MY REVIEW: The brisket was okay and the link was very good. I tried both spicy and regular link. The tomato based sauce served here is warm and wonderful. It was smokey with not too much spice. Only downside is I like BBQ for dinner and they are closed at 7:30 p.m. and not open on Sunday. The other thing is the parking lot is either empty or else you can't find a place to park even though there may only be a handful of people inside. Odd charisma but okay to very good BBQ. BTW... I like L*l*ng C*ty Mark*t also.

MY REVIEW: Although the place looked nice enough, and I did not see anyone looking angry or crying onto their plates, I tried the "ribs" twice... and both times they were bony things all dried and overcooked with virtually no meat on them. The person who was with me during those two visits ordered brisket, and he said that the meat was "so-so." Whoever reported that this place was the "best" in Houston has evidently not been to a really "best" place. They would likely even go for that terrible "Luling City Market" over on Richmond. Thumbs down on Charlies #3 on Bissonnet.

MY REVIEW: I have been going to Charlie's for years now and it is by far the BEST place to eat BBQ. Whoever said Charlie's is Horrible is someone with bad taste, in fact that person probably goes to L*uther's. What a joke!!! Charlie's is the BEST and if you don't believe me, just ask Marvin Zindler!

MY REVIEW: This place was horrible! The portions were small, the walls were filthy and the food was poor.
I do not know how this place recieved a Zindler award... maybe his sunglasses were too dark when he ate there.

MY REVIEW: Of the two BBQ restaurants we have tried in 77401, this one is by far the best. They actually serve real BBQ at very reasonable prices. Delicious beef, very tasty sausage, and the portions are quite generous. In fact, the people that work here even answered a question of mine with more than just a blank stare! Charlie's is definitely an honest-to-goodness BBQ joint in the middle of Bellaire. For good BBQ, there is no place else in this area.
