MY REVIEW: My family and I have been frequenting Corelli's for quite some time and it is always consistent. Very friendly wait staff, everytime we go always the same great service. The food is excellent and reasonably priced with daily specials to keep things fresh. We love the fish specials and if we ever have an issue the staff is very quick and efficient in dealing with it.
They have had bring you own wine all summer long with no cork fee which we took advantage of! Not sure how long that's going to last but they have a superb wine list also and usually it's only a $5 corkage fee.
The new management seems to be moving in the right direction. We're interested to see what the future holds for Corelli's and if they stay consistent my family and I will keep joining them for dinner.

MY REVIEW: We have been coming here for three months and were loving it until they changed waitstaff and management. The food is not the same for some reason and the service is not personable as we were used to. I think I will go back since they are open to your comments and suggestions. They are trying to improve and will cater to you if you are unhappy with anything.

MY REVIEW: I have gone to the Westheimer location almost once a week for about 5 months. It's convienient to my job and the food is excellent. Unfortunately the service is significantly lacking is the last couple of months. When we have had a problem with our food, the waitstaff and manager has been rude and mocking. It takes some time to get your food and forever to get the check. We kept going back hoping the service would get better because we loved the food. Alas, no.

MY REVIEW: This is one of our top places to eat. We've been going here for 10 years, as often as once or twice a week. It's the first place I take people when we're looking for a new place to eat. Out of hundreds of times we've eaten there, we've had bad service only a handful of times (usually from a newly hired waiter) and we have NEVER had bad food. I agree that the one thing they need to improve is to use a real house Italian dressing. But nobody I take there, from my boss and his out-of-town vendors, to my partner's mom, has a bad word to say about the place.
We do not eat beef, veal, or poultry, so I can't speak to those, but every fish dish I have had there has been expertly prepared and tasty. We mostly have pasta. I highly recommend the linguini with red clam sauce and the shrimp pepperonata. Off-menu secret: They have a sort of cream sauce with black pepper that is divine to order in place of the alfredo sauce on a plate of linguine. The cooks will know what you mean. Add salmon and you'll have a unique and tasty meal.
Art Institute of Houston students, ask if they still have the AIH discount. When my partner was in school, we got half price on his meal with the purchase of mine at full price. (Don't forget to tip on the full price of the meal. Your waiters are likely to be your fellow students and they need the money.)

MY REVIEW: We've eaten here several times and have brought guests who all love it. Service is friendly and attentive. Last night was first time we ate outside--very nice although a placemat would be nice as the matel tables semmed a little icky to lay your silverware down on... Food is consistently excellent and they have the best breadsticks in town. It's nice to go somewhere that's not a chain and have the food be so wonderful! Only negative comment is the side of pasta sub rosa is not that great--substitute if you can.

MY REVIEW: The service is attentive and helpful. We have ordered the pork chops, the eggplant parmasean, spagetti and the tomatoe, garlic and olive oil pasta and they have all been very good. The pizza, tomatoe caprice and mushroom caps are also very good. The prices are extremely reasonable and they have a small outdoor seating area. They allow you to bring your own wine for a corkage fee which is also very nice. Oh and we had the dessert of chocolate mousse pie which also was good. This is not a high end Italian restaurant it is a casual good solid food place.

MY REVIEW: I have eaten at a lot of Italian restaurants in Houston, and this is the best food regardless of price. My family and I now go all the time. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The only draw back is it gets too packed and they don't take reservations.

MY REVIEW: I went here based on reviews I read. Horrible, will never go again. When I order a salad at an Itallian place, I expect a lively home Itallian dressing. This was terrible, Kraft bottled Italian. Ok...I will try the Minestrone. I actually sent it back. It was tomato sauce with squash. It had no pasta, no flavor. It was tomato /squash soup. My hubby's spag. and meatballs was ok. The bowl was ice cold. My son's liked the pizza ok. the Margahrita one was not cook in the middle/soggy. The waitress was just as bad. Never got the garlic bread we ordered. Had to ask for it 20 minutes later...got it ten minutes later.
No, we will not be going back ...ever.

MY REVIEW: We ate dinner there Saturday evening. We were seated in the wine room in quiet ambiance, the food was absolutely delicious, from the Bruchetta to the Salad and our entrees, her's the Scampi, mine the Salmon, and then the garlic bread, great! The service was terrific also, very attentive and pleasant. All in all a perfect evening. It did me good to see Corelli's packed, in a time when individual restaurants are being drowned out and pushed out by chain restaurants where everything seems to taste the same. I say Bravo to this jewel of a restaurant in Sugar Land. We will be back!

MY REVIEW: Cute and casual eatery. BYOB with $5.00 corkage is a big advantage. The pork chops were very good with a side of saute spinach and a side of pasta with red sauce; very tasty. The other party got the pizza and I thought that was quite good too. Service was good and we were not hurried along. Garlic bread was also garilicy and warm. Prices were mid range and when you can bring your own wine it is a great deal.

MY REVIEW: I went to the one in Sugar Land few times, great atmosphere, reasonable price and fatastic food, Oh, and the waiter is really nice too, but what impressed me the most is their desserts. Their tiramisu is so good, I really can't describe how good it is. I've never tasted any tiramisu this good, I wonder what they put in there. You just got to try it yourself, you'll definately love it.

MY REVIEW: I absolutely love this place! i am a HUGE fan of italian food and this is my favorite place in sugar land to go to. I think the portion size is excellent and the prices to me seemed about average. to me anywhere from $8 to $12 for lasagna is reasonable and they fit the bill. I no longer live in sugar land but i will drive the 45 mins just to eat at corelli's and i -hate- driving so that really says something :-P
the service can range from awesome to just ok
it's a fun place for dates and they are kid friendly.. it is rather small so might not be the place for a huge group.

MY REVIEW: I read in a previous review that this is a BYOB restaurant without a corkage fee, but alas, there is a $5 corkage fee to my disappointment. But the food was very good. My friend and I had the spaghetti with italian sausage and veal marsala, both very tasty especially with our bottle of Australian Shiraz. The veal marsala came with a side plate of spaghetti with marinara sauce, but the veal portion was a bit small relative to what Texans are used to eating. It was the perfect portion though, but my friend is an Asian girl who can't really eat that much. The tiramisu is excellent but I don't know if I would call it tiramisu. There was no hint of espresso or any coffee-liqueur that the cake part is traditionally dipped in. Tiramisu is defined as "pick-me-up" from the espresso, cocoa, and sugar ingredients. Perhaps we should have ordered the espresso and dipped our cake in it.
The atmosphere is quaint, a neighborhood restaurant type feel, not like those big Italian restaurant chains.

MY REVIEW: We were introduced to Corelli's by friends and have returned very, very often, never to be disappointed! We love bringing our own wine. The chicken portobello is superb. My husband loves the pork chops and the sausage and peppers appetizer. The Caesar salad is wonderful. Cannot think of a single negative now that the redo of the center is complete. It is my new favorite place to eat. Casual, pleasant, quick and delicious!

MY REVIEW: This would be one of the best of the best cheap and cheerful restaurants in Houston. The staff are so friendly and happy to serve you. Never over the top (is everything alright 20 times a meal annoys me) The food is always of an excellent standard, the wine list is small but adequate. The cost is very very reasonable. We often go there (at least once a month, maybe more) and have been doing so for 2 years now and have NEVER had a bad or off night. And I'm really really picky and fussy.,.... LOL Mark in Houston

The food is fresh and flavorful, the specials are always delicious (my husband is hooked on the pork chops) and we just adore the friendly staff. We now always take friends and they just love it. If you want to eat a great dinner without all the pretentiousness, we would highly recommend this place.

MY REVIEW: I also attended the Lamar Band Banquet and was extremely pleased with the food. As far as portion sizes go...our volunteer band boosters served the portions and I was very satisfied with my portion. If someone wanted more all they had to do was ask.
I have never visited your Sugar Land location that I did not leave with a full stomach. I always get execellent service and look forward to eating again soon.
I hope that we use Corelli's again in the future. We had the band students vote on the entree they wanted and since the banquet is for the kids that is really who matters. I do not think any of the kids left hungry or upset in any way. You can't please everyone all the time but it is usually the adults that seem to loose sight of what is really important.
I will visit again and will probably use Corelli's for personal catering needs in the future. JOB WELL DONE BY THE LAMAR BAND BOOSTER BOARD AND CORELLI'S.

MY REVIEW: I also attended the Lamar Consolidated High School Marching Band spring banquet which was catered by Corelli's.
They did a great job with the food and the service.
In an earlier review, Mrs. Kovar said that the portions were meager. She neglected to mention that the portions were served by volunteers from the Band Boosters, not by the Corelli's staff, so if there was a problem with the portion size, it was not something that was under Corelli's control.
But I completely disagree that the portions were meager.
She also neglected to mention that "seconds" were available, once the whole group (more than 150 people) had been served.
Personally, I had PLENTY to eat.
To the best of my knowledge, Mrs. Kovar did not express her concerns to any of the folks in charge of the banquet that night, nor has she done so since. This forum is the first that any of us heard that she was not satisfied.
Mrs. Kovar is NOT currently a member of the Band Boosters board of directors, nor was she a member of the board of directors when the decision was made to use Corelli's for our banquet. She is in NO position to say something like "Don't count on the Lamar Band Boosters to ever use you again to cater our band banquet!"
I resent her implication that she has a say in the matter. I AM on this year's board of directors, and when it comes time to select the caterer for the next spring banquet, I will not hesitate to vote for Corelli's.
The bottom line: Corelli's did a FINE job catering our banquet. The food was very good and their price and service was excellent. I heard nothing but compliments about the entire event.
