MY REVIEW: This is the third time I go and all I can say is it's good. Great service. A little on the pricey side. Would prefer Spaghe## Warehou##. Parking is tough during lunch. Might go back.

MY REVIEW: Well, I have to say this was a negative experience. I can't give any advise on food because the attitudes were so bad I only had water. The waitress was horribly rude from the moment she walked up to my table during the entire time she was taking my order. She really needs to find a different line of work. I was so offended that after I gave her my order, I took another sip of my ice water and left.

MY REVIEW: This new Katy Fwy location is not as cozy as the old Kingsride place. However, the food is still wonderful and service great. Look for the chef's specials and you'll never be disappointed. BYO wine if OK.

MY REVIEW: Really torn about this one. Pizza is phenomenal (especially love the jalapenos on the Hawaiian) and I will continue to return for it, but the sausage/spinach ravioli we ordered was by far the worst thing I have ever eaten in a restaurant: obviously frozen, and tasted like playdoh with a tasteless gray "sauce".
Go for the pizza. Nothing else.

MY REVIEW: Went today for lunch with a few co-workers. The food was good as usual but the service was terrible. Just absolute apathy on the part of the employees - a group of them stood around talking for a few minutes before someone bothered to seat us. Then when we received the bill the waitress never showed up to collect it, so we went up to the register and asked if we could pay. The guy working there didn't even bother to turn around, just said "yeah, someone will get you in a minute."

MY REVIEW: Collina's have always been a decent italian restaurant to go to however my last experience with them was far from delightful.
Sometime in the end of february I ordered a Pizza from them (Margherita) to be delivered to my workplace. The order took about an hour (which I did not mind) and the pizza came cold. Not even warm, it was room temperature. So I called and spoke to the person who originally took my order (didn't remember her name, I know... my fault). She took down my information and offered me a free 12" Margherita Pizza for future delivery.
I specifically asked whether or not I needed a coupon for this and her reply was "No we have it automated in our system".
Fast forward to March 22, 2008 I order a pizza and told them about it and the response I get is that nobody knows about it. "It's probably this one manager that comes in on Monday" they said to me.

MY REVIEW: I order delivery from Collina's all the time. It is really good food, and they are always willing to modify our order to specifications. They get it right nearly every time. The following are really good dishes: Cheese ravioli, pizza margherita, chicken marsala, FRIED calamari (not the sauteed one which is not very good), and my favorite is the Angel Hair pomodoro fresco.

MY REVIEW: I go to the Rice Village location. It has a very cute ambiance, but is a little too load inside for me and my boyfriend, we usually sit on the patio, which is small but nice. We love to go for the pizza, it is awesome! We also had the calamari one time which was pretty good, not all chewy or rubbery like other places.
I plan to go back!

MY REVIEW: Spectacularly sub-par. Not even mediocre. Ordered calamari and a muffaleta panini to go. I live 5 minutes away. When I got home, the calamari was soggy and accompanied with what tasted like store bought red sauce. The panini was small and equally soggy, accompanied by a bland pasta salad. Having paid $16.00, plus $7.00 for tax and "take out charge", I would have expected more. I even had to wait 30 minutes for my order. There are too many other good Italian restaurants in town to waste my money on Collina's. Never again.

MY REVIEW: I ordered the chicken lasagna. Quite frankly, I was disgusted. The chicken was hard, chopped up in huge chunks. The dish was served relatively cold. And the sauce was rather tasteless. I ended up filling up on the bread they give.

MY REVIEW: Strong Points: Excellent pizza, reasonable prices, located in the Heights
Weak Points: Below average service, website loses orders, 1.5+ hour deliveries
I used to love going to Collina's in the Heights or ordering delivery. I have brought family and friends there because the pizza is outstanding, the Italian food is decent, and their prices are reasonable.
However, they have lost a customer forever due to their ineptitude. I had given up on calling to place orders because the highschoolers they hire to answer the phone were impolite and messed up orders. They have a website ordering option that avoided the highschooler so I used that happily for over a year. Tonight, for the third time, their website has displayed an order confirmation, but the restaurant claims to never have received the order. There are other pizza places in the Heights with delivery times two or three times quicker.

MY REVIEW: i will definitely visit this fun place again! the food is delicious. they have their own website so google it and read their menu. it's a byob joint but they have a great and cheap wine selection as well! my boyfriend and i ordered the calamari for appetizers. it isn't a fried dish. instead, it's sauteed in oregano, rosemary, olive oil and butter. the calamari wad tender and not at all chewy. the complimentary foccaccia bread is amazing and always warm. it was fun to sop of the juices with the bread. my bf ordered the chicken parm and i ordered the tetrazini fetuccine. both were delicious and had great portions. a lot of the tables around us were ordering pizza or the seafood pasta dish. the only weak point with this place is that it's small. but people were in and out pretty quickly. hope you will have the same experience i did.

MY REVIEW: last time i was Collinas at meyerland i called in some food to take home. It was a friday night and they were really packed, as soon as i got to the front desk one of the two friendly hosstesses asked if i had been helped (since there was a line, they sometimes dont know who has been helped or has not) i said no and she asked my name and called for it to the kitchen. after 5 min she called it again but the food wasnt ready and nobody from the kitchen let her/me know. the two girls had to answer the phone that never stopped ringing, help the people waiting for their food at the front, sit the new people coming in to the restaurant, pack the orders for pick up, and one of them helped the bus person to clean some tables and put them together for a large party...and still she got yelled at from another customer because the food wasnt ready! i was shocked. i dont know if all the hostesses work as hard as these two but the only thing i was able to do was thank them for their friendliness and efficiency. i asked for the hostesses' name to write in a comment card that bianca and cindy were awsome, but unfortunately i forgot to leave the card when i left
The food took a long time because appparently the kitchen staff was short that night. but the "chicken marsala" and the "ribeye tuscano" were DELICIOUS.
Im definetly coming back to this place and i will recomend it to my friends.
fiendly and efficient service. not good for kids though.

MY REVIEW: I've been to most of the Collina's and find one thread consistent throughout...good food, great BYOB, and mediocre service. I had a waiter completely ignore me last night at the one on 19th, and never apologized once.
Last night my food wasn't that great either...the eggplant parmigiana tasted like some reheated frozen fried hockeypucks, and the marinara was thin and bland.
The more I go, the more I think that people seem to love this place so much because it's BYOB.

MY REVIEW: Great food, great service, reasonable prices, friendly and efficient, pleasant decor, good atmosphere. Fab fab fab....!!!
Unfortunately like many others I have found the noise levels way too loud. Why do so many restaurants think it's cool to have the kitchen in the same space as the rest of the restaurant? I would like to say it isn't cool ...it's noisy!

MY REVIEW: I've been to S*tar Pizza before and was not satisfied with the service compared to Collina's. The management at Collina's makes a real effort to do whatever it takes to keep their customers happy. On one occasion a woman became angry because her bottle of wine had some cork in it after the waiter opened it for her (the bottle that she had brought). She caused such a scene that the manager had to come over and calm her down. He even offered to strain the bottle of wine, which I thought was a generous offer considering how busy the restaurant was at that time.
I've been to Collina's several times with my husband and we're never disappointed with the food quality (the portion size is generous) or the waitstaff. Weekends can be very busy, however, we've not had to wait for a table for more than 15 minutes each time we've stopped by. The parking lot gets packed quickly, so I usually get there a bit earlier to get a table. I don't like all the noisy kid though; my advice: leave them with the babysitter!!

MY REVIEW: The waitstaff were friendly and provided quick service when I told them that I was in a hurry to make it to a movie on time. My date had the Fettucine Tettrazini and I had the personal pizzette. The food was delicious and I've been satisfied each time I'm been (a few other times with friends).
The parking is okay (a little packed on weekends, which is expected) and it seemed like there were a lot of couples who brought their own wine. The only irritating thing I could think of would have to be the loud children (there were quite a few kids on the night I went).

MY REVIEW: Great restaurant! We had 16 people in our party, and almost everyone brought a bottle of wine, and they managed to accommodate us very nicely. Great BYOB hole in the wall kind of place. The best margherita pizza I've had. Pretty loud, but the place has been packed every time I've been in there.

MY REVIEW: We eat at Collina's, either delivery or in the restaurant, about once per week (over the past year), and have never been disappointed. The pizzas are delicious--I love the fact that you can get a whole wheat crust and some toppings that seem healthier than pepperoni and hamburger. Also, the chicken dishes and pastas are equally as good. Food is reasonably priced. We will continue to order out from Collinas, as well as visit the restaurant.
