MY REVIEW: The experience seemed to go from bad to worse! First we were given a dirty table had to move to another. Staff was inexperienced! Had to ask and wait and sometimes ask again for everything. Food was just ok. Margaritas were very sweet and did not seem to have much alcohol. Empty glasses, dishes never removed from the table... we started stacking them on a nearby table. Place was not busy like two other tables. Place was extremely quite with no music playing... just added to the bad atmosphere! When it came time to pay the bill it took them over 20 minutes just to run the credit cards. Something to do with having to restart the computer... who cares! We will never go back!

MY REVIEW: We used to visit the Kingsland location about once per week. My kids LOVED to go there and we visited very often, an average of once a month for about 5 years. We visited so often, in fact, that one of the waiters suggested to me once, "Why don't you try something DIFFERENT from the menu..." So, when it appeared that they moved from Kinglsand to the Grand Parkway, we waited patiently for it to open and visited there. The new place has less seating and a lot less ambiance than the other location. We ordered our "usual", but it sure didn't taste like our usual. The food just wasn't flavorful like we were accustomed to from "our" Las Rosas. The service wasn't up to par at Las Rosas, either -- very slow, especially for a Mexican restaurant. We've visited the restaurant, V*ida Loca, that has taken Las Rosas' place on Kingsland. I recommend going there. I can't judge the service time, because when we visited we were with a large group with lots of kids on Sunday afternoon, but the service was very friendly at V*ida Loca.

MY REVIEW: Today my boyfriend and I had lunch there after a doctors appt. He gave me the option of where to eat and I choose there because all the other times we've eaten there the food and service was exceptional which made paying $10.00 for a lunch plate easier to swallow. They have the best tasting fajitas I have ever eaten. Or at least they did every time before...but NOT today. Unfortunately neither the food nor service was impressive today.

My boyfriend ordered the beef enchaldas plate which he said he was happy with. I ordered of course the beef fajitas for one as I always do. I advised the waitress that I did not want rice but would prefer extra bean instead which she repearted to me twice.

We waited over 30 minutes for our food to arrive and actually watched one customer get up and walk out because all he got in the time he was there was chips and a drink.

At any rate when our did FINALLY arrive the plate was a combo of chiken and beef and it had rice instead of double the beans as I had requested. It was also without the condiments (pico, guacamole and sour creme) I called the waitress back and advised her that I did not want chicken or rice on my plate, she and took the plate back and returned very quickly with another. It was very obvious that all the kitchen did was remove the chicken. They didnt even add more beef to replace the chicken and again there was rice instead of double beans. The tortillas were stone cold and crispy on the edges which leads me to belive that they had been there probably since this morning. I asked for more but they were the same. The beef which as I stated earlier is usually the best tasting Ive ever had was over cooked, dried out and flavorless which also indicated they had most likely been sitting under the heat lamp for some time.

I asked a male busboy who the manager was and said the lady is (our waitress was) when she brought us our check I advised her of my disappointement in the food and service today. She apologized and she commented that she was the only wait staff on schedule and she had been behind all day. My boyfriend advised her that maybe she should hire some addtional employees. She advised us that she meant to mention that to the manager but that she (the manager)didnt show up for work today. When I told her that we were advised that she was the manager she said she was acting manager for the day.

As the "acting manager" for the day she didn't offer a discount or a gift card for our next visit. $23.00 is allot to pay for a lunch experience that was a complete disappointment.

As I said, every other time we have eaten there everything was exceptional so I will not allow this one negative experience to prevent my return but I can tell you that if I have this experience again it will absolutely be my last visit.

MY REVIEW: I came here once for a birthday party in 2004 and it had been pretty good. So when I was in the area last weekend with my family, we decided to stop there for lunch. We were seated promptly as there was only about 2 other tables full (warning sign!). We wait about 5 minutes, no chips, no salsa, no waitress. Finally someone comes over to take our drink orders. We ask for chips. Have you ever had to ask for chips and salsa at a Mexican place?

The menu was your typical Mexican food, except over priced. I don't mind paying money for food, but Mexican food? We order "Premium beef fajitas" for 2.

About this time we need tea refills. The dining room is empty. There is no one, except paying diners who are also all looking around.

Our food comes out and it is the smallest portion of fajitas I have ever seen. The meat is good, but it tastes no different then thousands of other fajitas I have had despite the "Premium" in the title.

Still no tea refills, even though we ask.

We finally get a tea refill and finish our meal. The table behind has has bee comp laing amongst themselves that they have not received the check yet. We also, do not even have anyone come over, even though we have our dishes stacked, our drinks empty, and we are obliviously done. My husband finally has to flag someone down, who we ask for the check and tea. We get the check, but no tea.

It took about 15 minutes for them to come back (I was seriously tempted to just walk out.) and another 15 minutes to bring us back the check.

All in all, the food on par with other Mexican places in Houston but priced like a high end Mexican place. If I wanted to pay that much I would go down Westhiemer to S*via's Enchiladas which is delicious and run by an award winning chef. There you get what you pay for, here you get less then what you pay for.

Don't go, it's not worth the annoyance!

MY REVIEW: Ordered out from this restaurant, and it was terrible. A very bad experience this time around. We ordered a beef fajita plate, and a combination fajita plate, the one that has beef, chicke, and shrimp. When we got to the house to eat our dinner, there was 5 beef fajitas in my plate..Yeah, 5! Thats it.. In the other plate there was a total of 7 fajitas, mixed. (3 beef, 4 chicken)and 2 pieces of shrimp. They also forgot to put the tortillas in the bag, and there were no beans. It was not worth 40 dollars. I called to speak to the mananger, and she was not very professional, nor helpful about it. She did let me know that they were closed, but next time we go in there, we could get an appetizer on the house. Too me, that still did not fix the problem. 40 dollars is alot of money to spend on food that wasnt worth it. She can keep her appetizer. Now I know why there is never any business there.

MY REVIEW: This place was just ok. My mom and I were seated promptly..however we were seated very near to the kitchen and apparently near the "waiter hangout" where at any given moment 2 or 3 waiters were basically standing a few feet away in front of our table watching us eat since there were hardly any customers for them to be helping....quite awkward having them there watching us. Anyways..our waitress seemed uncomfortable around customers..she would walk to our table and not say a word until either me or mom glanced up at her, then she would quietly say something. We ordered chile con queso for an appetizer and it came out fast but was somewhat cold..it also came with fried tortilla pieces but neither me nor mom liked them so we ate the queso with our chips instead. We placed our order..I got the enchilada trio and my mom got enchiladas verdes. The food came out in literally 4 minutes which was a surprise...I can't imagine how it was prepared so quickly. The food was just ok...the enchilada I enjoyed the most was the cheese. The chicken and beef were good but nothing special. My only real complaint about the food was the rice...it had a REALLY odd freezerburn taste to it. Overall this place was ok but I won't be returning.

Also, the prices on the website are incorrect...the prices are higher at the restaurant than the prices they have listed on their website.

MY REVIEW: I haven't eaten at 2 other locations and both were great, so we decided to try the new location in Katy. They weren't busy for a Friday night & we got seated right away, unfortunately the service was horrible! The wait staff never refilled our drinks, my husband literally layed his beer bottle down on the table to get someone's attention that it had been empty for 15 minutes! Then it took almost 1 hour to get our food and when we finally did it was cold. Not even cold, but not cooked at all! I ordered cheese enchiladas and the cheese was not even the slightest bit melted inside, still grated! I could understand if they were a completely new business, but they just moved from Kingsland! I could understand if they were busy, but there were empty tables and they only sent out 2 tables food in a 30 minute time span. We sent the food back and asked for our bill for the drinks. The staff did comp the drinks and offered a gift certificate for us to return, but we declined the offer. We have not been back. This was the worst restuarant experience we have ever had!!!

MY REVIEW: Chips and salsa are excellent. Veggie fajitas are the best I've ever had. Margaritas good. Chicken and beef fajitas are good. The overall impression I've had is that all the ingredients are fresh. I'm surprised that there is never a crowd - lots of competition in the area - might take a while to catch on. They've been open in this location for only a short time.

We've started coming here because it's a good location and it's not as noisy as other Mexican restaurants in the area. I've stopped going to the most popular one in Clute because it's too noisy due to poor soundproofing - I just can't stand having to shout to be heard.

I hope this place makes it - we've eaten there about 4-5 times and it has always been excellent.

MY REVIEW: Although the food is pretty darn good, it isn't consistently so. We had food delivered cold only one time(or on the verge of) but we complained and they happily and quickly fixed the problem. Love the salsa, red and green and the chips are nice and thin and fresh. Hate thick, cold, stale chips yuk. Margaritas are really yum and wow they actually put tequila in those!

My favorite is the enchiladas verde. We ate here yesterday and the food was perfect, very hot, fresh, looked great...always generous portions of pico de gallo and very very fresh!! Yup, I love a good pico. Free ice cream for the kids (or your husband) is a good marketing move. On the down side, I learned if you want NON SMOKING, you need to be a little more specific, for example, "PUT US FAR FAR FAR AWAY FROM SMOKING", followed by a point to the opposite side of the restaurant. If you don't, really good chance you'll be sitting next to the bar one table away from the puffers.

The waiters and hostesses are not very friendly and you know, I don't know, do they even talk? I'd like to see an occasional friendly smile or maybe hi how ya doin', or most people comprendo a little como esta? Come on. Efficient? Yes mostly. The bus boys, however, are usually more attentive than the waiters. Seriously. Clean restaurant for the most part (Bathrooms could and should be much cleaner.). Ambiance is good. Again, my only complaint, Hostesses and Waiters, loosen up. Make your guests feel like you actually want their business!

MY REVIEW: Visited this location on a Saturday. It was slow and empty. Yet the waitress took forever to greet us. Then when she did she wasn't even nice, never told us her name. Left, came back took our drink orders and that took another 10 miinutes. We never received chips and salsa. When I asked the waitress about it she looked annoyed that I even asked her. But others around us where getting their chips and salsa upon arriving at their table.

Needless to say we decided to leave. We didn't feel comfortable and the service was horrible.

Too bad being that it is a new location and we usually love Las Rosas on Hwy. 6.

MY REVIEW: This was our first and last visit to Las Rosas. It was prime time and pretty crowded, but I don't see that as an excuse in the resturant business. The Hornitos margarita my husband had at the bar was excellent and I had the house frozen margarita which wasn't bad. Once we were seated at a table, it was a good 15 to 20 minutes before the waiter came over to take our drink order and consiquently our food order. Some time after we placed our order, my husband was guessing at the time and I decided to check finding it to be 8:15. We talked a while longer and then my husband went to the restroom. While he was gone I started to think about the time again and checked it to find it was 30 minutes later and still NO FOOD. To sum it up...okay food and BAD/TERRIBLE service means we will NEVER go back.

MY REVIEW: When this restaurant first opened it was fantastic. We were delighted to have a good Mexican restaurant on this side of Pearland. However, more recent visits have caused us to stop going entirely. The food quality did diminish somewhat, but the service became so bad, it was nearly laughable. On one occasion, the manager apologized because the kitchen had "lost" our order. He said be patient, he'll put the order in again, and it will be worth it. Well, you guessed it, they lost the order a second time! Now, I'll give any restaurant a bad night, so we've been twice more since then, and each time, the service was very very very bad. One night the waiter never returned. Ever. Another night, guess what... they "lost" our order again!

This place needs new management or ownership before I will ever go back.

MY REVIEW: What in the world is happening to this place? The food has gone way downhill, and the kitchen is so slow. We stopped by on Thursday night, and left because we were so tired of waiting for our food. We couldn't find our favorite waiter, either. We asked for the manager's help in getting our food, but he was hateful and unconcerned. This is our very last time to ever visit this establishment. They do not deserve to remain open.

MY REVIEW: I have lived back in TX for 7 years. Las Rosas on Kingsland was my first date with my now husband 2 weeks after I got here. The old Las Rosas was a wonderful restaurant, but after they were bought out, there was a sharp decline in quality. We knew it the day we went and everything seemed to have changed from the food the the friendly wait staff. We hardly go any more. Almost forced to find a new date spot. We haven't given up totally, but it is so deserted when we go there now.

MY REVIEW: I had the opportunity to dine here recently and I was very impressed by the quality of everything. Our host ordered several of the parilla mixtas for the table. I found the arrachera (fajitas), roast pork, chile relleno, and shrimp to be excellent. The ribs were fork tender. The red and green hot sauces were delicious.

MY REVIEW: We were there on a night when there was a private party going on to the left of the stage, A "Wedding" of all things and places??? It's an O.K. restaurant & Service was pretty Decent. "Entertainment" I WOULD ALMOST GUARANTEE, FOR SURE, is MOSTLY the reason why people are REALLY interested in going there, as were we, COMING ALL THE WAY FROM SPRING, TX. (THE TRUTH IT IS, IT IS A CONVIENENT LOCATION FOR US SINCE WE OWN A BEACH HOME, JUST A BIT DOWN THE ROAD FROM PEARLAND, IN SURFSIDE, TX. **Anyway, "GREAT CONCEPT, DINING AND LIVE "TEJANO MUSIC" ENTERTAINMENT!", "KUDDOS" TO WHOMEVER THOUGHT OF IT AND AGAIN "KUDDOS" FOR THE SUPER SELECTION OF TEJANO MUSIC ENTERTAINERS, BEST OF ALL, IT'S "FREE!! FREE!!", JUST TO BE THERE, UP FRONT AND CLOSE TO YOUR TEJANO MUSIC FAVES!! "FREE. WOW!!" THANKS!!! GOOD TO SEE TEJANO MUSIC IS ALIVE AND WELL IN THE SURROUNDING HOUSTON AREA!!! Only, because of this do we NOW know of Las Rosas in Pearland. ***Anyway, just wondering why owners of the fine place don't just consider opening a larger much more spacious accomodation of the same??? **JUST A THOUGHT TO MAKE THIS AN EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS, AN EVENING NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN, *IF ANYTHING ELSE, IT WILL HELP TO LESSEN THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!

The wait staff is always nice and helpful even if you want to change something or add to your meal. And the live music at night is a wonderful way to spend an evening or for a special occasion. Prices were fair for the amount of food and the food is always hot, and the beverages keep coming before you ask for them.

For one the place is over crowded especially this Friday when Jay played. We were asked to go out side as the inside was way over packed.... to many peoples to small of a place to hold a concert with Jay playing... seems like the price of the beers go up every hour.... the mix drinks were watered down before you even got them...and up set that Jay only played one session...... the food was cold the wait staff was rude.... dont think will go back ...

MY REVIEW: 4pm....Only 3 tables occupied, and we still waited 15 minutes for anyone to take a drink order and receive our salsa and chips. The service was horrendous, had to flag down our waiter for more water, the food took nearly 30 minutes to come out of the kitchen, and if not to make things worse my son was nearly done eating before my husband and I got our fish tacos. The fish was very strong and sparse. We drove up from Galveston on a recommendation from a friend. Going to give them another chance to prove its a great place. Will keep you all posted

MY REVIEW: I wish I'd read reviews before I went. So many problems. The place had a large table (10-15 people) and 4 other tables of 2-4 each. It was not at all busy. Everyone that came in (including us) had to wait to be seated because all the staff were in the kitchen. My husband ordered a melon rita. They came back and said they were out of it so he ordered something else. Our bill said Mango rita so we don't really know what there were out of. The queso was very, very runny. The vegatable fajitas were almost raw. The chicken fajitas were okay. Like someone else said, there was no sizzle on the fajita pans. The service was worse than the food with the wait staff in the kitchen. With so many other Tex Mex choices, this place is not worth the time or money.
