Thai Spice Kitchen

MY REVIEW: Based on just one visit, I'd have to say this place looks promising as a go-to lunch destination. Though not an intimate spot, nevertheless the decor is tasteful and the place is very clean. With soothing shades of moss green & gold, and easy listening classics from the 40s & 50s, it's a relaxing spot.
I love curry and their Yellow Curry with Pork lunch special did not disappoint. Heeding Blue Lizard's (see previous review) comment about the spice/heat level of his curry dish, I asked for additional heat. And glad I did because otherwise it would not have been spicy enough for my tastes. The menu indicates a one pepper designation out of a possible three for the Yellow Curry. I requested two pepper heat level which was perfect. I had to be amused at the guy at the next table who complained that his soup had too much pepper/heat---he was struggling and in obvious pain as he downed lots of water!
The L8 Yellow Curry lunch special comes with a refreshing salad with peanut sauce and a cup of (almost) mild soup conaining chicken stock with cucumbers & black fungus strips. For $7, I enjoyed a delicious lunch and gracious service in pleasant surroundings. I'll return to explore the extensive menu which affords much variety.

MY REVIEW: Husband and I went for lunch at about 1:15. Service was indifferent and a little slow. I had Teriyaki Chicken and he had Sweet and Sour Pork Lunch specials. Chicken and pork were both overcooked and dry. I suspect they had been reheated. The brown rice was bland and brocolli so tough I had to cut it with a knife. Won't be returning.

MY REVIEW: I would gladly recommend Thai Spice for lunch. I haven't been there for dinner, yet, so I can really only comment on the lunch menu.
The lunch menu is very reasonably priced, and it comes with an appetizer try that has a small soup, a small salad and 2 mini egg rolls. I've tried 2 different curries here that purported to be spicy, and while I could detect some heat in them, they were nowhere near as spicy as I expect from a Thai restaurant. But if you don't like very spicy food, you might want to give them a try. The lunch portion size is reasonable, not overflowing, and I like that. Wait service was prompt and courteous.
Overall, it's a pretty good choice for a lunch stop.

MY REVIEW: Garden variety Thai food. I asked for it spicy but they wouldn't comply, despite the fact that the dish was supposed to be spicy. Portions were kind of small.
