MY REVIEW: I have been going to this restaurant ever since it opened, about 15 yrs. now. The food is excellent, the service is awesome, the owner is wonderful. He will do anything your little heart desires to make your visit a memorable one. I cannot imagine one not being satified dining here. It is the by far the BEST RESTAURANT IN HOUSTON all the way around.

Give it a try, you will not be disppointed!!! Thank you Hossein for everything extra you do for your customers..

MY REVIEW: We have been to The Lexington Grill several times and it is our favorite restaurant. My wife and I do a lot of client entertaining having been in some top restaurants from Huston to New York and this is a great restaurant.

Friday night we took clients there having a total party of 6 and arriving for our 8:30pm reservation time. Virtually all tables were full. We were seated immediately and the waiter was there for our drink orders within 2 minutes. After bringing our drinks he gave us about 15 minutes to visit and enjoy our drinks before bringing the menus. It was a very enjoyable evening with great service, excellent food and atmosphere and two visits by the owner to assure things were right.

The only blunder was when the check came. I was visiting with the clients and unlike me did not review it closely. I paid the check with my normal 20% tip and we all left. The next day I started thinking about what all we had and realized we were undercharged by some $95-$100. I called the owner and informed him of the situation and that I owed him more money. He took my number and said he would check things out and call me back. When he called back he said I was correct and was in fact undercharged some $100 but it was their mistake and he was not going to charge me. I appreciate his offer but will be sending him the money today.

We have always had great food, great service and a great atmosphere at the Lexington Grill and I would highly recommend it to anyone. As I read some of the bad reviews I think I can honestly say that those who had a bad experience are definitely the exception and not the norm. Give it another try and you will probably walk away with a different opinion.

For information purposes, I am in no way associated with The Lexington Grill other than as a very satisfied customer.

MY REVIEW: This is one of the better upscale boutique restaurants in Houston. Strong points: Decor was subdued elegant, space intimate, service very good, food superb, if not excellent. Definitely a place to have a romantic dinner or to impress. Weak points: valet parking was unnecessary, wine list was extremely expensive, staff had a slightly supercilious attitude. Cost: This outing was about $100 for two people with house wine, one soup, two entrees, desert, and tip, plus a $1 to valet guy even though I parked the car.

MY REVIEW: Food good, service was arrogant. My friend and I went there to celebrate my birthday. When first seated they asked if we would be having wine, I said probably not for myself and my friend said maybe. They promptly took my wine glass and disappeared. No one asked if there was anything else I would like to drink, like tea, so I basically had water (of course, I could have requested something else if it was that important to me). We sat there for what seemed like a very long time and then finally had to request the menu and wine list. Sure, some may think that is a classy move, to not feel rushed and enjoy your company but my friend and I met for drinks somewhere else, so we had our catch up time and we were ready to have dinner (it was 8:30pm).

We both requested the lamb and he asked me how i wanted it cooked and i said "medium-well", he said "medium-rare?" and i repeated "medium-well", he said "Are you serious?!". If I want undercooked meat I'll have sushi! My friend, who is a foodie said she would have it however the chef recommends, so they were fawning all over her the rest of the dinner.

The food was good and I did like my lamb, at med-well but I thought the service was so lacking and arrogant. You know, those times when you feel like a nobody teenager in a grown up place instead of a middle aged, successful woman.

I can check this place off my list, there are too many great places in houston to bother returning here.

MY REVIEW: I had eaten lunch at the Lexington a couple of times, and after reading all the reviews decided it would be the perfect place to take our good friends, in from out of town. It was the perfect place to come. We were seated in a small alcove between the two main dining areas and it was quiet and easy to talk. Our waiter was fun, friendly, very knowledgeable about the food, and was attentive without being intrusive. Food was absolutely perfect and delicious, and our friends mention what a fabulous dinner they had with us every time we talk with them. In a city where most restaurants are so noisy you can't hear yourself think, the Lexington Grille is a wonderful exception. I've recommended this place to anyone and everyone who will listen.

MY REVIEW: This restaurant is a hidden gem. I have been there many times, small events to groups of more than 10 and i always have been pleased with the impeccable service and the exceptional food. A gastronomic delight. The owner continues to improve the decor and it still has the small home charm. Appetizers featuring crab and shrimp are to die for and a few months ago I had the poblano pepper soup which was wonderful. The rack of lamb is good but my favourite is the sea bass. Can't tell you much about desserts as I am full by then. Take a loved one and let the grill staff take you on unforgetful oddesey.

MY REVIEW: I took an old friend here for a birthday dinner. We were looking for a new place to eat that had great food and was quiet enough to talk. The Lexington was the perfect place. The atmosphere was lovely, quiet, intimate, and the staff was excellent.

We enjoyed the crab cakes, baby greens with apple, and the sea bass. The food was wonderful, some of the best i have ever eaten!

I would highly reccommend this to anyone who either desires great food or a nice quiet romantic dining experience.

I cant wait to return and try the desserts (we were too full to order any).

MY REVIEW: This place is perfect! Read on to find out.

I was frantically looking for a place to take my wife on our 1 year anniversary. We heard of this cozy Lexington Grill, so I called to make reservations, with little expectations.

The ambience envelopes you the moment you walk in. We were immediately atteneded. Anton, our caretaker that night, remembered me by name the moment we stepped in.

Service there is impeccable. Staff was so personal and polite. Even though it was our first time visit, the staff treated us like we were old friends.

Now the best part: the food! The food is unbelievable! From the custom bread dip all the way to the desert, it was perfect. I had the beef tenderloin and simply put, it was amazing; the best I ever tasted. It was perfect from the plating, presentation and full of flavor. Perfectly cooked. My wife had the chicken pierno: another masterpiece accompanied with the lemon basil pasta; a dish that cannot be overlooked from its simple menu name.

For dessert, they blessed us with the BEST creme brulee in all of Houston. No exaggeration needed to describe that. It simply needs to be tasted to understand the truth in that bold statement.

Also had a Pinot Noir; another perfect score. I must be buying the wrong wine at home after realizing the full bouquet this pinot controlled.

Lexington also went the extra mile to put our wine (with 2 refills) and dessert on the house too!

This place truly made our first anniversary memorable. We are wholly anticipating our next visit, which cannot be soon enough.

Thank you so much Anton and Lexington Grill!

Why are you still reading this?! Go eat there now!

MY REVIEW: This is my new favorite restaurant in Houston. Everything is perfect, from the intimate setting, to the delicately sauced snapper. The portion sizes are perfect. You have enough room to try the bread with the incredible oil, one of their imaginative salads, and have an entree without feeling stuffed. I am not usually a sauce fan when it comes to my fish, but the light mushroom sauce on the snapper dish was simply outstanding. I cannot say enough good things about The Lexington. If you enjoy fine dining, low-key service, and magnificent food, this is your place.

MY REVIEW: Once again, this restaurant was truly a delight. We dined with good friends and found the appetizers, entree's and desserts PERFECT! The sauces and tastes were imaginative, yet comfortable and of course our waiter was courteous, helpful and inconspicuous. Hossein was there making sure every detail was attended to. We will continue our traditions of special evenings with friends at this intimate, fabulous place. Thank you to Hossein and his staff!

MY REVIEW: Had dinner at Lexington grille last night and found the place to be really charming and comforable. Perfect place to be able to talk business or otherwise, as the ambient noise level is managible. We had the Grilled Artic Char with a light sauce and baby shrimp topping and suateed spinach. The portion size was perfect, not a massive plate of food. And the taste was outstanding. I alos found the wine list to be reasonable for such an upscale place. I will definitely return.

MY REVIEW: This is the best restaurant in Houston... from every aspect. The service is exceptional and the food is consistently delicious... perfectly prepared. The owner makes it his business to know you and he remembers you when you return. We've taken friends and family here over the years and we have never, never been disappointed. This lovely, yet unpretentious setting is perfect for anyone. Chilean sea bass is my favorite, and without a doubt, the BEST home made soups in the world can be found here. Try it, definitely. You'll be back.
