MY REVIEW: If you want some awesome BBQ that will fill you up then this is the place. I love Brookstreet and know the owner and have told many people about this resturant and all of them are still going back for more. I really love going here at lunch it's quick never a wait but always busy. I love the ribs, pulled pork and turkey and best of all they have fried okra!!

MY REVIEW: Good BBQ - not great BBQ - but good. But the Sugar Land area has never had even a good BBQ restaurant so I think this is probably as good as it gets here.
Brisket is generally pretty good, the sausage is good but I think the casing is a little too thick, and the ribs vary from pretty good to wanting to throw it back across the counter. Side orders are decent (french fries are especially good) but I've noticed that that the potato salad is inconsistent in preparation/ingredients. Sometimes it's good and other times it tastes like someone went overboard adding dill. It's always the one ingredient - on one visit you don't notice it and then on another visit it will be overpowering the rest of the dish. It's as if there are different cooks working on that dish on different days and your experience will depend on who got assigned to make potato salad that day.
Service is pretty good - mostly local kids who actually do a pretty good job and are even friendly and helpful most of the time.
They don't have award winning slap-your-mamma BBQ here, but if you don't mind the occasional inconsistency it is pretty darn good. Toss in a nice decor, pretty good service and very clean interior and you have a decent BBQ place.

MY REVIEW: I love the restaurant. From the time you walk in and can snack on peanuts to the friendly service and the great meal which ends with Ice cream. Who wouldn't love Brookstreet. Thanks for the drive thru, it makes it easy to pick up on the way home from work.

MY REVIEW: BBQ is good. The brisket isn't fatty though I've noticed that the ribs have been rather fatty during the last few visits. There is usually a good selection of sides besides the typical slaw, potato salad and beans. I've never had one but have seen their stuffed baked spuds and they are huge!
My only tiff is when ordering the three meat plate; I asked for brisket, ribs and ribs. (Yes, I wanted two portions of ribs rather than ordering a third variety of meat.) They refused. I was told they couldn't do this yet, they couldn't justify why. Makes no sense to me and I expressed my dismay to no avail... Seems they would be just a little more interested in pleasing the customer.
For the most part, I'd say the food is good, atmosphere is comfortable, music is great and the price is typical. A family place. I'll return.

MY REVIEW: Outstanding moist and tender brisket! The place is great! Albert and his son are always there to take care of me and I have never had a bad experience. Whether dining in or catering out for an event (they did my daughter's birthday) these guys do it right. Sugar Land has it's share of BBQ but if you want the "goods" try this place. You'll almost always see one of Sugar Land's finest in the place and it's a regular stop for local political figures.
FREE ice cream after your meal!! Thanks Albert!!

MY REVIEW: I agree with all of the other favorable reviews here, but I'm surprised that no one bothered to mention the great music that is played. It really adds to the ambience.

MY REVIEW: I love this place. My usual menu item is the 2 meat plate (sliced beef & sausage + plenty of BBQ sauce) with side orders of potato salad & ranch beans. I used to get side orders of fried okra--but, and this is my only complaint--they usually never had any cooked up and ready before hand, and when you ordered it, they had to bring it out to you later, so piping hot I always burned the roof of my mouth. I eventually stopped ordering the fried okra after this happened one too many times. The beer selection is nice, the staff are friendly, and the piped in old-time country music is a nice touch. Lots of Johnny Cash and Roger Miller...yeehaw!
It's a great place even just to kick up your heels on a hot Texas afternoon and down a few ice cold Shiners or Coronas with lime-slices. The staff all know my face and seem glad to see me. I try to go at off-peak hours, as the line can get kind of long; Very popular with local businessmen, medical professionals, & police officers during peak hours. Very family-friendly, which is another reason I go during off-peak hours.

MY REVIEW: Brisket and pulled porks is good. Sausage tasted like the ones you can get at the supermarket. The sauce is average.

MY REVIEW: The brisket and ribs are fine, but I come here because it's one of the few BBQ places in town that serves a pulled pork sandwich. If you are homesick for Memphis-style pork BBQ, you can get a fix here!

MY REVIEW: I have been going to this restaurant for a few years and I always enjoy the food. I like the sliced beef and the high point is the chicken. If you like chicken this is THE PLACE to go. Not very many restaurant joints do a good chicken as they usually dry it out or get it really sloppy with sauce. These guys smoke the chicken just right and then put the sauce on the side where it's supposed to be.
They also offer catering services where they will either drop off the food or serve it for you. This is nice for "last minute" parties or unexpected guests.
They have also added a "party room" that I have had a chance to attend for private events. The menu really opens up for catering as I have sampled their fajitas and desserts.
Things to approve on? I think the fries are kind of bland I would rather see them blanched first to add a crispness. It would also be nice to add a Greek Salad.

MY REVIEW: One of the best Bar B Que joints in Sugar Land! Have only had the sliced beef and it is excellent. Definitely has to be one of the best They need to improve their french fries as they are very dry and bland though.
