MY REVIEW: i would pass this place often and wondered about the food served,so i decided to stop for dinner along with a friend and to our amazement we were greeted upon entering and was asked whether we wanted traditional or hibachi setting. we chose traditional setting. the waitress yenny was very nice howbeit it was her first at work did a great service for us,therefore I'm pleased with my first experience and the food was great. they served the food in family style. nice place going back this saturday 12/15/12.

MY REVIEW: Our favorite Hibachi. We have tried several in the Houston area and this is by far our favorite. Lunch prices on Saturday and Sunday make the Hibachi meal more affordable than dinner prices. Portions are good, food is excellent.

MY REVIEW: I have dined at Asian City for many years. The food has always been worth the wait. The down-right rudeness of the wait staff has become worse as time goes on. However, today was the worse service I've ever received. The waiter (David), I had never seen before, did not appear ignorant of the menu, and did get our orders correct. But, I had to get up and chase him down several times for tea, to request extra napkins, and wasabi. After the meal I had to chase him down again to ask for dessert. I did not receive the correct dessert, and did not get the coffee I ordered. Oh, and you better be ready to run when the greeter tells you to follow her, because she hauls butt. She intentionally tries to lose you.

MY REVIEW: Love the sushi bar. The chefs joke with you and everyone talks to everyone at the bar. Great food, ambience, and service. My husband and I go every chance we get.

MY REVIEW: This place is top notch. We always eat at the sushi bar or do take out. Daniel the sushi chef is a hoot. He knows everyone and is a blast to have serve you. We eat here at least 3 to 4 times a month. Wife called me today at work and asked I pick up some sushi for dinner tonight. Can't wait.

MY REVIEW: This was our first visit--we based it on the fact that we wanted to eat Hibachi, and this restaurant had a strong following. I liked it, food was good and fresh. Yes, the wait staff is a little curt--but it felt more "cultural" than rude. We waited awhile for drinks, and the last three seats to fill up (maybe we could have had our soup at this point?). I did not like the fact that the soup and the salad came out at the same time. I like to savor each one individually, not feel like I am in a race to eat before the Hibachi chef gets there.
The soup was very nice, sort of a fried onion/mushroom mix. The salad dressing was ok, a little clumpy though. The noodles on the grill were a nice touch. I also like the fact that they made more fried rice than orders, so gave a little taste to those of us who just had steamed rice. Getting refills on drinks or chopsticks was challenging--but the food quality was good enough that I didn't mind. If I can find some coupons for the next visit I would go back. For us, at this price level it is a "special occasion" restaurant.

MY REVIEW: This is one of our favorite restaurants, and certainly our favorite in Humble. Food is great no matter where you sit, so you have have 3 different, but wonderful experiences to choose from. The Hibachi, sushi bar or in the dining room.
We've been eating here regularly for years and the reviews below caputure our experiences. Always great food, the best Habachi chef is Mike and Yong is definately the best waitress. A couple of the older male waiters can be a bit short with the customers, but I think they just seem a little rude compared to the friendly service you will receive from pretty much everyone else.
Two dishes to recommend... Cilantro Shrimp and the Wanton soup. The wanton soup only comes in a large, so it is perfect to split between 4 or my husband and I share. It isn't like other wanton soups. When I'm sick, it is the only thing I want to eat.

MY REVIEW: I have been to several Hibachi places, and I have to say this one is my favorite. The shrimp is much larger here, other places just chop up small shrimp into tiny pieces. I am in love with the mustard sauce! I was so addicted at one time that I had hibachi 7 times in two weeks.

MY REVIEW: I love to sit at the hibachi grill. You get a cup size bowl of soup, a bowl of salad with a tangy ginger style dressing, noodles, grilled vegetables, your entree, and a choice of fried rice, or steamed rice. You also get two dipping sauces for your meat a honey dijon tasting one, and a ginger sauce. The taste of the food is excellent! I always get the hibachi shrimp, but i've had the surf & turf as well. I am always pleased with my meal, and the service is prompt and professional. The lunch time prices are fantastic for the quality of food you receive, the portions are smaller than the dinner time portions... but definitely still worth the price! $8.50 is what my lunch cost before tax & tipping. PS: A lot of people don't know this, but the hibachi chefs should be tipped upon satisfaction of service.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I wanted to give his parents a very special birthday dinner. They had suggested a Chinese buffet we have been to on several occasions; however, I wanted to give them something a little better. So, I visited this web site and read the reviews for Asian City. I was very impressed by the reviews, so I called the restaurant and made reservations for the four of us for lunch at the hibachi grill. Reservations are not necessary; however, between the four of us, three have special dietary restrictions due to health reasons. When I began mentioning those restrictions, the lady put my call to the manager. I spoke with him and he reassured me, there would be no problem.
The next day, we showed up at the appointed time and after introducing ourselves to the hostess, we were promptly seated. It wasn't but a moment when the manager came over to us and introduced himself. He called our chef and explained to him our needs (all of this without having to remind him). The chef was absolutely fabulous! When we were tempted by an item on the menu, he carefully took the time to explain that cooked in that particular way would not be wise and offered alternatives. He was extremely informative and helpful.
My in-laws have now decided that Asian City is the place we will go for all of our celebrations. Thank you so much for your consideration and hospitality. One more thing, they have a beautiful water wall that extends the entire length of the hibachi grill area. It was incredible to watch the chef play with fire while having a backdrop of cascading water.

MY REVIEW: Asian City is the bomb, when it comes to sushi. I have been to other shushi places, but nothing compares to them. At first I didn't like sushi, but I tried and I fell in love. I have been going to Asian City for about 7 yrs and still going. Daniel the chef is the awsome. Yung the waitress knows me and my family, she is aswome as well..

MY REVIEW: The spider roll is to die for! It's the most delicious roll on their menu. I also love the spicy tuna and salmon skin rolls. I order take out on a regular almost daily basis...it's highly reliable.
I look forward to my next meal there with enthusiasm. Congrats to the chefs at Asian City for making the place feel like home!

MY REVIEW: I would call my self an average diner. I typically don't eat at expensive restaurants and thus don't have the pallet to choose from that some of the other reviewers may have. But let me just say that this place is INCREDIBLE!!. What really astounds me is that people have complained about the customer service. Not to discredit them, but every time I have been here the waitstaff and servers have been exceptional. Along with that, another omission from the other reviews is that no one has brought up what I feel is the best dish on the menu. It is their Creamy Walnut Shrimp and it is simply to die for. Literally it is like biting into heaven my spouse and I order every time we go. I could go on and on about the other great dishes and their fantastic sushi but that would be redundant. If you haven't been here, try it, and if you have and haven't had the creamy walnut shrimp try it. I promise you won't regret it.

MY REVIEW: This place is incredible! We love the Nigiri Tuna and Salmon. The fried pork rolls are good too. The mgr. always speaks and the waitresses are always smiling and friendly. The hostesses sometimes act like they would rather not be there. Other than that, that is the only complaint I have ever had. Nice atmosphere with a knife show twirling act going on over near the wall that has water flowing down it. Always a good experience. I highly recommend it!

MY REVIEW: Sushi is great and fresh. Hibachi grill great. We visit once a month. Atmosphere is great. Another favorite Asian City Black Pepper Beef with Jalapenos, it is like eating a flavorful grilled steak in a great sauce.
Not a loud place. My dad does not like chinese food but he will go for the above Beef. Good service. Never too crowded.
