Shawarma King Mediterranean Cuisine

MY REVIEW: Visited Shawarma King and was greeted as I walked in by the owner. The service was wonderful and the food was even better!! They have fresh food on display and great sandwiches. Also one thing the stood out is how clean the place is. THe owner and his staff make you feel at home which is something you don't normally see. I highly advise going there and for me; will start making it a routine place to grab a bite.

MY REVIEW: I've been passing by this place for years. Finally decided to go check it out. Yum Yum Yum!! The beef Shawarma was delicious. Didn't like the Spinach Pie at all...but this will definitely be my new local eatery. Can't wait to try other things on the menu. Happy I finally came by.

MY REVIEW: OMG... So delicious... and everyone is so nice. im lebanese so i've always eaten my Grandma's authentic food back in Lebanon. Shawarma King comes very close with their daily specials. The spinach with beef and rice is exactly like my Grandma's homemade... So is the Kibbe. SORRY Grandma... I love it! I recommend Shawarma King to everyone who misses their Grandma's cooking!

MY REVIEW: I felt compelled to write a review for Shawarma King after a friend on Facebook suggested a couple places to eat great Middle Eastern food tonight, and ironically tonight too I just ran into 'The King' himself, Sam the owner of Shawarma King, at Kroger, where my lil girl (6) ran to him to give him a big hug and said "Daddy look it's SAM from Shawrma King!"

I have been frequenting Shawarma King for years and am there usually at least once a week (and sometimes 2-3) to get my 'Chicken Shawarma Fix'! My lil girl and I (and whoever I/we are with) are always welcomed and treated so warmly by all the staff there and when Sam is there he almost always brings out a special dessert treat for my lil girl on the house! Besides the great desserts Sam and co serve up THE BEST Chicken Shawarma and Hummus in all of Houston and the prices are so reasonable! And interestingly enough I found out that another eatery I frequent often feels the same way as the owner their buys his Hummus from Sam! :) Louisa (the sweet lady who is always taking care if people at the table) is great as is everyone else there and we love everything about this place, the food, the atmosphere, the people and the overall EXPERIENCE Sam and Shawarma King provide, which is why it is one of my fave places in town, along with my lil girl's and many of my friends who I have introduced to this place, including a friend and neighbor, who never ventured out to try stuff like this before and is now a fellow bonafide 'Shawarma King Addict'! ;)

MY REVIEW: I asked for a shawarma and it has probably been the most tasty in this city since I moved here last year.

I also had a salad, a side, a dessert and a soft drink and I payed less than what it has been at some other places just for the entree.

Will DEFINITELY GO BACK when in the mood for Middle Eastern cuisine.

MY REVIEW: We have nothing but good (make that GREAT) things to say about Shawarma King! The Chicken Shawarma is the best I've ever eaten, the lamb shanks are tender enough to fall off the bone... kibbi, eggplant, cauliflower -- YUM!! We're always greeted like old friends by the owner, who has such a good-hearted sense of humor. We love this place!

MY REVIEW: My boyfriend and I love this place. The owner is friendly and helps the cooks and waiters. Waiters are humble, kind and attentive. Easily one the best resturants in Houston.

MY REVIEW: The shawarmas are amazing------they are so good i like them better than the ones i get in Dubai. Service is great, If they only had one a little closer to my house.. oh well its good food.

MY REVIEW: I went over to SK Sat morning about 11:20 to pick up a bunch of fresh Shawarma for some friends coming by for a little XBox and college b-ball watching. I was quite surprised to find the place CLOSED. The sign said they open at noon. These have to be new hours as I'm positive I've been there before 12 on many Saturdays in the past. There were at least 10 people who came by trying to get some of the King's marvelous fare. They all seemed as perplexed as I was about this development and several indicated they were heading to A*bdallah's. Hope this is a temporary state of affairs because SK's food is top notch indeed and it's nice to be able to get in and get out before the noon rush.

MY REVIEW: I have to say that the service is great- I admit sometimes the wait time for a plate may take sometime, but the customer service is just great. The Manager handed evey customer FREE cookies just because he felt like it, he also went around asking if everything was fine, very polite man. My sister was very inpressed that she asked me to take her again the next day ( She is from out of town)! The food is not bad. Shawarma King is a place to eat and relax. No one rushs you to leave, and they are more then happy to help you in any way. It is cozy. I love going there. The prices are cheap. If you want to go to a place where you can hang out with a friend and talk with them without shouting this is the place for you. It even has an outdoor patio. I jusy get a good vibe from this place. Nice people.

MY REVIEW: It was my first visit and i was very impressed. The place is well clean. The staff is very friendly and the price is right. The shawarma is one of the best in town. I'm sorry F*adi, but you just lost a customer.

MY REVIEW: Real friendly service with a smile, and although the prices are close to fast food levels, the service and amenities are a lot higher. Nowhere else will you get a real cloth napkin for this price.

I catered food from Shawarma King and my guests were very impressed with the quality of the food, especially the hummos (someone said it was the best hummos in Houston). I called Sam and thanked him for making my party a success.

MY REVIEW: I will agree with the lady who pointed out the loong wait. My husband ordered the kafta plate (grilled beef) and I ordered the chicken sandwich shawarma. Our food took over half an hour and only came to us after 3 reminders. The place seems to advertise or work as a rustic-hole in the wall authentic food kinda place but the prices are hardly matching the thread bare interior or the really shoddy customer service. Our cashier was positively hostile.

We love Middle Eastern food but wont be going here again. An expensive alternative might not be bad a abd idea if we get halfway decent customer service.
