MY REVIEW: Fadi's is now all over town and in other cities. This new one is great! Could hardly wait for it to open! All have a buffet line where you take your tray and order what you want. Free pita bread. Pick out a salad or two, a veggie or two, and an entree. Entrees can be one of the specials of the day or off the grill (have to wait 10 minutes or so and they deliver to table). I love chicken kebabs, but their fish is also very good!)Can also order a half order of salads or veggies and pay lower price. I can never think of anything wrong with this place! Very healthy and Awesome!

MY REVIEW: Their vinegar chicken if off the chain. I dream about it ... this is SUCH a great place. I love the pita breads and their hummus is amazing. I love that you could go everyday and get a completely different meal. Love the cafeteria style serving. You can get in and out of there very fast.
I get in and out for around $10. WHAT?!
Does tend to fill up at 11:30 or noon --- so work around that.
DELISH.

MY REVIEW: We've been going to the Fadi's on Westheimer for years and love it! Great food at decent prices. What I love most is there seems to not be any "average" customer, all kinds go there to eat. I was surprised to read some of the negative reviews and laughed out loud at the person that was mad that no one greeted them at the door (!?) Anyway we look forward to going there again soon.

MY REVIEW: This place is awesome...an experience that I have never come across in any restaurants on the East Coast in the past 6 years. The choice of vegeterians is amazing and each item is very delicious. They have the touch of both western and asian tastes. I would love to go this restaurant time and again just for the taste of the food, experience and the ambience.
There is only 1 drawback. The place is way too crowded and is difficult to get a chair to sit resulting in long waiting time.

MY REVIEW: I much prefer this location to the other two, and have never been disappointed.
The hummus is great, the eggplant, and kabobs are perfectly seasoned and fresh. The falafel is still a favorite, and like the "old country".

MY REVIEW: I really love Fadi's food. Last night 4 of us went with 2 having fish & 2 having chicken. I had 2 salads & roasted potatos, everyone else had a Greek salad & 1 or more additional sides. Everything was fantastic. The food a Fadi's is healthy food and wonderful. The place was packed. I wish they had a location on, or just off of 290.

MY REVIEW: Excellent food, had hummus, tabouli, and mushroom salad. Then kibbee! Also baklava. All I can say is that the food was marvelous, service great, people friendly and talkative! I GREW UP EATING THIS FOOD, AND I FELT LIKE I WAS BACK HOME AS A KID! MY FATHER WOULD HAVE LOVED THIS PLACE. ONE SUGGESTION, ADD MORE WHEAT TO THE TABOULI! WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK

MY REVIEW: Have visited both locations on Westheimer, the food is very good and lots of vegetables to choose from. The entrees changes from day to day but everything I have tried at both locations is great. Love the idea of half orders, you get more variety. Will be back to both locations.

MY REVIEW: Worse service and an "I don't care, we've already got your money" attitude.
Ordered 5 plates of kabobs, only got 4. They argued with me saying I only ordered 4 even though I showed them the receipt! Food is below average. Don't waste your time.

MY REVIEW: I have eaten at the Beechnut store 2-3 times, but this was my 1st time at this location. The food was good, but there was not as large a selection---especially meats. There were only 3 meats that I saw to chose from. Maybe there were more than I'm aware of, not sure. Didn't want chicken or baked fish so I got roast beef, which was good, but I would've preferd something like shawrama or kefta. The vegetables offered more variety, but I did not notice any falafel. Fried califlower was very good as was a cold mashed potato dish flavored with lemon and parsley. Don't know the name, but it was great. And a huge serving. In fact, my meal could've served two. It was $12, which is a little more than I like to pay for lunch, but there was enough leftovers to make another meal. The couple times I have visited Fadi's on Beechnut, the bread has always been served hot and that was not the case here.
The food here is good, but given the choice, I perfer the Beechnut store because it has better selection and bread.

MY REVIEW: My new favorite place to eat! I went here with friends over the weekend and was so impressed with the quality of the food. I had the Greek salad, hummus, cauliflower, curry chicken, and everything was fabulous. There was soooo much food, though. I also tasted the cabbage rolls, which were very yummy. This will be my new favorite place to go. I like the cafeteria style atmosphere too.

MY REVIEW: I love this place, I visited the other locations on westheimer and the food just didn't taste as food, also the service was no where as outstanding as the Beechnut location. The pita bread here is insanely delicious, I normally don't enjoy simple starch and carbs, but I can't resist the pita here, it's fluffy and always freshly made. All the food is amazing and the prices are more than reasonable. You can easily split a platter with someone else because the portions are huge. My only complaint is that this it is always busy in here, it's quite loud so it's not a great place for a date or a quiet conversation. However, I'm willing to sacrifice small talk for their food.

MY REVIEW: BAD, BAD SERVICE!!! The Houston Foodies group met at Fadi's for our August dinner. I was very disappointed with Fadi's. First, no one greeted us at the door. We had a table reserved for 12. When we arrived we sat at the table. A wait staff person came over shortly after we arrived and sat at the end of our table to eat. About half way through his meal, he said we could not sit at the tables because they were reserved for a party at 3pm. I told him "we are the party." He got up and left, finishing his meal elsewhere. I had no idea it was a buffet. I am not opposed to buffets. But no one was there to explain how things worked. We didn't even know how to get plates. When I went through the line, I was rushed through. I was still checking out the salads and they were rushing me to pick out what kind of meat I wanted. I am not a big meat eater. I was more interested in the veggie side of things. I finally just asked for chicken so they would quit bothering me about what meat I wanted. The chicken was very dry and flavorless. I am allergic to mushrooms and when I tried to ask which dishes did not have mushrooms, there seemed to be a lot of confusion over what I was asking. There was also a great deal of confusion with the wait staff not being able to match plates with diners. They kept asking me which plate was mine. I had no idea what half the things on the buffet were and no one was able to explain when I asked. It didn't appear they understood English, much less could speak it. When I asked about children's plates no one seemed to understand what I was asking. I did not know I could order off the menu if I did not want the buffet. Again, no one explained anything. All in all, myself and everyone in our dinner group was very disappointed. We will will not return to this Fadi's and I cannot recommend it to anyone. It was a most unpleasant dining experience...but it was good to see everyone and my grandsons told me when we got home that they liked all my friends...lol. Apparently Fadi's doesn't care about customer feedback. I sent them an email when I got home explaining our poor experience. No one ever emailed back or called me. C'est la vie.

MY REVIEW: I went through the drive through and I was told to come inside the restaurant because they didn't always have what was on the menu. I went inside and waited to be helped and no one spoke to me or even acknowledged that I was there. The person behind the counter turned away from me and walked into the back as soon as I walked in. When two attractive women came inside behind me the manager suddenly appeared to talk to them. I was completely ignored. I left. I will not go back.

MY REVIEW: The fresh from the oven pita bread is out of this world. Fadi's also makes whole wheat pita which is to die for as well. The baba ghanoush is excellent and the cauliflower is like no other I have ever had. The cabbage rolls are wonderful, but only served on Saturday nights. A recent order of fish however had sat on the steam table so long it was dried out.
Like many ethnic restaurants, Fadi's has fallen victim to the unadventuresome American palate prevalent in Houston, Texas. Sadly for aficionados of ethnic cuisine, Fadi's has become nothing more than a mediterranean L*uby's. The cooked spinach with cheese comes straight out of a can and reminds me of the spinach served by my middle school cafeteria. The tabbouleh is nothing more than chopped parsley with very little cracked wheat, scallions and tomatoes. The hummus is a bland mixture of canned chick peas, some tahini and water. It desperately needs a serious hit or two of fresh garlic and some extra virgin olive oil. Frankly, I make better hummus at home.
It's a shame actually that a restaurant of this caliber has dumbed down otherwise good recipes for wide appeal and high profits. I prefer my Meditteranean food redolent of garlic and spices. Maybe I should send Fadi's chef a copy of Paula Wolfert's Mediterranean Cooking.
