MY REVIEW: The food is always consistent and good. Service may be bad, especially from the men and especially when the owner is absent, but the lady with the glasses is the best. I've eaten here so often she knows what I usually order. Spring rolls, ga xoi mo xoi chien (roasted cornish hen w/ fried sticky rice), bun thit nuong cha gio (vermicelli w/ chargrilled pork and egg rolls), and the fish are awesome. The floor is slippery so be careful. To minimize smelling like the food, on weekends go early around 6 before all the tables get cookin' with the sizzling plates.

MY REVIEW: Ohhh...Lord have mercy...
Strong points: Food was awesome! Price was cheap and affordable!
Weak points:
When we first walked in, I'd already noticed how hot and stuffy it was. I haven't been here in awhile, but, I'd always remembered it with air-conditioning. No vents for the dishes that you cook at your table either, so it was a plethora of rancid food smells that hits you like a rock upside your head. Our seater was an unsmiling, sour man (I think he was part of management, perhaps one of the owners, 'cuz he looks like the equally sour dude tending the register) who didn't look like he gave a flyin' rat's patootie about any darn thing, or any darn one. The floor was extremely slippery and one of my galfriends had to actually hold my arm to brace herself from falling as we walked to our table.
One point of redemption was that our server (forgot his name) was very patient, soft-spoken and tried his best to accomodate us. I'll give them that one.
Our drinks came, and the busboy/server (not our original server), who looked like a thug-wannabe, placed them at the end of the table and walked away without a smile, a nod, or a word. I had to stand up, reach over and pass everyone their drinks. Unbelievable.
Our food came quickly, and like I said, the food was great and we cleaned up!
Midway through our meals, the stifling heat became intolerable, and since there were no vents or discernable A.C., the air was stagnant and stale, and we could hardly breathe.
Finally, it was time to leave. The price for 7 people was an awesome $80...you can't beat that...but, you also get what you pay for in service.
Oops...forgot to mention. One of us decided to address the owner (at the cash register) about how slippery the floors are and how dangerous it was. My man, didn't even look at him, up-nodded once and grunted, "Hmmph..." Then, pretended that the customer standing in front of him, speaking to him didn't exist.
Like, wow.
Folks...If you want good food, this is definitely the place to be. If you want good service *snicker*, fuggedaboudit.
Will I come back...abso-friggin'-lutely NOT! There are too many other excellent Vietnamese restaurants (where they value their customers) in Houston to patronize than this pathetic excuse of a service-oriented establishment.
Take your money elsewhere...don't say I didn't warn you!

MY REVIEW: I love this place. It's absolutely amazing. It's truly is real Vietnamese food. My husband, Lamont's father is from Vietnam. So, we go there twice a year, and feast on their food. This place serves it up old-school!
The seven-course meal was so amazing that I stuck around an extra two hours during lunch and ate a second on! I love the fish, just incredible. Lamont, true to his roots, ate the Beef Noodle Soup. Once again, incredible.
I recommend this place to anyone! Anyone, Anyone, Anyone! Simply the best Vietnamse place outside of Vietnam and Orange County, California! Woo-hoo!!!!

MY REVIEW: Seven Course Beef is undeniably renowned. Oven-Baked Fish is remarkably delicious. Pan-fried Beef/Shrimp/Squid is also excellent. All these to-be-warped-in-thin-rice-paper dishes are moderately priced.
Services are OK, except for the attitude shown on the owner's and his brother's faces. They DO look like they don't enjoy their work and appreciate our business.

MY REVIEW: My family has been going here for years for their famous 7 courses of beef. I like to take my friends here who are visiting from out of town and they always compliment on the food... Also try the beef/shrimp dish that you can cook at the table. And there is always leftovers to take home...

MY REVIEW: The 7 beef course is WONDERFUL, and it's enough for 2 people! The service has been okay lately, depends on who you get... but the bossman is very accomodating. If you get that very tall man, he's not very friendly, don't think I've seen him smile in the last 10 years I've been going there. However, the desserts are yummy and their chicken dishes are GREAT!

MY REVIEW: Been here many times and always have to wait sometimes 1/2 hour for a table. Since I expect it, I am not complaining about it. The 7 course beef is excellent. we always have enough to make another meal the next day. Even last time when we had 3 people dining, there was still food to go.
If you go there, go hungry and don't be on a schedule that will rush you in or out because it will not happen. The owner is still waiting tables so DO expect your order will be correct.

MY REVIEW: The 7 beef dish was ok, but it's enough food to feed two people, at least!...
Waiter spilled fire on the floor and tried to pick it up with his bare hands...tsk tsk

MY REVIEW: Hours: 11:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M.
Brief Description: Years ago, we went to this restaurant to rendezvous with some friends who were strict vegetarians. However, as we started to take a closer look at the menu, we realized we had to have the wrong place because all the specialties were beef dishes!
In Vietnamese cuisine, there are restaurants that specialize in beef, served various ways in several courses. Referred to as seven course beef restaurants, or Bo 7 Mon ( or, Nha Hang Bo 7 Mon), there are only a few in Houston. I've been back several times, and the food has always been good, here. Be sure to come hungry as the 7 course dinner is a lot of food. Price is around $10.00 per person. Here are some typical beef dishes: grilled beef sausage, meatballs, Pho, thinly sliced and grilled beef, spring rolls.
