burger. The meat was larger than most burger shops, however - there was no taste to the meat, except a steamed grill taste. My burger meat had a gray tone and looked unappealing, not to mentioned the order was wrong. I order a Cheeseburger - and when the order arrived - the person deliving my meal - said I order a Roadster. Whatever - it basically ended up "you get what you are served". I believe L*ankford's Grocery still has the best burger for now.

MY REVIEW: Just went to the Roadster after reading the reviews here. Food was excellent and so was the value. Went at about 5PM on a Sat and was the only one there but enjoyed the friendly staff while downing my burger and fries.
The burgers do rank right up there with some of the best burgers in town!

MY REVIEW: this place is truly the best hidden secret for all tastes. They were on Marvin Zindler again. I had the whole fried fish with shrimp when I was there with my family and it was to die for; I was eating it like I never had food before. The humus is the best and the owner is still the nicest woman I ever met. The rumors that they are selling are not true. they are just rumors. Go there, you won't regret it. Actually you'll be missing out too much if you don't. Also, they serve breakfast. A+++

MY REVIEW: Oh my GOSH!! This burger place is sooooo good!! Could the fries be any better...No, The fat onion rings are amazing. Every time I get a burger it is just as good as I remember it. I always get the mushroom swiss burger and I have got to try something else but I covet the burgers! I am alos so pleased to see they have a high protein menu ( for atkins or low carb dieters). What a good idea!
Everyone I take to the Roadster loves it, loves, loves it. And the wait staff are all halarious. There is a cute little girl who helps out clearing and serving and she is so plesant and sweet.
DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE. Ignore the color of the building, at least it's easy to spot.
Haven't tried the Shwarma or hot beef hoagie but will report again when I do. Only criticsm is the tea is bad, cloudy and instant tasting but I just know the Roadsters will fix this soon. Again, if you miss this place, you are missing out. And they even have drive through!!!

MY REVIEW: The BEST BURGER in town. Juicy and meaty. Great flavor to the meat. If you have any room left, the malts are great. Reminds me of the old days. Have tried the chicken finger basket and the gravy is great and just enough breading. Good fries and two excellent choices of onion rings (thin sliced red onions and the regular thick cut). Can go a little easier on the mustard for my taste.

MY REVIEW: The Roadster Grill is the best place ever! If you haven't tried the homemade onion rings, handformed hamburgers served hot and juicy, or the thick shakes and malts, you need to go there today! It's well worth the drive! Try it today!

MY REVIEW: I still like the burgers, but I got around to trying the catfish basket...worst I've ever had. The filets were very thin, cooked in very old oil; they were very dark, the color of a football, a used football, and very greasy. It could've been battered and fried lard for all I could tell. I try to watch fat intake very carefully and it took my system a couple of days to get back to normal.

MY REVIEW: I have been a couple of times, based on the reviews here. The hamburgers are awesome! For 15 years I've considered [another burger place] the classic hamburger. It's a destination burger place, I guess you could call it. There are times you need a sloppy, classic hamburger. Roadster is now the classic hamburger place for me.

MY REVIEW: Since I am always searching for the perfect burger, I had to try this place after reading the previous reviews. From the outside it looks like a fastfood joint (I think the building used to be a [mexican fastfood] or something similar) but it is definitely worth trying. Their burgers are very good. The only thing I would change is not shredding the lettuce but that is my personal preference.
For onion ring fanciers they offer both the thick cut hand-breaded variety and "onion straws" which are thinly cut strips of red onions. Since I prefer my onion rings thin, I was very pleased to see they serve both. One thing to note, however, is they are closed on Sundays.

MY REVIEW: At last, a decent burger joint within convenient driving distance of my home. I wasn't that impressed on my first visit but this place has grown on me with subsequent visits (or, rather, the burgers have grown on me). As a burger aficionado, I do not go to a burger joint for wide-screen tv, specially baked buns, "funky decor," or table service. This place does a lot of things right. To start with: hand-formed thick patties made from certified Angus (so they claim).
There is nothing special about the fixin's on the burgers, however; the fries are only average, the onion rings better than average, tho not great; the buns are suspiciously pale colored, but I'll give them that; at least I haven't had a stale bun yet.
But the overall effect of eating one of these burgers is very satisfying.
After reading on the menu that the Mee Maw Slaw Burger is "Roadster's Best" my mouth salivated just thinking about it and on my last visit I gave it a try. I was a bit underwhelmed. A small portion of slaw is spread on top of a burger that also has all the other regular fixins. Tho the slaw is definitely better than that cabbage + paste you get at KFC or LJS, it's just too many flavors for my taste buds to deal with. The hamburger is one of the greatest culinary inventions of all time, but it is a simple food that doesn't benefit from the addition of "everything but the kitchen sink" and when done right doesn't need a bunch of extras. Perhaps next time I'll ask them to leave some of the regular fixins off and give me more slaw.
I'm working my way thru the menu. If the catfish basket and roadkill burger meet my expectations, I may consider moving even closer so I can visit more often.

MY REVIEW: Best down home burgers period. Better than [other neighborhood places]. Good onion rings and fries. Several other menu items I haven't tried yet but will (meat loaf, catfish basket, shrimp basket, etc.). The meat is hand formed and well cooked, not over cooked and the buns are buttered and grilled. Toppings of your choice are fresh. Atomosphere - the place is clean but small with typical diner chairs and tables. The people who work there are very helpful and pleasant.
