MY REVIEW: We had the brunch at the San Jacinto location. The drinks were great. The food horrible. It took a while to get our appetizers and our food. I had the Eggs Salmon. The English muffin was soggy the egg on top was cold, too many capers-salty. My husband had the Eggs Mia. mushrooms tasted funny, nothing special about it.

MY REVIEW: We just tried this place for Sunday brunch. We were seated right away, and our waitress took our drink orders quickly. I had a mimosa which was very good, and the price was really affordable. After that we had to wait quite a while for our order to be taken, and the food took a very long time to come out. We ordered a fruit plate to share, and it took 25 minutes to arrive. It was very good though - fresh strawberries, cantaloupe, and honeydew served with a vanilla bean yogurt dipping sauce and candied pecans. My husband had stuffed French toast and enjoyed it, and I had the Eggs Benedict with prosciutto. The meal took about 45 minutes to arrive, but when it did we thought everything tasted great and was beautifully presented. The decor is really nice as well, but the restaurant still feels comfortable. There's outdoor seating available for when the weather warms up. We'll definitely go back but hopefully the pace of the service picks up a bit.

MY REVIEW: Sorry but my first visit was a bust. We asked to sit outside since the weather was nice. We waited 20 minutes for someone to even ask us what we wanted to drink. I had carried a cup of tea in from another place and after 1 1/2 hours a waiter? told me it was against policy to have outside drinks brought in. Really??? I was not offered another drink when he took my cup away. The service was just terrible and I will not be back!

MY REVIEW: We have been to Mia Bella several times. Each time service was slow but we were not in a hurry. The last time and it will be the last time service was extremely slow. We thought we were forgotten even though there where only a few people there. My husband ordered a glass of wine and got a splash of wine for $6 (seriously 4 oz). When we questioned why we got such a miserly amount we were told it was the lunch size, who ever heard of a lunch size portion of wine. The food was good but the service and price was not worth the it. Go somewhere else. There are so many better places to enjoy a good and relaxing meal.

MY REVIEW: My wife and I went to Sunday brunch at about eleven. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful with suggestions from the menu - and yes, it is a brunch menu rather than a buffet. The bellini was as good as any we've ever tasted and was very inexpensive. My wife's poached egg with crabmeat over polenta was wonderful and I had a steak and egg that was cooked to order and just right. The sauce was interesting with a Morrocan flair and was a great complement to the steak. Entrees were only about ten bucks each, but were better than some of the $25 brunch menus we've tried elsewhere. I can see why they won the "Best Brunch" rating from Houston Press. We will be back!

MY REVIEW: I was pleasantly surprised to see that given the outside decor which makes you believe your bill is gonna be in the three digit zone, the prices were very good. My girlfriend and I both enjoy italian cuisine and live in downtown. We stopped by Mia Bella on one of our House of B*lues tours. Staff was great, food was great, service was great! You have to try their pasta with sausage!!!

MY REVIEW: This beautiful restaurant is a warm welcome to the area. The dishes are prepared with an Italian twist and at affordable prices. We started with the calimari and shrimp appetizers. They were both very good and not to heavy on the sauces. For the main entree I tried the salmon pastry with grilled vegetables and loved the presentation. It was dellicious and cooked perfectly. The new staff was knowledgable of the menu and often provided their personal selections on what they liked.
I had to try the keylime cheesecake. Fantastic and melts in your mouth! We then went back to try their weekend brunch and had another excellent experience. The manager on duty James, was their again and accommodated our requests. This will definetly become a very popular restaurant in Sugar Land! We will visit again soon!

MY REVIEW: What a disappointment, I used to like this place back when they started many years ago, lured by a travelzoo voucher made it back twice and both times food was terrible: salads overly sweet, rib eye inedible gristle, ossobuco overcooked and also too sweet! The only dish my partner and I enjoyed of all six that we sampled in both dinners was the scallops. To add insult to injury, the manager last time (Brad?) was unprofessional, arrogant and unhelpful. We asked for a table in the main room where there were three empty tables, he said they were "reserved" I told him I had a reservation too, but he refused and gave us a table on the side room where there was a large group of loud teenagers, the whole time we were there the empty tables in the main room remained empty, thanks a lot Brad! I will never go back not even with a fifty percent discount voucher, not worth my time or money.

MY REVIEW: Reeled in by a travel zoo voucher, I was mostly pleased but it was a Saturday night and they were completely full which they couldn't quite handle. The waiter seemed overwhelmed, the manager was spending more time filling in the gaps than managing, etc. The wine list was OK but not impressive, still Alexander Valley for $36 is fair; some of the dishes were impressive: the calamari was fresh and delicious, the mozzarella was also very fresh. The salads were average and the mains were barely average. The medium rare NY Strip came out medium to well with an excuse rather than apology; the lamb was cooked right and had good flavor. In summary, we might give it another chance but won't be "running back".

MY REVIEW: Never again! We went to Vintage Park to listen to the live music on the square and asked to sit on the patio. We were ignored (not even water) for 10-15 minutes, even though waiters came outside and looked at us. My wife finally went to the hostess stand and asked for a waiter. A server finally came out and brought waters and took our drink orders, which took another 10 minutes. Then a different waiter came and took our food order. Then a manager came over and asked if everything was OK, and we told him point blank that the service was inattentive and we were not happy. He obviously did nothing. We chose the goat cheese puttanesca appetizer. It arrived in a large coffee cup (think a cappuccino cup) with three small pieces of garlic crostini. The appetizer was delicious but the three pieces of toast were not nearly enough for the large appetizer serving, so we asked for more. The waiter (after being asked twice) brought us three more small pieces. The main course of cappellini di mare was good but not great. The party at the next table were ordering their drinks two at a time because the service was SO slow. Final insult: they charged us $3.00 for the three extra little pieces of toast. I'm not a harsh critic and I know mistakes happen and I don't expect a meal to be comped. But this was truly awful service. Next time we'll spend our money somewhere where they actually care about customers.

MY REVIEW: Met some friends for lunch today...they got the usual Chicken Parmesan...but I went for the Seafood Pizza (Del Pescatore). Absolutely delicious. Quite possibly the best pizza I've ever had!

MY REVIEW: Decided to go to Mia Bella in Vintage Park for a third date because my date and I were craving some rich Italian food. Mia Bella is the place for this! I had on of their specials, a steak that came with mushroom risotto, shrimp and asparagus and an out of this world sauce.... it was FANTASTIC, all the flavors came together perfectly, it was very satisfying. My date had their house salad, and loved it so much that she ordered one to go to have for her lunch the next day. She had the sausage rigatoni which was rich, satisfying, and just what she wanted. Our server never let us run out of bread or wine. It was a great experience, and we will most definitely be back.

MY REVIEW: Called and made reservations for the bar for a Sunday Brunch party. Called again the day before to confirm the reservation and there was no problem. On arrival on Sunday morning, found that some seats at the bar were reserved for the bartender's "special customers"; asked why this was not mentioned when the reservation was made and got no answer. Brought the problem to the managers attention but he said that the decision was up to the bartender. So it ended up that some of the party sat at the bar and some had to sit at a table. Because we had made a complaint, we ended up with a bartender with an attitude. And those "special guests" that the seats were being held for - they never showed up. By the way, the "bottomless" mimosas advertised on their menu, that doesn't exist anymore. Will never return.

MY REVIEW: The women in my family get together every Christmas for a day of theater and dining out. It was my choice to dine at Mia Bella. I regret my decision greatly. We arrived on time for reservations at 5pm on a Sun. The restaurant was totally empty and outside of the table being set, it appeared they were totally unprepared for dinner service. Very long wait time between cocktails, appetizers and entree. Those in my party who had the filet were pleased, but noted the veggies were too "herby". Chicken parmesan was fair. My daughter's clam and mussel pasta was barely fair. Worst of all was my dish the giant stuffed meatballs. Don't even think it was stuffed and it was so rock hard, surely it was a "leftover". Couldn't have been made fresh. Overall extremely disappointed with both food and service. Will never return

MY REVIEW: This was our second visit and were celebrating my wife's birthday with family and friends. I had made reservations several days earlier and our table was set and ready upon our arrival. Even though the restaurant was busy with Homecoming parties, our service seemed quick and attentive. Nearly everyone in our party was impressed with their entrees. One person said the grilled salmon filet was the best she'd ever had.
I had signed up for their e-mail list after our first visit and my wife was sent a birthday certificate for a bottle of champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries. We enjoyed and shared them with our table after dinner. The birthday girl also ordered some of their amazingly delicious tiramisu and graciously shared with us after she had her fill.
Now that it's finally cooling off, we hope to go back and sit outside to enjoy the atmosphere of the surrounding restaurants and the live music on the weekends.
