12914 FM 1960 Rd W, Houston, Texas 77065 832.912.7772 MY REVIEW: I have been a fan of Texadelphia for many years, since the mid 90's, and was glad they opened one in Cy-Fair.
Unfortunately, I don't think I will be going to this location any more. While the food is consistently good, as with the other locations, there is one thing I can't get past:
The last 2 times I've visited, either myself or the customer in front of me was badgered to leave a tip in the tip jar at the counter when paying. I think is presumptuous enough just to even HAVE a tip jar at the counter for a "wait-in-line, order-at-the-counter" restaurant. But to have the cashier make remarks like "hey be sure to take care of (pointing at the tip jar), we're working hard", twice, is too much for me. Now, if I felt like leaving a tip, I would leave it at the table, based on the service I received (if any, at an "order at the counter" restaurant).
There are too many other places to get a good cheesesteak in that immediate area to deal with this.

2420 Rice Blvd, Houston, Texas 77005 713.522.8588 MY REVIEW: Have had food from here picked up and dined in. The food is ok, the cheesesteaks I would say are on average with every other sub shop in Houston. Chips and queso are good and the curly fries and queso is probably the best dish in the house lol. The one time I dined in I can't complain. My order came out in a couple minutes but as for the rest of my poor party, they were sitting probably 15 mins at least and started wondering if the order had been misplaced before a couple of the orders finaly started arriving. Not a bad place, if you are picky, or eat out with someone who likes to complain I would not recommend this place as you/they will find plenty to complain about more then likely.

12914 FM 1960 Rd W, Houston, Texas 77065 832.912.7772 MY REVIEW: I am so happy that there is finally a location in the Cyfair area. Food was great and there are a ton of TVs to watch games. Definitely start off with the queso and chips- best queso in town. My favorite cheesesteak is the Texican, but the mustard blend sauce is unbelievably good. Staff is very friendly.

2420 Rice Blvd, Houston, Texas 77005 713.522.8588 MY REVIEW: First of all, whatever you order at texadelphia, make sure you tell them to go a bit easy on the grease. Everything was so oily, and i know its a cheesesteak place, but that doesn't mean you sog the sandwhich in oil. The meat however was very tender but wasn't seasoned well; they made up for that by pouring sauces over it. We also ordered queso and chips and i think that they could've invested in some better nacho chips- the chips would break immediately after dipping. Paid a total of $6 with no drink and had to sit on the bar table because there was no more room. Kind of cramped up. Overall, it's an okay place to eat lunch once every year.

12102 Westheimer Rd, Houston, Texas MY REVIEW: It's really a shame that this location had to close, and that I only got to visit once. The food was plentiful and delicious. The salsa and the queso was surprisingly good - some of the best I've ever had. My cheesesteak (I think it was called the fiesta) was awesome as well, and the waitress was super nice. I was looking forward to soon trying other things on their menu as well, and found out they were closed. I think they were just in a bad location that was not only hard to get to, but was very close to P*hilly Connection (which serves overpriced food and mediocre service).

6025 Westheimer Rd, Houston, Texas 77057 713.785.6700 MY REVIEW: The sandwiches were OK, however, $8.99 for 12 wings ?? With tax and tip, I'm paying $12.00 for 12 WINGS !! These wings are about the size of my pinky finger. Maybe a little wider !! This is a complete ripoff. Some of the menu is alright, however, I will highly recommend DO NOT be taken for granted by ordering the wings !! Shame on you Texadelphia !!

6025 Westheimer Rd, Houston, Texas 77057 713.785.6700 MY REVIEW: Our group of 16 people went to the Galleria area location for lunch today (we made reservations) and we waited ONE HOUR for our food. I kid you not. It was awful. Some of our people had to leave without eating to go back to business meetings.
They comp'd us for the entire lunch, but sheesh, that hardly made up for it.

6025 Westheimer Rd, Houston, Texas 77057 713.785.6700 MY REVIEW: Once is enough for me a native of Philly, what is the deal with adding sauces to your steak?? The flavor comes from the bread, meat & cheese! I'm also new to the city and that is the first I saw of a steak shop. Oh the cheese no taste moz, geewiz that is really bad, no wonder they have to have sauces.

5535 Memorial Dr, Houston, Texas 77007 713.868.3100 MY REVIEW: The atmosphere is ok - like a sports bar. The food is low quality. The meat literally tasted like it had been boiled and had no flavor, and it was very tough. There are sauces you can get - I guess that is where the flavor is supposed to come from; but I prefer to have a meat that is season and cooked nicely with its onions and peppers. Have had better steak meat from S*ubway and at a better cost.

6025 Westheimer Rd, Houston, Texas 77057 713.785.6700 MY REVIEW: All I can say is once is enough. Everyone who says that this place rocks, or is a good value is sheltered. I admit that it has a so-so eating environment, but the food has to be edible. The prices were outrageous for the size, and the meat is low quality. Before everyone jumps all over me, give me the benefit of the doubt and take yourself down to P*hilly Subs on Hillcroft and Richmond. They don't have specialty sauces, bring your own if you like, but the mix of quality meat and cheese don't need any help at this restaurant. Its a tiny place, but the staff is friendly, the bun toasted, and the 12" cheese steak is less than $6.00 I won't settle for anything else!

2420 Rice Blvd, Houston, Texas 77005 713.522.8588 MY REVIEW: Some friends and I went to Texadelphia at the Rice location one afternoon. The guy behind the counter literally YELLED at us when we sat down and told us that table was for someone else. When we reluctantly placed our order, he rolled his eyes when we couldn't decide what we wanted. This should have been a clue to leave, but we were hungry. We got the Philly Cheesesteaks. They tasted bland, and the cheese tasted like glue.
The ambiance was not bad though. It was a bit small, but not bad.
I am not writing the whole chain off, but I will never set foot in the Rice location again.

5535 Memorial Dr, Houston, Texas 77007 713.868.3100 MY REVIEW: Their bread is nuked in the microwave which made the bread very tough and chewy. The meat inside the sandwich is soo hot from the microwave you have to wait to eat it. I will not return until the bread is toaster broiled or heated on a flat grill like a hamburger bun. However, the chili con queso was good.

2420 Rice Blvd, Houston, Texas 77005 713.522.8588 MY REVIEW: I have been going since 1993 when the only location was on the 'Drag' in Austin. I just have to say the quality has gone down!!! I wanted them to franchise into Houston. The Houston locations were okay when they first opened. The last year or so the quality really has gone down. The chips are from a different vendor. They dont include the pickles anymore.
I am looking for another steak sandwich shop. The size has gone to ultra small for the regular cheesesteak. I think the only way to get a regular size now is to order the $7.99 Large. That's 3 times the price for the cheesesteak back in 1993. I have tolerated it up until now, but I will just buy the mustard blend and use it on other cheesesteak place when I can find one. The prices for the small cheesesteak is over $6 now. They were changing the board in Austin when I visited last.
For long timers, if its been a while, you will be disappointed. My advice is to buy the sauce you like and make the sandwich yourself.

2420 Rice Blvd, Houston, Texas 77005 713.522.8588 MY REVIEW: Great Queso. Cheesesteak sandwich was mediocre at best. More like fine ground meat and very little cheese and onions. Very small place and difficult to get a table. They won't let you get a table before placing your order. Don't like places who tell me what to do like that. Probably won't be going back there, at least any time soon.

6025 Westheimer Rd, Houston, Texas 77057 713.785.6700 MY REVIEW: One of my most favorite places to eat, whether I am in Houston, Austin, or San Antonio. First, order Chips and Queso with some extra jalepenos on the side. Then get yourself a regular, no onions, grilled in jalapenos, and top it off with mustard blend sauce.....yummy!! Yes, it is greasy and unhealthy, but it is the best cheesesteak I have ever had. I definitely prefer the greasy Texadelphia cheesesteak to the original dry Pat's Philly Cheesesteak. I will try Pat's again when I go back to Philly, but I might just have to take some of the Texadelphia signature mustard blend sauce with me when I do. Enjoy!!

2420 Rice Blvd, Houston, Texas 77005 713.522.8588 MY REVIEW: Really greasy steak sandwich -- soaked through the bread and into the paper by the time I got it home (2 minutes away). I ate about half and chucked the rest.
Gross.

6025 Westheimer Rd, Houston, Texas 77057 713.785.6700 MY REVIEW: Typical bar food not a strong value considering the portion and quality offered. I found the cheesesteak sandwiches to be too small and not enough meat in them. Friendly bar staff more than make up despite being busy during peak game times.

2420 Rice Blvd, Houston, Texas 77005 713.522.8588 MY REVIEW: Chips and Salsa come with each sandwich. We all had cheesesteaks which were good lunch size portions. Double meat and other extras are available. Hamburgers are also on the menu. The place is small and parking in the Village can be a pain, but the service was good and the 11 to noon crowd wasn't so big that our group of four couldn't get one of the few booths.

2420 Rice Blvd, Houston, Texas 77005 713.522.8588 MY REVIEW: I think that this place rocks. There is a great atmosphere and the food is excellent. They are known for there cheesesteaks, so try one of them. The hamburgers arent the best but they are still good. Try a chicken cheesesteak with jalepenos and mustard blend, its my favorite. They have the best queso in town by far. And no matter how many times you ask they will not tell you the ingrdients of the mustard blend. For two people out to dinner with two sandwiches and chips and queso the total bill will not be more than 20 bucks, that without extras and no alcohol. So the price is great.

6025 Westheimer Rd, Houston, Texas 77057 713.785.6700 MY REVIEW: **** - You have to try the cheesesteak with grilled in jalapenos with the mustard blend sauce. I drive 35 miles to have one. I recomend splitting fries because the baskets are very big.

6025 Westheimer Rd, Houston, Texas 77057 713.785.6700 MY REVIEW: Worst cheesesteak ever, I'll take a cheeseteak sandwich from Chili's over this place any day. The meat was like ground meat instead of thinly sliced steak, and had barely any cheese. Small portion fries and onion rings too. Overpriced.

MY REVIEW: This was one of my favorites in Austin. Gotta try the Ranch topping on the philly cheesesteak. Not healthy, but darn good food. I wish they would serve fries with thier sandwiches though. 8 out of 10
