5192 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, Texas 77005

MY REVIEW: We waited only 10 minutes at 6pm on a Saturday for a table for three adults and two children. Once we were seated we were promptly seen to by the staff. A highchair needed replacement(strap was broken) and our server quickly replaced it. Wine came quickly (always a plus), food was served at just the right time. Hot and very tasty. It's served family style, one big bowl on the table and you all help yourselves. We had spaghetti and meatballs; the sauce tasted like it was made with freshly cooked tomatoes. Very nice.

Overall, the service was top notch and the food was good. It was noisy but not unpleasant. We liked the noise level because we weren't worried about the children (3 years and 17 months) disturbing other diners.

MY REVIEW: My first visit to 19075 I-45 South Conroe at a birthday Party had a great time and ate great food until the waitress wasted ice cold water on me... just want to tell you all to make sure that the waitress is good and awake and focus so you want get soaked with ice cold water.

MY REVIEW: Not nearly what it was 4 or 5 years ago...

What's happened to this place? I am strictly focusing on the Buffalo Speedway location in this review. First off, I should say that nearly all the staff at this place work really hard, have to deal with a lot of impatient people and do it all with a smile. I appreciate that. However, the quality of food at this restaurant has gone down hill noticeably. I ordered the formerly succulent Shrimp Fra Daviolo and what I got was a mass of undercooked penne, a few growth-stunted shrimp misted with a couple thimblefuls of tasteless sauce and a lot of red pepper flakes. Also got the baked ravioli and it had approximately as much flavor as a piece of damp cardboard. The magic of this place when it first opened was that you were getting food that tasted truly homemade and yet was doing it on a massive scale. It just isn't like that anymore. It's still a fun place to go with a group, but I have to wonder if people will still be willing to wait an hour for a table with food like this...

MY REVIEW: Very mixed. The service was very good. The ambience is marred by the evident fact that the place is a shrine to just about every one of the most tawdry Show-biz "celebrities" you can imagine. I had the luncheon menu. The house red is not very nice. The Cæsar salad was very ordinary and the baked rigatoni good. The Italian Cream Cake was unlike anything I have previously had under that name, but very good and certainly creamy. The luncheon menu was appropriately priced.

MY REVIEW: I have not been back to this restaurant for a year or two, but I have a $25 GC to spend so my family visited yesterday late afternoon (Sunday). I have to say the food improved so much, so as the service. My family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) had great time there. The dish we ordered penne pasta with sundried tomato, chicken and artichoke was very good, my picky kids liked it too. Kids enjoyed their kids meal as well.

MY REVIEW: TOO NOISY.. We could not hear ourselves talk. We had a 14 people. family members The food was ok. The service was so so. The racket would give anyone a headache. I would not go if you want to talk to others at your table.

MY REVIEW: I went with a group of ~ 20 people for dinner before the A.D. theatre. My group and another were in the same room at 2 long tables with chairs placed side rim to side rim. There could be no flopping of elbows. I ordered Eggplant Parmesam. The eggplant was soaked in olive oil and crispy from frying in the oil. The tomato topping tasted 'right out the cans' that are on diaplay. No flaavoring whatsoever. This restaurant was one of the very few that my group did not come away with raves and ready to return. A busy atmosphere does not make up for this meal.

MY REVIEW: I went with my boyfriend and his step dad on a Sunday evening. The service was poor and the food was bland. Our ticket came to 98.00 for three people without tip. I had a caprese pasta dish, my boyfriend the chicken Lemone, and his dad the shrimp scampi. We had one order of garlic bread and an order of stuffed mushrooms. With two cokes and a tea, the meal was a whooping $98 bucks before tip.

The food was bland, seriously they skimped on just about everything they could. My meal was the only meal that came with pasta and you have to pay for bread and salad on top of the inflated entree prices.

MY REVIEW: I keep coming to this place because of parties. However, for italian, it's definitely not flavorful to me. I enjoy the atmosphere, but I am always disappointed by the food. M*ichaelangelos...now that's italian!

MY REVIEW: Decided to try this place for takeout as I had a $10 off coupon. Ordered Chicken Marsala, italian broccoli, and ravioli with meat sauce. Chicken marsala tasted like chicken with cheap maple syrup (the kids thought it was a sweet chinese sauce). Ravioli was better but not fantastic. Overall portion size was small, especially given the prices. Even with the $10 coupon, a terrible value. Won't be returning, even with more coupons.

MY REVIEW: Very excellent food!!!! I was very impressed with the quality of food and the menu choice. Their serving portions are very large, I usually never leave food on my plate, but I could not finish my food. Wait staff are awesome, they kept coming back and asking if we were ok. I would definitly eat here again.

MY REVIEW: I frequent this restaurant with either my husband or his whole family and thought I would post a review. The food is always Delicious and I like that we can share, I love family style meals. - after reading some of the other reviews I see that many people do not understand the concept. (sharing is a good thing!)

The atmosphere is great, every room has a different theme - you can even eat in the kitchen! The service has been a roll of the dice - it usually is pretty good to great, but I have had a few times that I got sub par service but understanding that this is a high volume place that is constantly busy, it is forgiven. I have even called them 20 min before closing and they still let us come eat a hot meal.

Overall this is my comfort restaurant and I can't wait to go back! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in having an experience like no other... fun, family style dining. PS Try the Pizza Angelo.

MY REVIEW: Management is dishonest. My friend and I were trying to find a restaurant capable of providing for our birthday party of approximately 20-25 people. Our two requirements for a restaurant were that they were able to (a) provide sufficient space for a large group and (b) allow separate checks. When we called about their capabilities, Buca di Beppo ensured us that they could do separate checks. When our group of 22 showed up, the very rude management told us they didn't do separate checks. I truly believe that they baited us by getting us in knowing that this was a large birthday party and we wouldn't be able to pick up and leave. Concerning the food - it was mediocre.

MY REVIEW: I have read the reviews below and decided to add my two cents. I always find the garlic bread tasty. But I keep coming back for the crispy eggplant! Even as leftovers, it maintains a good consistency and the flavor is great. I think they use parmesean primarily, instead of mozzarella, and lots of garlic and fresh tomatoes. Hmmm, I think I'll pick some up for dinner tonight.

BTW, they have excellent (sweet) Italian margaritas. Service is consistently good considering it's a chain. Ambiance is a little loud. Parking is ample. Prices are little high, but I get about 3 meals out of one small serving of the eggplant.

MY REVIEW: GREAT CALAMARI, GREAT CHEF!

totally in the mood for calamari today and drove for 20 minutes just to get an order from Buca. after getting my order in such a short time, i hopped into my car and realized that my battery was DEAD. now, when you're on chemotheraphy, there are some times you just wish you were dead. this was definitely one of those moments. but lucky, there was a lady chef who showed up in the parking area and within 15 minutes helped me jump my car and i was back on the road again!

definitely will continue to go to Buca AGAIN AND AGAIN!
