MY REVIEW: Good variety of chocolates, I got the ice chocolate mint drink which was good, but the brownie was very dry (didn't know until that night at home). My advice is to have a sample at the store before you buy anything to go.

MY REVIEW: I can't say enough how much I LOVE THIS PLACE! Any of their chocolate ice creams are wonderful - if you have never been, start with the small size. Everything is perfectly rich and incredible!

I have also bought candy bars and choclates for gifts which are always a hit! I gave chocolate baby bottles as a shower favors and they were the hit of the party!

MY REVIEW: The last time my husband and I visited we had a night out without the baby. We got two cheese cakes and they were awesome! We couldn't move for about 15 minutes after eating them though because we were too full. Anytime we are in this area it is a must to stop buy, I love this place!

MY REVIEW: I went to a friend's birthday party...she had the chocolate truffles, and i'd say both me and my wife had one too many. It was to die for. So we found out they were from The Chocolate Bar.

We stopped by today to check the store out. First impression was awesome, i could smell the chocolate and that was good enough.

I got the huge aunt etta's cake...oh gosh, its the best chocolate cake thus far, not too sweet, not to heavy, just perfect. We will be ordering cakes from them for our next party.

My wife got the ice cream and they were awesome.

I only wish they would open another location more accessible.

MY REVIEW: This place will make you FAT. It is too tempting and should be outlawed. I have taken several different couples here and they all rave. Fun and delicious with very nice employees. But...it is just millions of calories waiting to pounce upon your wasitline.

MY REVIEW: The ice cream and the chocolate are awesome! The parking is kind of a pain but we finally were able to park down the street (definitely map out the area if you're not familiar with it). You walk in and it smells like heaven! My husband and I got ice cream, his chocolate chunk and mine Peppermint. Now mind you I love Peppermint but it was so overwhelming I could not take more than two bites before having to stop. I told the server, I couldn't eat anymore and he graciously offered to get me another type of ice cream. I went with the White Chocolate Oreo and oh my goodness, it was awesome!!! I highly recommend that you sample an ice cream flavor before purchasing. We bought some heart shaped sugar cookies with red icing (the icing flavor wasn't very tasteful perhaps due to the red dye)and chocolate covered raisins (delish!). It was a fun place to visit and sample some wonderful sweets! Did not venture into Candylicious next door but will next time!

MY REVIEW: I found this wonderful store in a magazine while waiting for my appointment at MDAnderson. My husband and I thought it would be a neat place to go and get treats for our daughters waiting at home in Dallas. We were right! The lady helped us wrapped the wonderful chocolate covered strawberries and special shaped chocolate for the long ride home. The girls where so excited! Now this is our special place to take them each time I go for my doctor appointments. This place takes them away from everything that is going on around them. The people that work there are fantastic. The atmosphere is wonderful and the chocolate is the best. I would recommend the ice cream for a special family times! It makes memories you will never forget. Memories are priceless.

MY REVIEW: I arranged for my old college and high school friends to meet @ Chocolate Bar after dinner at M*ak Chin's, and couldn't be more pleased with the results! Between the five of us, we shared the enormous Etta Cake, Midnight Decadence(?), and a cheesecake. We almost DIED devouring all three cakes!!! It was THAT good! We didnt have room to try any ice cream, though I saw most of the tables around us ordering them. I'll definitely be returning!!!

MY REVIEW: I stopped in to get some Halloween treats for the people I work with, all of them being 'chocaholics'. The selection of cakes is mind-blowing, but I finally decided on a type of chocolate cheesecake with pecans, caramel, and chocolate ganache'/mousse. Honestly I don't eat the stuff, but I knew that if I was coming here that I could find something. I went to the other side of the store and found some other things to get, such as the chocolate truffle bon bons, and some other items that had my face breaking out when I picked it up! (LOL) If you're craving some serious chocolate, this is THE place to come. It's not cheap, but the ingredients used in their products aren't either, and the workmanship on the cakes is worth every pennny. My co-workers loved my slections, most of them were in a sugar induced diabetic coma for the entire shift, which is bad, since we work at a hospital! I did have a couple of bites of the cheesecake, and it really was that good. I'll definately be back in the future.

MY REVIEW: There is no down side to this place, except maybe its a tad pricy but its TOTALLY worth the money. This place is a chocolate mouth-gasm and is one of my favorite places to get chocolate stateside. After my study abroad in France I wasn't sure American chocolate could ever make me happy again but I'm happy to report that the Chocolate Bar is a truley glorious experience.

My favorite cake thus far: Aunt Etta's. Its OMG good. Fair warning- bring a friend and the TWO of you will not be able to finish ONE SLICE, its THAT good.

MY REVIEW: Everything I have tried at The Chocolate Bar has been incredible. I wish the companion store next door was open later on the weekends. This place is a fun place to go with friends and to enjoy some great desserts. Just one question: How can a place called The Chocolate Bar not serve hot CHOCOLATE?

MY REVIEW: I LOVE THIS PLACE! My husband and I were greeted with the pleasant smell of chocolate upon entering the store. The cake was well worth the $9.00 per slice. We are eager to return and try the other goodies "The Chocolate Bar" has to offer.

MY REVIEW: This is as good as ice cream gets! We didn't try the cake (no matter how big the slice is...$7 is too high) but we did take home some cookies. The chocolate chunk was great; the others were too dry.

This is a great place to take your kids too!

MY REVIEW: Wow! The chocolate malt ice cream was DELICIOUS!!!! I've been meaning to visit this place for quite sometime now and I finally made it. My boyfriend and I went on Sunday evening and it wasn't too busy. Plenty of choices and a friendly staff. I ordered the small chocolate malt ice cream and he ordered the small chocolate de menthe (sp?) and both were really good. Can't wait to go back.

MY REVIEW: If I had a dessert bar I would want it to be just like this one. I am known at work for my specialty desserts, but The Chocolate Bar's cakes make my monstrous 3 layer cakes look like cupcakes. When I go out for dessert, I want to be impressed and each time I have gone to The Chocolate Bar, I have been impressed. I found the staff to be friendly, patient and cheerful. This is truly a place to take someone you love. Remember, you get what you pay for and here you get quality, imagination and so many choices you can’t help but go back.

MY REVIEW: The truffle ice cream. That's all you need to know. Everything tastes great, but it's all about this ice cream for me. YUM!!! The service is very friendly, not haughty at all, and it's a great place for any group - family, date, friends, etc. I highly recommend it! I'm going to try out their catering for a dessert event soon.

MY REVIEW: LOVED THIS PLACE!! I am a HUGE cake fan and went right to the dessert case - didn't even make it to the ice cream I was so enticed by the cakes begging me to EAT THEM! My husband and I split a 4 layer chocolate cake "Aunt Etta's Chocolate Cake" it was great! The service was superb - very friendly! It was crowded - but the excitement was electric! To avoid parking issues we parked on the side street and had a nice walk - needed it after eating that HUGE piece of cake! We are trying to find another reason (excuse) to go back!

MY REVIEW: Yummy! This is an addictive place. I was introduced to it by my co-worker and now I must visit again. The chocolate covered strawberries and the rasberry chocolate cups are delicious. I also had the chocolate truffle ice-cream - felt like satin smooth in my mouth....and I am not even a super chocolate fan!

MY REVIEW: After reading reviews, decided I'd try it out. AMAZING! It was PACKED last Friday when I went, and all these little kids were in Halloween costumes and clamoring around the ice cream (they were dressed a week early, I guess).

Got the brownie which was actually horrible. Very dry, I wonder how long it's been in the case? But the other cakes looked delicious and the service made up for the horrible brownie. THey were so nice behind the counter and let me sample the icecream.

This place is expensive but it's worht it for the atmosphere on a busy night. It made me happy just watching everyone eating good ol' chocolate. I love watching the non-calorie-counters. The ppl there are so friendly. Try it. Even tho expensive, you gotta go at least once.

MY REVIEW: Delicioso. Wow. If you even remotely like chocolate, you'll be in Heaven here. I'm not a huge fan of ice cream, but you cannot go wrong here. They have amazing home-made ice creams of every kind, chocolate included. Go with a small because they give you a big serving. They make gorgeous cakes and 2 people could easily share a slice - as a meal! Chocolate covered everything - fruit, pretzels, toffee, candy, truffles. I'm sure they even have chocolate covered chocolate. The smell when you walk into the place grabs your taste buds and doesn't relent until you dig in. The Chocolate Bar is a fun date place for anyone's sweet tooth.

MY REVIEW: What can I say? I saw this place one day passing buy. So I made a BAT TURN. I've been hooked ever since. The chocolate covered cherrie cordials are to DIE for. I got a box for my birthday. I was in heaven. Oh, I didn't mention,a box of 16. The chocalate covered strawberries are the best. All in all, the chocolate has it's own unique taste. Better than any I've ever tried. I've tried the chocolate pretzels, chocolate krispie treats, chocolate bananas, chocolate caramel turtles, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. It's ALL really great. I've been to Candylicious too. It's a dreamland for kids.

MY REVIEW: Awesome desserts! The prices are a little steep for a slice of pie or cake but it is so worth it! The plain chocolate ice cream is to-die-for. If you love chocolate, you will not be let down by stopping by here. One dessert is enough for two people to share because they are so rich. My boyfriend and I shared 1 piece of chocolate pecan pie and a small chocolate ice cream and that was more than enough for both of us. So, if you go and split something with your honey, it really is not too expensive. About 14 bucks for pie and ice cream, not a bad treat for a special occassion. We have been back twice since our first visit and we will continue to go here. Very good service considering they were busy.

MY REVIEW: This place is truly heaven. All the desserts are the best money$$$$ can buy. I read the review from Patricia and felt it was biased. She wrote a bad review for "The Chocolate Bar', "C*andylicious" and "D*ylan's Candy Bar" all on the same day? What gives.

Take my word all these places are unique and at the top of their fields!

If Patricia and her 4 year old are such great cooks they should never go out to eat anywhere.

I have tried about half of the desserts at The Chocolate Bar since they expanded into that field and have never walked awy unsatisfied in fact I end up taking at least half of my dessert home for they are so rich. For the money you could share a dessert with two, but who wants to share!
