MY REVIEW: I've been eating at this place for about 8 years now, even before it was
called El Charro. The original name was Dos Chispitas. Total visits is well over 500. You can't beat the breakfast burrito. $2 and it's anout three pounds, the size of a football.
The tortilla is the size of a large pizza alone. They will put anything in it you ask for with no complaints.
Tostadas are outstanding, and the just plain fajita tacos on corn are great and cheap. They don't skimp on toppings, you get a lot of food for the money.
Their shrimp is okay but they don't butterfly it leaving the black excrement tube in the shrimp, but if you don't like that and are willing to remove it yourself, they always use real Gulf Jumbo shrimp when in season. So they don't skimp there either.
Avacados are always fresh, and there is a fresh juice bar for real squeezed OJ and other fruits (they make it while you watch).
Very rarely does anyone speak English, but they will try. Juke box can be pretty loud some of the time, and the appearance from the outside is pretty junky. But it's good food real cheap, with a very, VERY relaxed atmosphere. Wear anything, no one cares what you look like. It's an authentic hole in the wall.
I try to stop by there every time I visit Jacinto City.

MY REVIEW: I love their breakfast burritos! $2 for something that will last me 2 days is a deal in my eyes! Their lunches are also great. I love the fact that they make their juice fresh squeezed as well. If you love great authentic food, I would definitely go here!

MY REVIEW: i usually have the omelette for breakfast, which is very good, as is everything else i've had here for breakfast.as far as ambiance, if you like cramped, hot, holes in the wall, with a dispassionate waitress thrown in for good measure, bucko, this is your kinda place.

MY REVIEW: I found this place very good if you're looking for bargain prices for dishes. The quesadillas are wonderful, altho I've heard some say it's greasy. But it is delicious for me. They serve cheese for your chips without charge. Additionally, they make fresh REAL orange juice. I could never pass that up. Great place. Only con - the place looks shabby from the inside and out. Dress VERY casual! Most of the people here speaks spanish.
