MY REVIEW: This is the best Thai in Houston by a fair margin. The kee mow beef (Thai Basil Beef) is a perfect combination of flavors; superB!!!! Pad See Ew and Jalapeno Chicken are among the favorites of my coworkers. A palace by no means, and they only accept cash, but it is certainly worth whatever hassle you may consider that to be. Bob cries when he finishes his plate.

MY REVIEW: If you want simple and cheap but tasty Thai food then try this place.
I usually take it to go because the place is very small. My favorite is the kee mao chicken (Thai Basil Chicken). By far this is the best kee mao chicken I have had in any of the Thai places around town. You can get it as a regular portion or a 1/2 that is on top of steamed rice.
The menu is VERY small but the taste is better than the big Thai places.

MY REVIEW: Thai Racha is one of my favorite places to eat. They offer great Thai fast food at low prices, and the employees are really nice folks.
For vegetarians they offer Garlic Tofu, Jalapeno Tofu, Kee Mow Tofu, Pad Thai Noodles with Tofu (stir-fried Thai noodles with egg, ground peanuts and bean sprouts), Pad See Ew Noodles with Tofu (stir-fried Thai noodles with broccoli), Red Curry Tofu (Thai red curry, coconut milk and bamboo shoots), and Mixed Vegetable Tofu. Their meat entrees are the same dishes with a choice of chicken or beef instead of the tofu. Entrees are typically served over steamed white rice. The Mixed Vegetable Tofu includes cabbage, broccoli, celery, carrots and of course, tofu. It’s nothing special, but a decent basic vegetarian dish.
Prices are great. When I wrote this review you could get a small entrée for under $5 and a large for under $6.
I highly recommend the Kee Mow Chicken if you like spicy (served with onion, mint leaves, and Thai Kee Mow chili paste), and the Garlic Chicken (served with soy sauce, garlic, white pepper, fresh cucumber and tomato) if you don’t. I must admit that I didn’t care for the Kee Mow Chicken the first time I tried it, but now I am seriously addicted. It was too spicy for me until I became used to it, and I found the Kee Mow flavor a bit peculiar. However, by the second time I tried it I was hooked. Now I seek it out whenever I can.
Their spring rolls are made with chicken, but they also offer a vegetarian version which is filled with lettuce, cucumber, and carrot. They are served with a sweet soy sauce dip with chopped peanuts. Be sure to ask if you want the vegetarian version – they’re not listed on the menu. They’re not the best spring rolls I’ve ever tasted, but they are good and tasty, and the ingredients are very fresh. They also offer egg rolls (ground pork & chicken), Thai soups and salads, curry dishes, fried rice dishes, Thai iced tea, Thai iced coffee, and sweet rice with custard for desert. Soups include Tom Yum Chicken (chicken and mushrooms in a hot and sour soup with lemon grass and kaffir lime leaf), Tom Ka Chicken (chicken with light coconut milk and spicy lime sauce), and Vegetable Chicken (Napa cabbage with chicken in chicken broth).
It’s a great place but if you’re into ambiance find somewhere else to eat. It’s a small building that from the exterior almost looks like it’s gone out of business. The outside of the restaurant is in need of a good paint job, and the parking lot could stand to be repaved. Although the interior is also weathered, they do a good job of keeping the place clean. The place only seats 22, but tables are usually available. Your food is prepared after you order, so there is a short wait. They have a drive-through window, but you’ll probably have to wait around 10 minutes for your food. I think most customers get their food to go. The food is served in Styrofoam containers with plastic cutlery whether you are taking your food to go or eating in.
There is no wait staff. You order at the register and pick your food up when they call you over, but if it’s slow they’ll often bring your food to your table. Bus your own table. They have condiments on the counter by the register, but it’s not your typical salt & pepper. There are jars of chopped peanuts, sliced jalapenos, sugar, and chili powder.
Their prices are excellent - comparable to a fast food burger joint - but the difference being that here the food is really good.

MY REVIEW: the ambiance isn't good, but if you think of it as thai fast food you will be pleasantly surprised. The food is a bit greasy but great - kee mao chicken, pad thai and spring rolls are regulars. If you are nearby, call in or stop by and pick up some goodness..

MY REVIEW: I highly recommend the pad thai chicken and the tom ka chicken soup. The soup will cure yer ailments...serious. nice spice and was the only thing that made me feel better during a serious sinus infection and cold. I wish they would sell it by the gallon or I could rip off the recipe.
Yes, the place looks like a dump...but dont judge till you try the soup.
prices decent.
I tried the jap bf like a previous reviewer raved about...they must have been out of japs and put bell pepper instead...no heat. meat was dry. I am sticking to my tried and true.
the fried rice is pretty good too.

MY REVIEW: Service is fast and friendly. Prices are definitely inexpensive for Thai food. I like to order our food as take-out here (the decor is plain and not too exciting). I love the Kee Mao- it is full of Thai basil and is delicious, containing the perfect amount of spice. The fried spring rolls are pretty good, too. Previous reviews have mentioned a lack of meat; however, each time I have gone here, I felt like our portions of meat were not lacking in the slightest. I will definitely go back, and would recommend this restaurant to anyone desiring a cheap, fast, and tasty Thai meal in the Spring Branch area.

MY REVIEW: The place looks like an old (70's era) K*FC. There is no frills, no tablecloths, "sporks" instead of fine silverware. But they do deliver high quality hawker style thai cooking. Great for a quick bite or for some take out. Some people complain about skimpy meat servings....what do you want to M*cD's prices! They do have a limited menu, but it is all good. The curry is great (both red and green). The jalapeno beef is by far one of the hottest dishes i have ever eaten!
go and enjoy

MY REVIEW: Ugly surroundings can make going into this place inimidating. Courteous service.
Good food, but greasy. Don't ask for off menu Thai dishes (like Musman curry) - the only Thai food that exists for them is on their little menu. Priced right for amount given. Recommend the Pad Thai, and the Tom Yum.

MY REVIEW: I used to eat here often. I would have a beef dish with rice and a wonderful blend of lime leaves, spices, onions and garlic. Occasionally I would get the same dish with chicken. Even though the dish was mostly rice, it still had a lot of meat. I quit going because the meat became almost non existant. Approx eight months ago I decided to gice them another try. The meat was still almost non existant. I doubt if i'll ever go back.

MY REVIEW: Food was good and cheap and the place was clean and friendly. Only thing was that chicken dish was mostly rice and not that much chicken.

MY REVIEW: I dream about this place! Go on inside this little joint and admire the friendly people behind the counter and the cleanliness of the overall area. For the best soup in the world, a soup that will wake you up craving more, a soup that should be ordered twice to take some home with you go with the Tom Kha Chicken Soup. It is excellent and life altering! For the meal you can't beat the Garlic Beef, but I really recommend the Kee Mau Chicken (I think I just butchered the spelling). Go ahead and get an order of the egg rolls as well, the sweet sauce that comes with them is better than I've had anywhere else.
To tell the truth I haven't strayed from those items so I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but the different options for the curry dishes are interesting, heck, I bet the entire menu is great! Now, I've never had the fried rice but I cringe when I hear anyone order it there. Seems wrong, maybe its just me. But do go to Thai Racha, eat there with a plasic fork and spoon, bring the "condiment" tray to your table and pile on the red pepper and peanuts. But don't try to get an I.V. of the soup, they don't offer one.

Brief Description: This is a gem of a fast food Thai cafe offering authentic Thai food at very reasonable prices. It is one of our favorite places to grab a quick, economical meal in the Memorial City part of town.
A friend of ours orders the Tom Kha Chicken soup which is a meal in itself for $2.60.
We like the red curry chicken ($3.65), and the Pad Thai ($3.79 large). Also recommended are the garlic chicken ( $4.49) and the crispy egg roll ($.79 each).
We've also heard good things about the Thai chicken salad with lime ( $2.99). Try a limeade with your meal.
The place is clean and the people are very personable. There is even a drive up window.
