MY REVIEW: Good service, good food-I always order the tortas, burritos, or beef tacos. I usually get togo and that only takes like 5-10 min. I love the salsa and chips too very spicy.

MY REVIEW: This is a wonderful restaurant. I was out looking for a new place to eat at lunch and driving on Main and told myself, "you should stop at the first local-looking fixin's place that has a parking lot full of vehicles. Voila! The meals are full of flavor, the variety is overwhelming, the service is fast and the local color is a treasure. As with any great Mexican eatery, you could sit and consume in mass quantities their chips and 2 or 3 varieties of salsa, but don't, because you will miss a very satisfying lunch or dinner. Now this is the Mexican food I have been searching for!

MY REVIEW: We are addicted to the salsa and freshly fried tortilla chips at Arandas. Service is incredibly fast. This is the best food value out there. My husband and I shared the regular burrito, guacamole plus a Corona for around $10 last night and were FULL!

MY REVIEW: This place is right around the corner from me so I decided to give it a try for dinner one night. I remember the Gessner Road location having wonderful horchata but I'd never had anything to eat there before.
I ordered the beef enchiladas. They were horrible. The cheese was rubbery, the meat dry. It didn't appear to be freshly assembled, but had been sitting under a heat lamp. I'll never go back. If a Mexican restaurant can't get an enchilada right... (so I'll stick with my current favorite, A*lma Latina on Telephone Road).

MY REVIEW: Love this restaurant. We have always been greeted with a smile and shown to a clean booth. The service has always been excellent...more expensive restaurants could learn how to keep clients happy. The food has always been fantastic...how do they do it at such cheap prices? The atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious, casual and pleasant. I will keep going back again and again...thank you Taqueria Arandas.

MY REVIEW: Los P*erez was packed, so we tried another restaurant which was a bad idea. We were directed to sit between two booths with active kids all over them, yet this large restaurant was practically empty. The fajita beef was tough, the shrimp quesadilla bland, and the salsa also bland. The shrimp must be steamed with no seasoning applied. My wife suggested we get a doggie bag and give it to the dog for the first time ever. This is a dirty restaurant with staff that looks depressed. Who can blame them?

MY REVIEW: I ve been going to this restaurants for many years. Though as the management has changed so has their food. If you want a quick place to eat something at a low price then this is your place. But if you want a restaurant with great food that you ll want to keep coming back for, then head elsewhere. The tacos have become ever smaller, with meat that they call fajita, which it is obviously not. Their rice is dry, I can cook better at home for much cheaper. People had different tastes so it just depends on what you are looking for. Do not expect home cooking here, it has become a chain, so thats what you get.

22453 Katy Fwy, Katy, Texas 77450 281.395.2755
MY REVIEW: Stay away form the Katy Freeway location. The food is no good, the service is mediocre, and for what I paid for, I could have gone to a better restaurant. Three small portions rolled in tough tortillas with stale cheese (not real enchiladas like I expected) and soupy beans for $8.00? I could've had the all-you-can eat enchiladas at an unmentioned restaurant. I had gone there before to have a fajita skillet and the waitress missed the rice--when I inquired about it, she brought out a tiny dip bowl of yellow rice that was insipid. My error was going back there after the first trangression. Heck, my error was going there in the first place!
Note: They don't serve margaritas! What kind of Mexican restaurant doesn't have margaritas??
To Diana: Skin-tight pants are always better. Unfortunately, at the Katy Freeway location, there's not a pretty sight (no wonder the restaurant was empty on both instances).

MY REVIEW: I was expecting the best POZOLE (hominy and pork soup), since somebody told me that this is one of the best places to eat mexican specialties, I was WRONG....... the pozole tasted like a common Campbell's tomato soup, hominy and pork were gone for the day, do not take me wrong, I was born in the place were that soup is one of the main dishes (Guadalajara, Mexico) and maybe I was expecting too much of this place... but the food definitely have some gringo taste, taco b*ell, I should say.

MY REVIEW: I really recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat real mexican food. The food is delicious and very affordable. The atmosphere is great too! The only thing that bothered me was the waitresses dresscode, very skin tight pants... but besideds that I will be returning many times more.

MY REVIEW: Yeah, the jukebox is loud and sometimes there is a boisterous crowd but that's what you should expect from a Mexican taqueria in the East End. It isn't a 'fancy' place- it's a homey place where people socialise and unwind after a hard day's work. On that note, the food is okay- nothing too exciting although the Pechuga de Pollo is excellent. Very moist and the grilled flavor goes well with the rice and beans.

MY REVIEW: This is a newer Arandas, before I would go to the Airline location which is also very good. However, the Eastex location is much closer to me. I love Arandas and so do my husband and kids. My husband always gets the Burrito "California" which weighs atleast 3 or 4 pounds! I love the tostadas, flautas, and the rice and frijoles a la charra are off the chain! I recommend this place to everyone! Very good food for a very good price. As a matter of fact, I am taking a newer co-worker there for lunch today! Two thumbs up! If you are ever in the 59N and eastmount houston area, definately stop by!

MY REVIEW: Food was ok. Good portions for the price. was there at about 1:00 pm on a week day and there was about three or four, appearently drunk, very loud and annoying spanish speaking men sitting over from me. Which the waitress seemed to be more intrested in sitting down and talking to them than serving me. Also i know this is a mexican resturante but the jukebox was turned up extremely loud on spanish music. Just like the other guy i just woofed down my food and left ASAP. Probably won't go back.

MY REVIEW: food is great but there is some drunk fool doing karaoke almost every night lately. if I see him there I go elsewhere, where some moderately talented old dude singing along with a record player can't annoy me by whining pathetically through a microphone in spanish while i cover my ears and wolf down my rice and beans

MY REVIEW: We stopped by this new location for lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. The salsa and green sauce are very good. Pierna is excellent, whether in taco or burrito form, as is the chorizo & eggs. Sopapillas were wonderful and crunchy. The tres leches is awesome -- my second favorite in Houston (#1 being C*hurrasco's). Service was surprisingly good. I don't speak Spanish and had a little trouble understanding the server, but overall it was fine. Will be back often.

MY REVIEW: This Aranda's is the BOMB!! I always order the same thing - three fajita tacos with green salsa, coffee or diet coke. The service the BEST! I always ask for a specific waitress - she is C R A Z Y!!! She makes you laugh and gives you great attentive service. Her name is Mariah - the rest of the staff is very friendly too. I recommnend their food it is very tasty!! Menudo, yummmmy!

MY REVIEW: this place is a great neighborhood cafe. I visit frequently and have only been disapointed in a couple of items. I go to the Baytown location usually and have become preoccupied with trying to make sense of the figures in the wall length mural which features bad distance perspective and giant animals which appear to be a cross between a longhorn cow and a beagle. the alambres are very flavorful. so is the pechuga de pollo dinner. portions are excellent and prices are pretty good. you will need to know a little spanish to get your order as you want it as most of the staff speak nary a word of english. the atmosphere is atrocious with televisions onmnipresent ,a juke box that can sometimes be wayyyyyyyyyyyyy tooooo loud!@!!!!! (especially if the person putting the money in knows one of the waitresses), and bright flourescent lighting.
The breakfasts are dirt cheap and ample. my main complaint is that the menu offers the option of salsa verde which I take to be tomatilla sauce, but which the staff insists is just chopped jalapenos, suggesting there is a communications problem between the home office and this location

MY REVIEW: Staff was friendly and the waitress was attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was terrible. Television sets were competing with the very loud jutebox and piped music. The food was very greasy and drenched in Velveta cheese. Flies were flying around throughout our dinner. First and last visit to Taquaria Arandas.
