MY REVIEW: Looking for something other than fast food at lunchtime, I found this restaurant. Very friendly waitresses took my lunch order (beef fajita nachos to go) and 7-8 minutes later, food was delivered hot and fresh. Reasonably priced ($6.95) includes charro beans and salsa. Food tasted good and I will be returning soon to try other menu items!!

MY REVIEW: One of the best taquerias in H-town. Thier lunch specials come with soupy beans, rice, salad, fajitas, tortillas and drink for 6.95. Whenever I'm on that side of town I schedule time to go to Cancun. See you there.

MY REVIEW: I highly recommend this location. My husband and I have been going for years and we always leave as a satisfied customer. We visit 2-3 times a week because we love the fact that as soon as we walk in the door, a waitress is already getting our drinks and they approach us by calling us by our names. Their knowledge of their customers needs and wants are outstanding. All the waitresses are great and the food is always fantastic. The two reasons that we continue to visit is great food and great service!

MY REVIEW: We went to Taq Cancun in South Houston last week all set to eat shrimp tostadas. WELL - they were OUT OF SHRIMP. OUT OF SHRIMP AT 6:30 P.M. on a weeknight. We had already ordered our drinks so we decided to stay. Their food is good but I WANTED SHRIMP!!!

MY REVIEW: I actually enjoy Cancun. I won't eat at any Tex-Mex restaurant. To me it is not aunthetic. I was raised near Spring Branch where most of these restaurants are.
Food I can't complain I am satisfied everytime I go. The one on Gessner next to B*askin Robbins is the one I go to for the service, its great! The one at Gessner/ Hammerly I only use their drive-thru. Service inside, well I feel like the waitresses could spend more time recieving their customers less time gossiping. If anyone is looking for a "real" mexican food.

MY REVIEW: This has been my favorite taqueria bar none for 10 years!
My husband introduced me to to Cancun on our first date. I wasn't impressed much by the ambience, but once the food came I was hooked. Their large fajita meals are wonderful! We get the biggest for our family of four, and walk away stuffed. That's saying a lot, because my husband can put away a lot of food!
It comes with beans and rice for everyone, along with queso, pico sour cream, and guacamole, The large plate has beef, chicken, and shrimp fajitas, but we always politely ask for "no pollo", and they bring our order with extra beef and shrimp; which is just the way we like them!
When my husband gets sick, the only thing he will eat is Cancun's Caldo de Res. He says it reminds him of his mother's soup. We have moved away from Houston, but we stop on the way out of town after every visit and get a large order to go. We also get a couple of quarts of their salsa' I've never had any like it before but it is wonderful.
As far as the service, I can't speak spanish but can get my order across. We always tip well, and the waitresses remember that on our next visit!

MY REVIEW: Well run taqueria with good food. I eat at lots of taquerias. They are all different and this is one of my favorites. The barbacoa is excellent and they are not stingy with the meat -loaded. It's a taco joint first and foremost. The guacamole is some of the best I have had -thick, mashed avocados with minced cilantro, onion and lots of lime. The meneudo is great too, lots of honeycomb meat and not watery; also very clean and tasty. The guys run the grill and the girls run the rest. Very little english, so what, they know what you want and don't condescend my crappy spanglish. Prices are very low.
The place is friendly, fast and everyone seems happy.

MY REVIEW: My wife and I eat here at least twice a month. The enchilada plate is my favorite, getting one beef, one pork, and one shrimp. We do run into the language barrier on occasion, but it usually gets worked out. Being from Corpus Christi comes in handy that way. And it's hard to beat the huge glass of tamarindo drink. I must admit that we've had a few not-so-good experiences there. Consistency seems to be something the third world has yet to fully grasp. And I've never understood why they can't bring out both plates of food at once. It's one, then the other. Go figure.

MY REVIEW: A great taqueria that offers quick but satisying meals at a very reasonable price. The service has always been good. If the waitstaff is a little weak on English sometimes, hey, it's a taqueria. More to the point, they've always taken my order correctly. They're friendly, too.
The beef enchiladas are very good and the tacos are even better. The tortas are decent: no complaints about 'em, but they're nothing to rave about either. The milanesa plate is quite good.
I agree with the other reviewers who weren't impressed with the cheese enchiladas, but one item doesn't, or shouldn't, make or break the menu. I haven't been in a restaurant yet that didn't have one ot two dishes offered that weren't up to scratch.
They offer great breakfasts, and at a very reasonable price.
All in all, a very good place to eat.

MY REVIEW: We have been going here for years. Everyone we have taken there loved it. They've become regulars. Their beef enchiladas are the best in town. We have always gotten good service. Refills have always arrived without asking for them. Over the past few years the price of the lunch special has steadily gone up. However, entree of your choice with your soup and drink both included is still worth the cost. Not all of the staff speaks good English. However, I find that a small price to pay. The enchiladas are better than P*appasitos and much cheaper. The tostadas are a steal.

MY REVIEW: Most of the food here is pretty good. All except the cheese enchiladas, which are not worth ordering. The only other thing is, that if your not care full the cashier will try to over charge you. I go there 4 times a week and she will nearly do it every time. So other than trying to repeatedly rip their customers off, the food itself is good.

MY REVIEW: New management apparently has saw fit to make changes. Not a good thing. Warm salsa served with the intro chips is now replaced with a cold bitter one. That was the last visit. Today, I find, they changed the chips as well and were missing two very popular beers.
For 3 years, I patronized this restaurant at least twice per week. Today, in the short time I was there, I witnessed another patron express is dissatisifaction and remarked," I won't be back".
I left and told the manager, I too would eat elsewhere. He didn't seem to care!

MY REVIEW: I just get mad everytime I have gone. I feel ripped off. Poor service and I was not at all impressed with the food. I tried to like it as I work near by and it would be nice to have another restaurant to pick from for a change, but I will never go back.
