MY REVIEW: This place was awful!!! Service was soooo slow. Poor Homecoming Party next to us had to leave to get to the dance, and owners were trying to make them take their food to go. They just wanted to pay for their salads and drinks. We had to wait 15 minutes at the table before we ordered drinks (it was not crowded)!! Table next to us was complaining about slow service too. Manager just kept laughing like it was no big deal. Food finally came and it was YUCK!Tomato Capresse was like the olive sandwich mix found on hoagies. Meatballs were worse than frozen. It was just awful!!!!!

MY REVIEW: Like some of the previous reviewers, I used to think the food here was fantastic. I would definitely have driven the 45 miles from Houston to Galveston just to dine here. My last visit, however (before this one) was in 2003. After my experience tonight I can say that something has gone terribly, terribly wrong at Luigi's. The menu was wrong- too many dishes overcomplicated by weird combinations like ravioli with smoked duck AND alfredo sauce. Not enough classic Italian, not even close. The veal osso bucco, which used to be fabulous, was a big heaping mass of basically pot-roast with a giant bone with NO marrow inside it. If it even was veal, it was not the best cut of meat. Even the spaghetti marinara (ordered off the menu, because they didn't have a single pasta dish that wasn't cream or smoked duck based except for eggplant parmigiana) tasted worse than the O*live Garden. I don't even consider dining at the O*live Garden. Pasta was not cooked to order or else the line chef back there was sleeping on the job, because it was about 20 minutes past "al dente." And the wine list....don't get me started. It was small, boring, not particularly Italian, marked up at least 400% instead of the usual 200-300%, and there were hardly any vintages even listed alongside the bottles. All and all, very very sad to learn that one of the finest culinary jewels of Galveston is no more. What happened?

MY REVIEW: Luigi's is the best Italian food in Galveston. (All the bad reviews must be for that place in Houston). It's small, quiet, and the food is delicious. The Antipasto Freddi had a variety of foods I had never even eaten before. The staff was attentive, but not intrusive. They don't rush you in and out...you actually get to enjoy your meal. You can go for a casual dinner or a more formal occasion. All in all, a great experience. If you want italian food while you're on the island, this is where you need to get it.

MY REVIEW: Outstanding decor, food, wine and service. Big-city quality in a town where most places deep-fry everything. Highly recommended. (I second the comments below about people posting reviews of the other Luigi's.)

MY REVIEW: Went not knowing what to expect. Asked for suggestion, but used this site for guidance. Viewed the resturant via web and menu. Picked the special of the day and my wife and I were VERY, VERY, VERY pleased. Met Mr. Luigi, took a picture with him...it was wonderful. The Strand added a nice touch as well. I reserved the Wine Room and was not displeased. Will go again..FOR SURE and so on and so forth..

MY REVIEW: Luigi is authentic. The food, the staff, the wine list are all excellent. Has become our favorite Italian restaurant anywhere! Ask for the specials before you decide!
You haven't lived till you've heard Luigi sing Happy Birthday or Anniversary in his operatic baritone Italian!
We always make reservations and never have to wait even 1 minute...

MY REVIEW: I went there for the first time with family and we were not impressed. The wait was long and the drinks werent all that great. When we finally got seated our waiter pretty much ignored us until we waived him down for some water. We noticed that he was laughing and paying way more attention to the two tables on each side of us. When our food finally came out it looked alright, nothing "Wow". We noticed that the people around us had amazing looking dishes and apparently it was lamb, which wasnt on the menu. When I asked the waiter if there was a special of the day, he looked at us and said, "Didnt I tell you? Oh, i guess I forgot" then walked away. He came back with our check and whispered to me, "It wasnt that great". Well damn, he could of fooled me because as we were getting up we noticed everyone ordered the "special". At this point M*cDonalds sounded good. Ive had better service there as well!Overall, we just felt really uncomfortable and stupid for wasting our time and money there. Would never go back!

MY REVIEW: HEY FOOLS!!!!! This is NOT, repeat NOT!!!! the little Luigi's in a strip mall restaurant in Houston. This is THE LUIGI'S in GALVESTON!!!!! The chef is LUIGI!!!! Formerly of the great Italian restaurant D*'s in downtown Houston. Don't review something if you can't even figure out where you are eating!!!! This place is 5 star, highest reviews from Zagats. Superb food.

MY REVIEW: A great change of pace from standard Galveston seafood fare. The food is excellent, the service attentive and the decor romantic. One of my favorite places in the area.

MY REVIEW: I alway love the relaxing Italian music at Luigi's. The waiters are friendly and efficient, but most of all, the food is the best Italian in all of NW Houston. To match their quality, you have to pay double the price. The Chicken Catachattore is one of my favorites here. I like to take my dates here because they are alway impressed with the entire dining experience. They also feature the traditional Italian desserts - the cannoli, teramasu, and spumoni. My choice is the spumoni.

MY REVIEW: If you want Italian food prepared the Sicilian style, go here. Salvadore and Francesca are some of the best chefs in the Houston area. The Redfish Sicilians is great. It comes with a marinara sauce filled with crawfish and crabmeat that is simply fabulous. From the appetizer of the fried calamari to the dessert of teramasu, it is all prepared beautifully and very tasty. If you want a great meal for the family or just the special lady in your life, don't miss this stop.

MY REVIEW: Luigi's is a mediocre resturant. The waitstaff was quick and new what to say. The meal was average, taste was good but not original. The atmosphere wasn't very italian-needed more decorations
On a scale from 1-10, I would give it a 4.

MY REVIEW: Luigi's is always great and have very good prices. It is also great when we are in a pinch for time. Their location doesn't face the road and Luigi's is still a secret to many in the Willowbrook area.
We haven't bought [pizza places named] in 2 years and I'm happy to drive the 20 minutes to pick up at Luigi's.
