I have tried the smothered chicken, oxtails, pork chops and they are all good. The food is the strong point. But instead of calling it , This Is It, I call it That WAS It!!! THE RUDE SERVICE is the OVERWHELMING POINT! When I last went in June they had moved to their new location. In the old location, the menu was on the wall, in the new location there was no menu. The glass on the steam table had steamed up, the lady behind the counter (with a Jheri curl - she had worked there for years) offered no assistance but stood there looking at me with a sullen look. She then helped someone else behind me and talked about how I was taking too long to make up my mind! I reported this to the owner, he apologized and said he hoped I would come back. I plan to NEVER GO BACK. The staff acts like they are doing you a favor by serving you and taking your money. They are very unproffessional. They are also the reason that a friend who had been there as a new customer,said he would never come back. That was IT! This Is IT needs to explain to its staff what Customer Service means! Ribs and oxtails are bony (of course) so those portions may look like more food than they contain. The atmosphere is loud (two TVs and the buffet line of people), and bright. I'd recommend getting the food to go - the food doesn't have delicate textures that suffer from reheating.
