MY REVIEW: My review from last time still stands - WONDERFUL. My husband and I have been here several other times, but did not put in a review. This time, we had the SAME meal as we had before - the chicken pistacchio and the linguine pescatore - and it was - once again- FABULOUS. The taste of the food, the temperature of the food, the quantity of the food, and the service were all great. Love the salad, the salad dressing and the bread, too. (The only thing thus far that we would not recommend, which we had on a previous visit, is the lasagne.) And for us, it is close to home with easy parking.

MY REVIEW: Nick's Pasta is AMAZING!!!! Quite obviously they have mastered authentic Italian cuisine and much more! We luv the family vibe and warm service. Of course the food is sinfully good, the shrimp appetizers other seafood and chicken were all delicious. Fresh ingredients, carefully applied flavors and simply tasty. The only problem is that its too far from home to visit more frequently but otherwise perfect.

MY REVIEW: I will start off by saying that I agree with the other reviews in this forum. We have dined here a dozen times over the last 4 years and the food is consistently good, especially the pistacio chicken. That said, I need to relate the following experience... on our last visit, I was appalled upon reviewing my check when I saw a split fee for a (rather pricey) kid's spaghetti plate that my 7-year-old shared with his 2-year-old brother. When I asked the manager about it, she told me that we were "getting off easy" since she could charge an additonal split fee because my wife and I "sampled" each other's entrees (my wife's was the aforementioned pistacio chicken). I have no problem with a split fee to cover additional cost of sides and effort for delivery/presentation when an entree is split in the kitchen, but this was just plain petty. Not only did the manager not remedy the situation, she returned with my credit card slip filled in for tip and total. In a restaurant-laden city like Houston, this type of service and disrespect for patrons should not be tolerated - period!

MY REVIEW: This was our first trip to Nick's. If I could sum up Nick's in one word (but I can't), it would be - WONDERFUL! My husband had the Chicken Pistacchio which he said was very good and I had the linguine pescatore (piping hot in temperature and chock full of seafood). Bread and a salad came with our meals. The bread was so hot when it arrived at the table, we could not immediately pick it up (how do they do it and not burn it?). The salad was great with the delicous house dressing. Wine by the glass is very reasonably priced. Our waiter was very efficient and nice. We will definitely go back again (and again).

MY REVIEW: Nick's is one of my favorite restaurants. Rather than repeat the praises of dishes others have celebrated, I will tell you about my four favorite dishes.
Before I begin, let me say that the apparent somewhat high prices will mean you will have to take half of it home making the price per serving very reasonable. Besides you very much get what you pay for in quality.
So to my four favorites: Pistachio Chicken described by MaxGabe which is coated solid with chopped pistacjios and topped with sun-dried tomamtoes, artichokes, mushrooms and green onions in a white wine creamy sauce; Chicken Cacciatore is chicken breast topped with peppers, mushrooms, onions in a fresh tomato sauce;
Shrimp Marinara which is sateed with fresh tomatoes, garlic, basil and herbs in marinara sauce (the chunkiest, tastiest marinara I've ever had); and my all time favorite is Snapper Livornese which is a freshly baked snapper filet with fresh tomatoes, garlic, celery, onions, capers, black olives and basil. Go and enjoy.

MY REVIEW: We absolutely love this place, the food is always fabulous, and the waitstaff are curtious and prompt. It's excellent italian food, but you can go dressed very casually. The pistacio crusted chicken is one of my favorite dishes - ever. For Valentine's day, they handed out roses to EVERY lady, and chocolate valentines chocolates to every child, what a nice and personal touch! I really like this place and highly recommend it. We live near Bellaire and visit that location.

MY REVIEW: After moving into the area, we visited Nick's several years ago only to be disappointed with the experience. Over the past year, many of our friends and neighbors couldn't say enough good things about Nick's. We decided to revisit and it was fabulous! The best spaghetti I've ever had. We'll definitely be regulars now! I'm glad we opted to give this place another try.

MY REVIEW: The pasta pescatore is excellent. My wife had chicken with brocoli and rice and it was delicious too. Ilove the people there too. Also my son had the fetuccini alfredo. Good job

MY REVIEW: Delicious food! Service is very good. Lovely patio with lighted fountain. There were 15 adults and 3 children in our party and all were delighted with the food. Portions were large, enough that most of us took home enough for another meal. The pistachio coated chicken was covered with sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, artichoke hearts and a creamy lemon sauce. Wonderful. The seafood pasta, the lasagne,the eggplant all drew raves from the people in our party. Hot garlic bread on the table and the house dressing was also very good. Now for the best part the "Mango Sorbet". So good I had to take one home for the next day. It was served in a half of a mango. Worth a trip for the dessert tray alone. Our group liked it so much we are talking about having our Christmas Party at Nick's.
