MY REVIEW: My husband and I went here for our 6th wedding anniversary last Saturday night. We chose this restaurant for its location (close to the grandparents who could watch our children). We had no idea what to expect, but were hoping it would be a nice time out. And it was! We were VERY happy with our choice! The atmosphere was lovely, quiet and calming. Soft music, candlelit tables, very romantic. Our server, Sandy, was delightful and very helpful in assisting us with our wine and entree selections. The food was amazing! My husband enjoyed the Mixed Game grill and I had an excellent filet mignon with spinach (Atkins style). Sandy surprised us and took our photo and printed for us, even noting the date and location on the back. And then she brought us two almond mousse desserts for our celebration. We can't wait to come back! Thank you!

MY REVIEW: Glad we tried it! Delicious! My husband and I both had the rack of lamb as our entrees. We are Atkins dieters and they accommodated us with vegetables and held the carb items. Our waitress, Deanna, was top notch and the owner came to our table to say hello. We will definitely go back to try the huge selection on their menu along with the many specials.

MY REVIEW: I've been here twice. Both times the food was very good and the service excellent. They serve game meat which is a novelty. It is, by far, the best restaurant in the RIchmond area and worth the drive from Houston, however on the downside the decor is dated and needs a makeover. Also, while it's nice, it's not fine dining or upscale in any way because of the badly dressed locals who eat there (T-shirts, soiled jeans, sneakers).

MY REVIEW: ("How many visits?"-somewhere in between 4-6 and everybody knows my name)
As a slow learner, I've long suspected Karl's was my favorite restaurant and after approximately 10 years of eating there, last Friday night pretty much cinched the deal.
The prime rib-a weekend only specialty-was spectacular and plentiful as usual. (I used to go ONLY for the Beef Wellington, but now I alternate.)
Deanna's always cheerful service was friendly and prompt.
Karl's is a perfect combination of superb cuisine, great service, and "worn elegance" in a casual setting at reasonable prices.
For those 3-4 of Fort Bend County residents who've never been to Karl's, you don't know what you are missing; for Houston folks-it's well worth the drive!

MY REVIEW: The drive for us old people can be a little daunting, but once there, it is well worth the drive. Once you walk in and breeze through the heavy cig smoke, we are seated way in the back or on the glassed porch and have no further discomfort from the smoke til we are on the way out!
We love the cheese toast appetizers, rack of lamb, and veinerschnitzel, which is pure heaven!@! Our fave by far!desserts simple and delicious!@!@
The surroundings are calming with rolling hills and afew horses roaming. The service is excellent. Everyone is most pleasant and only wants to serve us a memorable meal.
My birthday is coming up in June, and we'll all be there, my hubby, Howard Stern, son Mathew and me, Ronda. We can't wait!!

MY REVIEW: We have dined at Karl's (or the Q*uail Hollow Inn) for 19 years. The meals have always been wonderful. My favorite is the game stew but each dish is unique, fresh and prepared by a gourmet chef. The service has always been appropriately attentive and friendly as well. We will be there again in 3 weeks.

MY REVIEW: We went to Karl's after chuch for the brunch. It was wonderful. There were so many different selections. The salad bar had everything from shrimp salad to duck and apple salad. They were all fantastic. The entrees were the same. So many to name. The desserts were all delicious. Very reasonable and the service was exceptional as usual. Will go back again. Thanks again for an enjoyable brunch Karl!

MY REVIEW: We decided to celebrate my husbands birthday here based on the positive reviews. It was a fabulous meal with great service and yes, a free dessert & photo at the end was included. For a week night, they were fairly busy but maintained the great service. I agree with others, the place is very outdated and & the smell of cigarette smoke is a turn-off at the entrance but wasn't noticeable at the table. Karl's reminded us of our old country club dining room...we thought we were on the golf course.

MY REVIEW: Our first visit to Karl's on a Wednesday night was delightful. We were very impressed with the calm, quiet atmosphere. It is nearly impossible to enjoy a meal these days without being subjected to abnoxious loud music or screaming spoiled brats. This is a perfect restaurant to take your older family members who may have difficulty hearing.
Our food was spectacular! We had salad and tomato basil soup, along with Pork Dijonnaise and Beer Batter Shrimp. No room for dessert (we were stuffed) but we hope to be back soon to try them out. Amy served us and she was a peach, we will definitely be back. The only downside to our evening was the cigarette smoke. It's very strong when you first walk in as the smoking section is right next to the entrance. If you are sensitive to it like I am, you will want to be seated as far away from there as possible.

MY REVIEW: We have been going to Karl's since we moved into the area several years ago and have enjoyed it and had a good experience every time so that's why we keep going back.
Their food is absolutely delicious and the service is great. Everyone is very friendly and the waitresses are all good but we have our favorite named Dee and she has been helping us every visit. We have gotten together a group of 8 and we go there very often. So we have nothing but good to say about the restaurant and look forward to many more years of good dining there.

MY REVIEW: What a GREAT little restaurant.... Quiet setting w/ friendly service... especially when arriving before 6PM....Have been here many times for various
occasions over the past 7 yrs. and Karl's has NEVER disappointed.... Seafood dishs are delectable and if you are into wild game....this is the place....Karl's European influence is noticed in a host of menu items Suffice it to say, look at the menu on-line....Desserts? Nothing better than the apple struedel....a specialty along w/the other tantalizing offerings... Karl's is nice enough for a special occasion and laid back to the point that it is not too formal.... A tremendous value for what you look for in a restaurant... great food, good service and at a reasonable value.....

MY REVIEW: Dining at Karl's has always been exceptional. The view outside the window beyond the creek is truly pastoral. The presentation of appetizers and entrees shows Karl's love of food. Evey dish has always exceeded our expectations. Wait staff is attentive and provides wonderful service. If you are looking for a restaurant, where the food is outstanding, lovely classical music playing in the background and a quiet atmosphere that allows you to enjoy conversation with your dinner guests - Karl's is the place.

MY REVIEW: We had been to Karls about 10 years ago and had a wonderful meal. We talked about returning and last night we finally made it back. We were seated on the porch which made for a nice view. The waitress was friendly and offered advice about the menu. My husband and I both ordered an appetizer, he the escargot and I had the asparagus. They came out great. My husband said the rack of lamb was the best he had ever had and my salmon was perfect. When the waitress found out it was my birthday she came out with dessert and a camera to take our picture. It was a nice touch. We will not wait 10 years to return as our evening was wonderful.
