MY REVIEW: I needed a last minute birthday cake and didnt want to get one from a grocery store. Found Acadian online and decided to give them a try even though some reviews were negative. The good thing about them was their turn around time for a cake. I placed the order right before closing and my cake was ready by 11am the next morning. Most bakeries require at least 24hr notice if not more. With that said, on to the disappointment. Like many other reviews, it is warned that Acadian's version of a tiramisu is completely different then what we're use to. This is the only kind of cake my husband likes so it was a real disappointment to cut into the cake and saw that it was basically a chocolate batter with cream in between. I even asked the girl when placing the order if it was chocolate cake inside. She assured me it wasnt. Boy was she wrong! It was really embarrasing when I noticed my guests poking at it trying to figure what kind of cake it was. It didnt taste too bad but noone even finished their piece since they're not a fan of chocolate. I called the next day and asked if there was a mistake and was told "thats our tiramisu". Ok-whatever, not ordering here again unless they let me cut into the cake before purchasing.

MY REVIEW: Most of my experience with Acadian was eating the cakes that got delivered to our office parties. They are always delicious, but I had my first dealings with them myself last week. I had to pick up a cake for my friend's baby shower. My friend had ordered the cake over the phone and had repeatedly told them, and meticulously spelled, repeatedly, the message for the cake: "In anticipation" of their baby. When I picked up the cake it read "Nin, anticilation." I'm not sure what language they think that's correct in. Anyway, I noticed they served lunch so tried them for that. I had their trio salad of chicken salad, tuna salad, and egg salad. The chicken and tuna were superb, the egg salad was lacking. I bought a couple cookies to go with it and they were both so-so. My husband got the cheeseburger, and it was divine. The bun was slightly sweet and toasted, and the seasonings were just right. I'll be back for more of that.

MY REVIEW: I ordered a cake based on the recommendation of a friend, and will never do it again. I asked for a Tiramisu cake, but got a plain chocolate cake instead. When I called to complain about it, they insisted it was their version of a tiramisu and were extremely rude about it. I guess all 20 of my guests were confused because we all thought it was a plain chocolate cake! I will never go back to this place.

MY REVIEW: If you haven't had the pleasure of visiting the Adadian Bakers then you're in for a treat. It was hard to chose from the flavors, but fortunately my daughter had already decided to have 3 layers and a different flavor for each layer. It was awesome and beautiful. Sandi is an artist in her own field. Thanks Sandi for such a wonderful experience.

MY REVIEW: Were told to go to Acadian Baker's as part of a wedding package and were treated as though we didn't matter. They ignored us, were put out by requests, didn't reply to my emails, didn't show up for/or bother calling to cancel a schedualed meeting, and no matter how many times I told them my wedding date, they had it wrong. I complained to the hotel that the package was apart of and have canceled my cake and found another baker to use. The customer service was atrocious.

MY REVIEW: The origional baker of my wedding cake couldn't bake what I wanted so I went to Acadian Bakers and they saved the day. I wanted a multi-tier, square shapped, but each layer set slightly off center. The cake was a dream, delicious, and beautiful, everything I had ever imagined my wedding cake to be. I had 3 different layers with 3 different flavors of cake and filling. They are wonderful!

MY REVIEW: I gave them an example picture for my wedding cake, and was told it could be done. Three weeks before my wedding I called to finalize details and was told that they couldn't do anything I had originally been told. Had to lose a deposit and find a new baker in three weeks before my wedding! Be cautious when believeing what they tell you! No apologies, no offers for other ideas, just an "Oh well" attitude. Don't risk it, you may be disapointed!

MY REVIEW: I started going there because I once tried their Grand Fruit Marnier and fell head over heels for it! Since then, I get all my special occasion cakes there. There prices are fair for the quality of pastries you are getting!
