Jamaica me Crazy
9347 Richmond Ave, Houston, Texas 77063
MY REVIEW: I saw the sign coming soon for quiet awhile and I was excited to know that another Caribbean restaurant was about to be opened in the area. It was no surprise when I received an email about the grand opening, I mad it an appointment to patronize the restaurant on its grand opening. Upon entering the restaurant I heard the reggae music and the ambiance was very nice. It took me back to the island; therefore, I was impressed with the overall look and feel of the place.
I quickly pursue the menu and the prices appeared to be fairly reasonable. I ordered the escovitch fish, rice & peas, salad and the red kidney beans soup. I received my entrée within 5 – 10mins and the overall presentation was very appealing. My soup was very tasty and delicious; however, the same could be said for the rest of the meal. The fish was served in two fillet pieces which was very surprising because escovitch fish isn’t served like that on the island. The taste of the meal was bland and lacking flavor. I know that this was there opening and I hope with time they will get it right. Perhaps, some time next year I will visit them to see if they have improve any.
