MY REVIEW: I took my wife for her birthday. We were accompanied by 3 other people. The only complaints were that the Chicken Attanasio was a little dry and the bread crust was a little tougher than I like. My porkchop Marsala was moist and cooked perfectly. It was also very large, like those served at their steak houses.
I made reservations, telling them it was for a birthday. I asked if I could bring a cake and was told yes, as long as it was a "special occasion" cake. When we arrived, the manager took it back to the refrigerator until we were ready for it. They took us to our table that had rosepetals decorating it for the occasion.
We were treated graciously and they were very attentive, even though we only had one mixed drink and no wine at the entire table. The waiter was enthusiastic and congratulated our decisions without appearing condescending. He was also available whenever we needed anything.
Once the meal was over, they brought our cake back out, put candles in that we had brought and lit it. Once blown out, they cut and served it as if they had sold it to us. They also brought my wife a free dessert because of the occasion.
We requested that the check be split at the end of the meal, which I know is something that can really irritate a waiter. He immediately assured us that it was not a problem and did so.
What really impressed me was that they knew early in the meal that we were not going to run up a large tab by the types of entrees we had ordered and the lack of drinks. However, they treated us exceptionally well and really catered to our needs. It made for a very nice evening. We will certainly be going back!

MY REVIEW: Six of us went to Perry's Italian Grill to celebrate a family birthday and were very pleased with the food, service and ambiance.
I noticed the reviews below are quite dated and not very complimentary and I wanted to set the record straight.
Our server was Rosie and she was absolutely wonderful. Very attentitive to our needs without being intrusive. She was excellent.
We had table appetizers and the fried asparagus with crabmeat was superb and the table fav.
One of the specials for this evening was lamb with risotto. Two of us had it and it was outstanding. The lamb was cooked to perfection at mediium-rare and the risotto was creamy and rich like it should be.
Others had Snapper almondine and two different pasta dishes. These too were flavorful and cooked perfectly.
As I stated we were celebrating a birthday and Perry's was very kind in sprinkling our table for six with rose petals and greeting the birthday girl with cheerful happy birthdays from several of the staff. By the way, this was the first time we have been here in a couple of years only because we live in the center of Houston. I wish Perry's had another Italian Grill in Houston, I would visit much more frequently.

MY REVIEW: We have been going to Perry's Italian for several years. However, the last 3 trips have been disappointing.
The service is always great. But, you don't go for the service. The taste of the food has become bland and "out of a can" taste over the past 3 visits.
Took my wife for our anniversary in April. I had made up my mind if the quality of the food was not what it used to be, they could kiss me goodby forever.
They gave me a "kiss goodbye"

MY REVIEW: went for the valentines special, 49.00 per person for a three-course meal. that seemed little high, but we had a 50.00 gift certificate to use up.
The atmosphere was lovely as always and the waitstaff was excellent. The plates came out in quick succession, all looking as if they'd been mass-assembled in the kitchen hours before and re-heated, the sort of thing you'd expect at a convention dinner, not a romantic restaurant. very disappointing. The food was average. I had salmon picatta and my husband had veal - both unremarkable. The portions were shockingly small, considering the price they commanded. The house wines were 10.00 a glass. We left he restaurant with a tab of 150.00 - not worth half that.
We won't be back. T*ommy's Steakhouse right down the road is a much better experience all around.

MY REVIEW: It was a fantastic anniversary evening. Since we made reservations, the table was covered with rosepetals in recognition of our special evening. My wife ordered the Tomato Basil Pasta (the sauce was so light and a perfect compliment to the filet medallions that topped it) and I had the Arrabiata Pasta topped with grilled shrimp (a little bit spicy, but not to). We enjoyed a great bottle of pinot noir. The atmosphere is so cozy and personal...not as frenzied as the Steakhouse and set to a background of light Italian music. The server we had was very knowledgeable, making suggestions but not pushy. We will be back again and again!

MY REVIEW: I have been to the Bay Area Blvd. steakhouse a number of times, and plan never to go on Fridays or Saturdays again. However, the Italian Kitchen is another world, not as noisy, pretty busy, excellent waitress, although relatively new to the trade, not as dimly lit, and not as expensive.
The food was delishes. My wife had veal parmigiana and I had a shrimp and crab linguini with suga sauce (suga rosa). The caesar salad was adequate and the bread pudding very good. Although the wine is pricey, I found a adequate chianti that was cheap. The vegetables were room temperature. This must be a Perry's policy since the vegetables are also room temperature at the Bay Area Blvd. restaurant. Because I lack the capacity to include appetizers I could only drool over the listings. In any case, I plan to go back on Fridays, Saturdays, or whenever.

MY REVIEW: We had dinner there last night with friends who live nearby.
We asked about the pork chops that friends recommended. She said that they offered them, but the Steakhouse, not the Italian restaurant, were known for that dish, although she thought that they were a good entrée.
My wife is a veal freak so she decides to have the the Marsala with the seven veggies. I decided on the Chicken Concetta - ditto on the seven. Both you could cut with a fork and were seasoned to our taste. More than we could eat so I'm having leftovers for lunch today.
Waitstaff VERY attentive and not pushy, like most who want you to know their life story. The owner is a friendly sort and very outgoing. He personally prepared various dessert dishes at the table, providing a pyrotechnic delight to all in the room. (Probably doesn't want to pay the insurance liability if anyone else were given the task, LOL).
Cozy, close well-lit parking. No valet b.s.
Overall, a little pricy - but not really: A bottle of good chard, "J" $31. Each entrée under $18 Lots of Pasta dishes (including Low Carb) $14 -$19 as I recall.
For the local folks, Pizza pick up parking in front.
Although somewhat out of our West U neighborhood, we will make the return trip that we promised because the experience was so pleasant.
Highly recommended!

MY REVIEW: Perry's Italian Kitchen in Sugar Land is no more. I figured it was just a question of time before it closed. Perry's S*teakhouse, bad as it is, took some of the customers. So did N*ick's and the terrible Cafe N*atalie. My wife and I always had great service and food at Perry's Italian. I think the problems started when they changed the menu. Favorites were removed only to show up at their newly opened steakhouse. Then they took away the always included salad and raised prices. It didn't go unnoticed. In fact, I mentioned it to the manager. He said there was nothing he could do about it since, Mr. Perry wanted it that way. The sign on the door said a new restaurant will be opening. I guess it'll still be under Perry's guidance. What's next, Perry's M*exican Cafe? That's all we need is another mexican food joint.

MY REVIEW: Best Italian food in Clear Lake. A little pricey but worth it. It has become our restaurant for special occasions. Food, service, atmosphere are all excellent. We haven't ordered anything that was less than top-notch. No weak points that i've seen.

MY REVIEW: It had been a while since we were at Perry's and decided to give it a try since we live close by. First, we had to wait at least 5 minutes for the hostess to show up at the front desk. After we were seated it took a while for the waiter to show up. He barely spoke above a whisper and was obviously new. After we ordered it took forever to get our food, veal parmagiano and chicken diavalo. The veal was not very tender and greasy. The chicken dish was overly salty. These entrees came with a side of potatoes which were nothing more than frozen diced potatoes. Everything on the menu is overpriced. I do why restaurants can't throw a salad in with the entrees. When you pay $17 for veal parmagiano, a little salad would have been nice. I did not want to pay $6 for salad. I doubt we will ever go there again.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I ate at Perry's for our wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful dinner. It was very quiet and romantic. We had the crab cakes to start off with. They were excellant!!! For dinner I had pasta with shrimp and crabmeat which was outstanding. My husband also had a pasta dish which he enjoyed. As for the service it was perfect. They left us alone and only came to the table at the right times. We were actually able to have a good conversation without being bothered by the waiter. I would definetly suggest Perry's if you are looking for a quite and romantic night out. I don't suggest bringing children. We will be back again...

MY REVIEW: Just a word to anyone who would like to try the "Spinach and Crabmeat Pasta": DON'T!!! This was easily the worst $17 I've ever spent on a particular dish. Bland, boring and hardly a piece of crabmeat in sight. Then, on the recommendation of the waiter, my wife ordered a raspberry martini that the waiter raved about. Unfortunately, it was void of any sweetness (he said it was "like candy") and so he suggested we add a shot of grenadine to sweeten it. Of course, when we got the bill he charged us for the grenadine. Thanks for nothing, pal!

MY REVIEW: This restaurant was highly recommended and we decided to try it in spite of some not so glowing reviews here. The door hostess was the typical high school girl who could care less if the place stayed in business and we started to be concerned. But, our waiter turned out to be very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals. If anything, it was a little pricey but not too far out of line for the quality of the food and the good service. I will try them again.

MY REVIEW: We've been going to Perry's Italian for several years now. It's one of our favorites places to eat for a quiet dinner. The food has always been good along with the service. I wouldn't recommend the Shrimp Scampi though. It's not what you would consider the traditional dish. The calamari has been a hit or miss at times. They have done some cutbacks which has disappointed us. The house salad, which is very good, is no longer included with the entree. Some of our favorite dishes are no longer on the new menu. The steak is always good along with the fish dishes. The banana foster is very good and is very popular. We've never had bad service here. We have noticed on Saturday nights it hasn't been as crowded. I'd like to think that the new Perry's S*teakhouse is to blame. Perry's Italian will always be one of our favorites.
