MY REVIEW: The oldtimer doesn't seem to be the same as I remember from growing up in Houston and eating at the old dive-in's. Now when I visit I am disapointed. The burgers I have ordered on the past 3 or 4 times have been dry, the tomato's are not chopped like I remember and the fries are not the same. When it comes to places like this that survive on name and reputation, the product must remain consistent with the original, otherwise what's the point? I won't be back.

MY REVIEW: As a person who was raised out in the suburbs, I just had to try out some of Houston' finest burger locations and this place was recommended to me. Due to the facts that I am a huge burger lover and that there aren't many unique burger joints like there are in the city, I was anxious to come here. I ate the Pepper Jack burger and was quite pleased. The beef was not as seasoned as desired but with all the toppings and the great taste of the poppyseed bun, everything was quite satisfactory. The fries and onion rings were great (especially the onion rings). I hate having to choose between fries or onion rings so I was pleased when I saw that both accompanied an order. I will definitely be returning to Prince's.

MY REVIEW: Old Video games in game room, my kids got bored very quickly with selection.

1 Big screen TV to catch the game on, screen was washed out making it difficult to see, The TV was an antique rear projection. Burgers are flame broiled and very juicy. Chicken tenders were not hand dipped like I like. Nothing to write home about.

MY REVIEW: Stopped in for the first time to any Prince's Hamburgers and was horribly disappointed. I'm usually not a picky eater at all, but I felt like I had to share this experiene. I went in at 2pm - so not a rush time. Ordered the lady burger. Sadly, this was the thinnest most overcooked, leathery piece of hamburger I've ever had. I felt really gipped paying 8.00 for this combo. The onion rings also were too doughy/battered. Restaurant itself had a fun ambience, but I had to take mine to go. I hope this was a one time occurrence, but I don't think I'll ever go back to find out.

MY REVIEW: This place is much better than the one on the SW Fwy...they make them to order and don't use patties that are already cooked ahead of time. Same for the Orings

MY REVIEW: Excellent variety of burger combos to choose from. The burgers are juicy and served on a large poppyseed bun. Instead of having to choose between fries and onion rings...you can have both with your burger combo. The shakes are also extremely tasty since they are made using bluebell ice-cream. The Briar Forest location is located close to Beltway 8 in a new strip mall area. Plenty of parking. Prince's Hamburgers will not disappoint, which is why they've been open for over 75 years.

MY REVIEW: Burgers small and weak, chicken tenders were also a disappointment. Tenders were very small and dry, definitely overcooked. Will go to better burger joints from now on, P*appy's is still king for burgers.

MY REVIEW: They open a new location in downtown so I gave it a try today. It turned out to be my last time there. The meat was so bland and so was the onion rings. For those who love this chain have you tried B*eck's Prime, J*ax, F*uddruckers, C*harlie's, C*liff's etc.? To me even J*ack In The Box has beter burgers!

MY REVIEW: Great Burgers - & if you haven't tried the fried shrimp; do yourself a favor!

Plus one of the top 3 best onion rings in Houston. I've read some of the other reviews (negative) & wonder what are these folks smoking? Prince's has FRESH, FLAVORFUL, food with even better value. Hand-made shakes & great variety of soft-drinks you don't find in other places. I know many people who consider themselves burger afficionados and they all LOVE this place (any of the locations will do -as they all are the same quality.) The people are always friendly & will correct easily any problems if made. A Houston institution for 60+ years.

MY REVIEW: My husband and I drove from The Woodlands to experience this bit of Houston history. It so was not worth the drive! We both got "the original", shared the combo fries/onion rings, and I had a fat-free yogurt chocolate shake. My husband liked his burger but I thought the burger had a strange after-taste. I did not like it at all! It tasted like elementary school lunchroom burgers I had in the early 1970's. Yuck. I even tried to cover it up with black pepper and steak sauce. Maybe it was freezer-burn? The fries were good and the onion rings were OK. The fat-free yogurt chocolate shake was so good I am suspicious that maybe ... it was not fat-free yogurt?? IF we go again, I would not get the burger but would try another sandwich.

MY REVIEW: The Greenway Plaza lunch bunch again took advantage of location, location, location to wander across the freeway for lunch. We consumed three burger platters with fries and onion rings with gusto and relish! Prince's is on the top of our list for best burger in the area. Our burgers were generously sized, hot off the grill, juicy and cooked to order. I had to think hard for a weak point and I suppose it would be the dryish onion rings. But hey - dunk 'em in ketchup and eat up!

MY REVIEW: After hearing all the raves about the original restaurant, my family and I went to the location on Katy Freeway. The staff was friendly and very efficient and the shake was good, but the BURGERS were the worst pieces of cow cardboard you could try to eat. We had to drown them in mustard and ketchup to get them down. Tasteless and with a stale bun. This IS NOT the location if you want a good, juicy flavorful burger.
