MY REVIEW: I used their web site to order two [2] large Cookie Extravaganzas - they screwed up and missed the delivery time - before noon. They called the next week to see if everything went okay when I told Shannon that they had missed the delivery time - before noon, and delivered at 4:00 in the afternoon only because I called to see if it had delivered that morning, she said something along the lines that everything was okay and I said no, it isn't okay and I was not a satisfied customer - she mumbled something and hung up. How hard is it to deliver cookies? Pretty lame.....

MY REVIEW: What are you talking about? I was so horribly disappointed the 4 times I visited the place. Yes, I revisit restaurants with bad food just in case I, on the off chance, ordered the crappiest thing on the menu the first time. I always went with friends, we each ordered something different every single time, and we share. I've tried about 10 desserts and I regretted paying so much for those supermarket cakes. Their idea of offering a variety of cakes is to slap on different icings or creams to the same recipe. The nontraditional cakes were a bit better, but not by much --- so not worth the price. Coffees are okay but I've had better. The places are small and crowded - and I don't understand why crowded. Service is good though. The people were so nice that I feel a twinge of guilt for such a bad review but there's really no excuse for serving bad cake.

MY REVIEW: This place was kinda tricky to find. But worth it. I had a friend from out of town come in and took them here to enjoy a good dessert. We were not disappointed! WE loved it! The chocolate cake was sooo rich. He had the cheesecake and he couldnt stop talking about it. The service was good and it wasn't too crowded. It was cozy so we had some privacy in our little booth, but we were not completely isolated. I would highly recommend this place.

MY REVIEW: Cute, pretty, decorated place with a variety of cakes to choose from. I only ordered the cupcake, and it tasted pretty good.

MY REVIEW: FYI: The owner has won city and regional awards for her baking.

I have repeatedly ordered the high quality, rich chocolate- the kind that has virtually no aftertaste. One chocolate dipped chocolate chip cookie or dark chocolate brownie and the good quality coffee are very filling and satisfying.

My husband loves the chicken Caesar salad wrap (sandwich). Colleagues have enjoyed the hearty soups.

The shop is very friendly, and there are clearly lots of regulars from the surrounding offices and residential neighborhoods. DG also has an active catering business (desserts and box lunches) for repeat customers. I recognized the chocolate dipped strawberries and brownies at a university gathering before seeing the caterer's name.

I like the board games on hand for entertainment with a child or adult friend over a cup of coffee. We live within walking distance and several times a month.

MY REVIEW: I was very impressed with the new location on Post Oak-what a cute restaurant. We were very pleased with our desserts as well-my Mother had the carrot cake & they even decorated the plate with carrots-very cute. I had a cupcake which was a bargain at $1.85 & it wasnt your average cupcake-it was huge! We also got a dozen choc chip cookies to go-wow-they were huge & so good!

I cant wait to go back & try their lunches-all kinds of neat wraps & boxed lunches!

Yum Yum!!

MY REVIEW: When the employees and Manager found out I was new in Town, they fawned over me and made me feel SO welcome I will always be a customer. Their cookies and brownies are fabulous...as are their cakes. A great place to have a little party, a little lunch and a delightful dessert.

MY REVIEW: I also agree that the desserts here taste old and stale. I've given them several attempts but on my last visit on a sunday afternoon they were out of 'The Big O'. I was dissapointed but told by the man helping me that I shouldn't of expected such a popular dessert to be available so late in the WEEK. So much for expecting desserts that are fresh baked DAILY...

MY REVIEW: In response to one of the reviews, I know for a fact that DG has ALWAYS and STILL DOES serve desserts by the slice and individual cookies and bars. I know I am one of the many loyal customers that return to Dessert Gallery time and time again for their excellent desserts and wonderful service. I admit I once recieved a slightly dry cookie, but when I mentioned it, they were apologetic and gladly offered something in exchange or a refund.

P.S. the "Chocolate Euphoria" is to die for!

MY REVIEW: I used to frequent the Kirby Ln location for lunch and dessert. I had not been to any of the locations for a few years. Last October I was in the mood for something sweet and when I asked them where all their sliced cake and lemon bars and other individual sweets were they said they didn't do that anymore. You had to buy an entire cake now. I couldn't believe it! I loved their individual desserts. I haven't returned since.

MY REVIEW: Place looks great to hang out at but the cakes are way too sweet. After 2 bites and you just don't want to eat it anymore. Unless you have a REAL sweet tooth, I wouldn't go.

MY REVIEW: Went there for the first time...my husband and I tried the oreo cheesecake. It was delicious, huge peices of cake, should've shared a peice. We also had coffee and cappuccino, very good as well. The service was nice and the atmoshpere was kind of eclectic. Not a place for cheap dessert, though. Will be going back soon.

MY REVIEW: I wanted to try the new location and what a disappointment it was. The cakes were super dry and old. My italian creme cake had the texture of bread and my husband's German Chocolate cake was like a brownie. The hot cocoa was a joke. I can not believe they charge this much and provide this type of terrible product of their customers. NEVER will return again!

MY REVIEW: Everything looks great, but everything tastes awful. I tried four different pastries, all of them were bland and stale-tasting. Something is fundamentally wrong with a bakery that can't even make a decent brownie. Quality ingredients are not being used and the pastries are staying in the display case way too long.

On the positive side, the cafe is bright and cheerful and the service is good. But that's not enough to get me to go back.

MY REVIEW: I went to this place anticipating some quality baked goods. I wanted to get a birthday cake from there and thought I'd do a taste test by getting a cupcake. It was stale! The frosting had that definite hardness that comes from sitting around a long time (not hardness associated with being refrigerated). I went back a second time to try again and it was the same, plus I tried a cookie and that wasn't fresh either. I'm astounded that they don't serve fresh goods and the prices they charge for these stale items are outrageous. The items I tried should have been sent to the thrift store. It's a shame, because it seemed like the goods would taste great if they were fresh. Good bakeries are hard to come by in this town.

MY REVIEW: I love the sandwiches and baked potatoe salad. I am great at baking, so I never visit bakeries, but for them I make an exception! They have the best carrot cake ever and wonderful cookies too. I used to work in next door to them and miss being able to run over each day. And let me also add I love the coffee!

MY REVIEW: Not impressed. Half a sandwich was half of half a sandwich and nothing special. My toddler and twelve year old left hungry so we had to go through drive thru fast food restaurant when we left. Food was also served with an "attitude". Not a child friendly atmosphere.
